Movacar tricks customers by changing Roadsurfer’s rental terms — avoid booking through them
Wanted to warn others about my experience with Movacar.
I booked a Roadsurfer camper van via Movacar, thinking it was the same deal — unlimited mileage included, as Roadsurfer always advertises. Turns out Movacar quietly limits your kilometers and then charges extra, even though you’re renting the exact same van from the same partner.
When I questioned this, their support basically said their “conditions override Roadsurfer’s,” which honestly feels like a scammy practice. Roadsurfer confirmed to me directly that mileage is unlimited when booked with them — but Movacar just profits off changing the terms.
It’s shady and not transparent. Save yourself the headache and book directly with Roadsurfer instead.
