We applied for a mortgage for a co-op through Mortgage 300 NMLS# 162651 . Our main consultant Manuel Gonzalez, NMLS # 346916 advised us that he had over 20 years of closing co-ops. With that in mind, we paid numerous co-op fees including a non-refundable application fee, a moving fee, the inspection fee as well as an earnest deposit. Manuel said he left in May 2019 although he is listed as a co-owner in numerous places online including LinkedIn, Yelp and Zillow of Mortgage 300. We gave up our affordable studio. The day before closing in late July, we were told that Mortgage 300 did not have the correct software to generate the co-op closing documents. We have since paid for hotel stays and for a storage unit. We are still trying to figure out how much we lost by buying take out meals
We need to rent a home so we are paying a realtor fee to rent a new place. Mortgage 300 gave us no money for the inconvenience. The seller's lawyer is threatening to keep our earnest deposit.
Mortgage 300 has turned our lives upside down and cost us money that we are saving to fix up our home. We are now effectively homeless until we move into our rental with an infant. If this isn't fraud, I don't know what is. I don't know this company is allowed to exist.
