One of the best banking apps I have…

One of the best banking apps I have used so far. The progress of various operations is exceptionally clear, and the whole process of linking accounts and transferring funds was transparent and very well designed. The guidance and explanations throughout made everything easy to follow – I have not experienced this level of clarity before. I hope this high standard continues. Thanks.

Feels like the bigger banks but more competitive

Most competitive rates in November 2025 and honoured to the end of 2026. Convenient and easy to use the app and the email and text notifications of fund movements are very helpful. Impressed at the high quality of the app, better than some of the bigger global banks. I did have one challenge when changing phones and facing limitations so I couldn’t access my account for days. But I think this is similar to most banks and customer service was great and all UK-based. Also, would be good if I can transfer money in from any account rather than only one linked account. But very pleased overall!

Inaccurate App

I will be transferring from this bank asap. Looking on my ISA recently, it stated my contributions this tax year were £0. I immediately paid money in as I was almost certain I had paid in but it’s a bank, and they have to be right? I subsequently transferred and the new ISA provider rejected the “extra” as I had previously used my allowance. When challenged, Monument said they were unable to check. So, lazy, dangerously inaccurate and full of faults in the app… no thanks.

How about keeping it simple?

I do not use QR codes nor Apps on my phone. I previously had easy access to my account via a simple log-in process on my laptop.That worked very well. Whatever the current system is , it is incomprehensible to me. A return to KISS Theory would be a good first step.

Beware Monument Sharp Practices!

Monument have refused to pay my £200 loyalty reward - even after they’d confirmed to me IN WRITING that they would! They wrote:
“Your £200 Loyalty Reward is confirmed. We'll pay it by 16 March 2026.”
The email also said
“If you don't hold either [Monument account], we'll pay it into your linked account.”
So I closed the Monument account the same day, in good faith - safe in the knowledge that they had confirmed the payment & would pay it into my linked bank account. But now they say they won’t pay up - because I closed their account before they paid up. They claim it’s in the T&Cs - but it isn’t.
So now it’s with the FOS!

There’s no point responding to a review if you’ve nothing new to say. I reviewed you BECAUSE you’d already sent a Final Response letter - formally rejecting my complaint. So why bother to say ‘contact you directly’ if you’ve already closed the door to any reasonable discussions? My only option after a Final Response is to complain to the Financial Ombudsman - which I’ve done. And to post a negative review on Trustpilot - which I’ve done here.

I’m intrigued that you also claim to have “shared my feedback on the communication with the relevant team”. Why would you do that? It implies you think there’s something wrong with your communications. If so - why don’t you accept responsibility for your mistake & pay me what you owe? I deposited £50k with you for 11 weeks - 2 weeks more than your rules stipulated. You claim I withdrew the money 3 days too early & so refuse to pay me ANYTHING - let alone the full £200 you owe me.

So - why suggest I contact you again now? Are you going to change your mind?

Sad to go!

I've had an ISA with Monument for over a year but am transferring to another provider only because they now have a better rate of interest. I'm really sad to go as they've been really great - the app is clear and easy to use, they're very easy to contact either via the app or the phone and you get instantly to a real person, and they've been very helpful. Would highly recommend.
