New item discovered used!

We have used modelZone in the past and they are a competent and friendly retailer.

Disappointed then that the company chose to send out a Limited edition Harry Potter Locomotive when clearly there were signs of previous use. The opened sealed Hornby brown box held by a single strip of Sellotape. The faded gold plate on the wheels and the tampered with red container box undermined its credibility. The display case is usually separate and not used, the train should come in its red cardboard container, this was not the case with this item. The display box silk was torn due to the train being placed in it.

Despite apology with prompt replacement it leaves the company open to question, why was this allowed to be sent and how could it happen? Clearly a customer who had returned it for whatever reason or a display model, who knows. It is deemed that Modelzone sent it out on assumption that no one would know any different!

Afraid not Modelzone, by definition, modellers have a keen eye for detail!
