I love how I can pay for 3+ months and it's not super expensive... Buuut I HATE how my phone barely works and NOTHING on the Internet will work without being connected to WiFi! 😕

Buyer warning: 25 days of runaround, no delivery, no escalation, no accountability Please don’t order phones on the Mint Mobile website. Based on my experience, you may never get your device. My review is just a drop in the ocean, but I’m sharing it to help others avoid the same mess. What I went through horrible mess. Order placed: 25 days ago Status: Not delivered. Stuck between Mint Mobile and FedEx. Time spent: Calling Mint Mobile daily for 20 days with no resolution. What happened I ordered a phone from Mint Mobile. The shipping label had an address issue. I contacted Mint to fix it; they told me to reach out to FedEx . FedEx said what any carrier says: only the shipper (Mint) can change the address or authorize a return. I relayed this to Mint—for 20 days. Nothing. FedEx now says the package can’t be delivered or returned until Mint Mobile calls them and provides Mint’s shipping account details. Mint’s agents repeatedly said they don’t have the account number or don’t know how to give FedEx what’s needed. Every call felt like starting over: no case ownership, no supervisor, no escalation, no follow‑through. The tone was dismissive and unhelpful. Why this is unacceptable Basic logistics failure: If you can’t coordinate with your own carrier to correct an address, you shouldn’t ship phones. No accountability: FedEx needs the shipper to act. Mint didn’t. Result: my order sits somewhere at fedex —neither delivered nor returned. No escalation path: I was told there’s no one above the frontline who could take action. That’s not customer support; that’s a wall. Time sink: Nearly three weeks of daily calls with zero outcome—no delivery, no refund, no plan. Bottom line Do not order devices from the Mint Mobile website. After 25 days, I have no phone, no refund, and no resolution—just daily calls and dead ends. I’m posting this to warn anyone else before they get caught in the same loop. Those flashy “$15/month” deals and constant promos feel like bait—based on my experience, the low price seems to come with zero accountability when something goes wrong. A cheap plan means nothing if they can’t deliver the phone or fix the shipment.
FYI, Warning: Don't be fooled by the "customer support" replies from Mint on these posts. They are a scam. I’ve reached out to them every single day and haven't received any actual assistance.

Terrible customer service. Beyond the ridiculously stupid AI bot that they try to force you to use- its terrible. It took them a month to port a number from Spectrum because they kept putting in incorrect information. Each new rep had a different story when I called and several told straight up lies. Then they refused to activate my number until I answered some SPAM call that I kept missing. When I called them they said they couldnt do it and that I would just have to answer when they called. Are you freaking kidding me? Its been utter hell.

I can see why they have a 3 star rating. Website is misleading and confusing. Thought I was signing up for a promo that was advertised as 15 a month and I thought I was being charged for 3 months. I was charged the next month the 45 and I called to see what was going on. They said I signed up for premium and it was 44 dollars a month and they could not switch me since it was for new customers only. They then ended up switching me to a 20 dollar month plan for 4 months the 25 after that because I asked to cancel my service. I then asked how I can leave a review to warn others that it’s a little misleading when you sign up and make sure you pay attention really well when signing up because it makes it seem like like you’re picking an option to be billed every 3 months when apparently you’re picking a whole new phone plan that’s ironically the price monthly that you thought you were signing up for for every 3 months. And when I asked where to leave a review they made it extremely difficult to figure out the best way to go about that so they sent me some random 3rd party review website

I got a phone and a one year unlimited plan! I keep getting that I have not activated my sim card! Even after dozens of calls to correct it; it finally stopped! Even the unlimited plans are slowed down and buffers a lot!

I hand never had my iPhone freeze or lose signal before I joined MM. I am not getting text mags until late sometimes they never came until the day. I use my phone to log in to work and other day my notifications didn’t alert me until next day. This is not good for me!

Just don’t understand how I run off data since I’m mainly on WiFi
The description on their website of the phone I bought was wrong (no SD card slot.) They wouldn't let me return it because it was past their 7-day return window. I called at 7:00 a.m. ET the morning after I activated the phone and saw the mistake. (One guy even put me on hold and transferred me to Samsung. Good times.) I left a review elsewhere and they claimed they'd reach out. They approved a refund via email BUT it would cancel my service and I'd have to buy a new service package. I bought it at 50% off. It is no longer 50% off. I'd break even. I'm sticking with them for the internet. When I asked if they'd unlock the phone so I could sell it I was told it will unlock automatically "after 60 days in service." But I want to switch to an unlocked phone I bought elsewhere (with an SD card slot) so it won't be in service for 60 days. Then she said my ticket was closed. I'm fairly certain I need to keep using this phone (depreciating it) for two months or I won't be able to unlock it to sell it. I'm thinking of a word.......

Mint Mobile has been great. 180 a year and service everywhere. Highly recommend
the best deals on the market today for amazing quality
Don’t use this company. They are incompetent in every aspect, and every department. They lied, overcharged, and didn’t bundle my accounts like they were supposed to.
My fiancé bought an iPhone and I had heard about a Mint Mobile for $15/month. So I called and we signed up and activated his phone and then they did their sales pitch about adding internet service (Minternet) and getting a good deal on a bundle. So we added internet service to our plan, all within one phone call. Now they setup a new account with both, which was supposed to be linked and bundled. I even had to call back and have the first plan, which was just the phone, cancelled, which I did right away.
Fast forward almost 3 months. I got an email saying my account would automatically be reactivated and my account charged appropriately. So I called and asked how much my account was going to be charged and he told me $120. Well they charged me $150 so I called again today. After a long, drawn out wait on hold most of the time, he informed me that even though they screwed up and didn’t bundle my accounts, charged me more, and lied to me about the amount I was being charged, they couldn’t help me. Or refund the $30 they misquoted me on, and overcharged me with. Oh and my fiancés phone has been off too. So they totally messed that up too. I’m not happy. I should’ve stayed with Verizon, and I will be switching before the 3 months on the internet runs out. And we will get him a new phone carrier right away.
Save your money and your stress level and don’t bother signing up with Mint Mobile.
What bothers me the most is that they target seniors with their senior plan, and these poor seniors are probably getting screwed every which way by this company. Unethical.

Lost my phone and paid $1650 for a new one. Never came with a Sim card but eSim compatible. Without access to my phone number I was fully locked out of my email. Mint customer service reps and several supervisors lied to my face over 3 days, and 9 phone calls that some "magical tech" would reach out and never did. I literally took my phone to a tmobile store to have my number ported out. Absolutely incompetent and unacceptable
Update: someone at Mint can reply to this review on Tuesday but no one could get back to me from 9am to 5pm on Saturday, 10am to 5pm on Sunday or 5:30am to 5pm on Monday? You had no problem hanging up on me 3 seperate times. You had no problem telling me I was a priority and promised to monitor the issue, but now you're ready for action? HILIAROUS

So Mint refused my payment extension request. I did a review on 3/18/26. I received a reply from Mint to call or chat with an agent. Today I spoke with an agent as directed and my 7 day request was denied again. So much for customer service , now I see what Mint is a 3rd Rate service. Once I’m able I won’t be back . I’m sure Mint could care less.

I loved having mint as my carrier. I'm no longer a customer due to various circumstances, but I enjoyed having mint for nearly a decade. Their prices are cheap & straightforward, & its really easy to buy extras like international roaming (which you don't have to buy if you're traveling to Canada btw). One thing that really makes mint stand out is back in 2022 when all the big wireless companies were jacking up prices for no reason, mint called out their BS, & even put words into action by upping my data limit on my plan without changing my price at all! All 2GB plans were automatically changed into 5GB plans without charging their customers anything extra. Way to go Ryan Reynolds!
When it came time for me to change to a different carrier, the mint customer service rep was super helpful in giving me the porting pin & my account # so I could transfer over my phone # to the new carrier. He didn't try to sell me anything or convince me not to leave mint or even ask questions. It was a quick & straightforward process.
