I cancelled my service with four months still left (prepaid) because I was so frustrated with the terrible network and non-existent service. Caller ID didn't work, calls were constantly dropped, the 5... See more

Everything about Mint Mobil is exceptional. The service, the people, the price, the ease of it all. I’ve travelled across the US twice this year and have never had a connectivity issue! For $15/months, you absolutely can’t beat it!!
Can't beat the prices, quality is great and I haven't even needed to contact customer service
Struggle abit with coverage and network stability while in some areas

Because the app randomly messes up we payed our bill but when I’m not connected to the house WiFi it won’t let me call anyone even if we payed our bill.

I purchased an international day pass and activated it two days prior to travel. The first travel day I received a text from mint mobile telling me to activate the day pass. I wasn’t sure why the pass wasn’t working and needed it right away. When the second day pass was activated the first one I purchased- which Mint Mobile said was not activated- immediately expired. Mint Mobile seems to have no answer for this other than to say it must be frustrating. This is not a solution today the least.

Had the plan for 2 years and for the past 2 months I could not make or receive calls from my house. Before I would only be able to make calls from my kitchen now nothing. Also, the line keeps dropping on me in the random places while driving. I called at least 3 times to try and figure what could be done or what was going on and nothing. THen I went to change carriers and it has been 4 days and my line has not been transferred. I just called again and hopefully it works. I am also losing $150 because I paid the year plan upfront which I will be calling customer service and try to get a refund but I was told that I would lose that money. Not fair if the service is not working.

DO NOT BUY AN IPHONE FROM THEM, YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY FULL PRICE AND AFTER IT, YOU WILL BE STUCK WITH THEM FOREVER AND YOU WILL HAVE A LOCKED IPHONE THAT ONLY WORKS WITH MINT, AND NOBODY IS GONNA HELP YOU. SO THINK TWICE BEFORE REGRETING.

The phone works well, but the home internet is terrible : I have to reboot again and again the router in the hope of getting any connexion. Usually I cannot stay connected for more than 90 minutes. I spent hours on the phone troubleshooting but at the end I just don't think they have reliable enough infrastructure. My service was also fully off for a week, and no compensation was ever offered. I will definitely not renew.

Signed for new # and unlimited 3 month plan for Ipad. I’m in the Phoenix metro area and coverage is supposed to be perfect. Immediately can’t stream, dropped calls, when there is a signal it’s minutes to load a page, no service constantly pop up. The foxbot’s worthless, getting a rep is a life-draining experience. Called at day 2, told ‘looks like a tower is being serviced’. Called at 1 month, told ‘a tower is being serviced’. Never had decent signal or connection over entire 3 month period. Lots of emails to renew, then an email to take the survey. Guess what, takes you to the site but there’s no survey to be found. Paid $15/mo and even that’s too much.

Shady advertising not making new customer deals more clear and baiting people into buying phones with a plan who already have an existing account. I reached out to support before this review and they told me that they could not refund the prepaid plan because it was part of a bundle (the receipt was itemized so this is ridiculous) and everything would have to be returned including the phone which had already been activated, so 180$ wasted which will not be forgotten when my renewal period comes around.

The service is good about 50% of the time. Customer service is the worst possible, overseas plans are a total ripoff. Until they have customer customer service that's useful & respectful, I DO NOT RECOMMEND MINT.
Their response below is to contact the same horrific service people I made this review about. Obviously, they have no interest in customer retention or improving customer service.

I wanted to switch to a cheaper provider so I purchased a trial for Mint. I guess it would be fine if you don't want to text, or use the data. I used the chat to try and get it working but after several different phones and 30-45 minutes with support, I was told that it may be the sim card. I requested a replacement and they said they couldn't do that or provide a refund.
How is that for customer service and support. Sell a potential customer a broken device, and then tell them they will not stand behind their product, you just spent money for nothing.

I paid for a year of service upfront less than two months ago, and it has been a total failure. In a major metropolitan area, I'm getting "line busy" messages, connection errors, and constant dropped calls. The service is functionally non-existent, yet they are effectively holding my number hostage by refusing to provide the account number and transfer PIN required to leave.
It was a massive mistake to trust this company. I’m currently forced to rely on a free Google Voice account because it’s actually dependable, unlike the service I paid for. They took the money, provided a broken product, and now they’ve made it impossible to exit. Avoid them at all costs.
re: Mint's reply: Have a great day? Your customer service is the problem...I've spoken with them 3 x.

Despite living in a 5G area, I have experienced consistently slow speeds for internet. I have adapted by using a personal mifi.
