Avoid At All Costs

I recently attempted to open an account with the Buckley branch. I had previously spoken with a representative named Jamie in January, but in February, my emails to him began to bounce back. Upon calling the branch and inquiring about Jamie, I was informed that he no longer worked for the company. When I asked for an explanation, I was not provided with any information and felt uncomfortable with the situation. During my communication with Jamie, he had assured me that he could offer better prices than what I was currently receiving from Huws Gray. However, when I mentioned this to the Buckley branch, they recalculated the prices, and they were different from what Jamie had quoted. Furthermore, I spoke with another contractor on the same site who informed me of the prices they pay for Minster products, which were significantly lower than the prices I had been quoted. This raised concerns about the company's pricing practices, as it appeared that they were charging different customers different prices for the same products.
Given these circumstances, I decided not to proceed with opening an account with the Buckley branch and continued my business with Huws Gray.

Wrong items delivered blocking drive

Ordered through another company who got Minster to supply and deliver the order. Driver delivered damaged wrong goods and just left them dumped blocking the driveway. Refused to assist and looked like he got his forklift licence out of a cereal box. Ordered 14 sheets of square edge plasterboard and they delivered tapered edge. Unable to collect or unblock drive for a week so had to handball all 14 sheets on my own as driver couldn't be bothered.

Awful website spend ages loading all…

Awful website spend ages loading all the items into the basket for delivery. Try to book it in for delivery & it’s charging me for delivery even though it’s supposed to be free for orders over £300 +vat
Call the support team on the number provided after half an hour conversation with them. They realise that they were providing support for the wrong website. Their advice was call the nearest branch and place the order with the brunch instead, even though it was the branch that initially suggested I should place an order through the website. Because that’s simpler as placing an order over the phone with them it would be overly complicated with them not being able to take payment over the phone!

No respect for property and no answer to complaint

Their incompetent driver removed cones separating my property from a building site he was delivering to, so he could drive his truck onto my driveway. He did this because he was driving too fast for the conditions and his load toppled over, meaning he then had to access my property without permission to unpick the situation he created by his own failings. He then left the site but did NOT put back the cone he moved, thus leaving the driveway open for other contractors to enter my property. Not to mention the mud his vehicle left on my otherwise clean driveway. Video of the incident was emailed to the Truro office and they have NOT bothered to make contact with me to apologise or even acknowledge their drivers failings. Very poor show which leaves no choice other than to leave this review and possibly take further civil action for trespass. Two weeks have passed since I made contact with them!

Wouldn't trust this company

I had 2 extra bags of unopened render so took them to the Croydon branch to return on Monday, but I was told they can't be returned because it's a "dust" product.

Very disappointed because I purchased extra as I was under the impression that I could return any extra bags under the 30 day return policy. Nothing about exclusions in their return policy. I wouldn't have bought extra if I had been told beforehand that returns aren't accepted.

I've now made a long trip (1 hour round trip), wasted money on petrol, and wasted £36 on render that I don't need.

Wouldn't trust this company again, they seem quite dodgy.
