Personal Experience with Million Dollar Plumber
I want to share my personal experience with Million Dollar Plumber from when I was hired about a year ago as Sales Director to grow their sales team and revenue.
When I started, their sales were quite low — roughly $25k cash collected in the first month — which surprised me given they’d been in business for several years. The team was very small and inexperienced, consisting of one salesperson who had no formal sales training or prior sales experience, and one appointment setter with a strong accent that made communication challenging. There were no established sales processes, scripts, or training programs in place.
I brought in a new salesperson I trusted, along with a marketing person I knew, and helped build a more structured sales operation with daily trainings and clear systems. Sales improved steadily — from $80k to over $220k in a month at one point — representing a several-fold increase during my time there.
However, I was concerned by some troubling patterns. The marketing professionals I brought in were both let go, and reportedly were not paid their final wages. I personally covered payment for one of them to ensure she was compensated and could pay her rent. Similar issues happened with an ads buyer. I found this concerning, as it suggested a lack of consistency in how the company handled payroll and contractor payments.
After making significant progress in revenue growth and helping develop new product offerings, I was unexpectedly terminated without prior warning or explanation.
Additionally, my commission payment for work already completed has not been paid and, despite repeated attempts, I have not yet received it nor heard back from the company in any way.
From what I observed and experienced, there appear to be serious management and financial challenges within the company. I have also seen feedback from clients expressing dissatisfaction with the coaching program and difficulty obtaining refunds.
My advice to anyone considering working with or for Million Dollar Plumber is to conduct thorough due diligence.
There may be other companies in this space with more established systems, transparency, and consistent treatment of employees and contractors.
This review reflects my personal experience and is intended to provide insight so others can make informed decisions.
