I had chosen click and collect for my order . The store opened at 9am and I arrived at 10.30am . There was items for sale outside the shop but the door was locked . Having waited half a hour a store attend open the door and came outside . I tried to enter the store but was told I couldn't collect my items as the store was closed until after dinner because they had been told the shop was going to close permanently and they are all being made redundant. I told them I couldn't come back in the afternoon so asked if I could cancel my full order and that is what happened. Will never use another millets store again .

Lady was so helpful explained what I was looking for she brought a few down for me to try. I said i was gonna think about it over coffee. Came back she went which one have you decided on I said teal. Brought it straight down and paid brillant lady.

Tom was very polite and helpful. I needed to try on 2 sizes of walking boots. Tim gave me the time to be sure that I was comfortable with the size. He was also good when reassuring me as long as I didn’t go outside I could bring my boots back. Thanks Tom

I came into the shop on Sunday to purchase some walking boots. The two young girls that I spoke to were very polite and helpful and answered all my questions about different shoes.
I would have left 5 stars, however, the older gentleman that was working at the time didn't seem as interested in helping me out so I felt uninvited at first.
Overall a positive experience and got the shoes I needed, thanks girls.

Holly helped me buy suitable walking boots, this was much appreciated as I have wide feet and I high instep so finding shoes is difficult. The girls that were in store today were great!

I had the pleasure of talking with Holly, as she was incredibly helpful in guiding me to the perfect hiking footwear. She was very patient, thoughtful, and explained everything so clearly! I now feel super confident and excited for my upcoming hike. :)

I visited the store today at around 5:20pm and was immediately told by the man at the till that they were closing in five minutes — without any greeting or smile. I found this quite rude, but initially tried to brush it off.

I then went to the shoe section with my children and asked one of them to check what sizes certain boots were available in. He answered her question but made no effort to come over and assist, which I would normally expect in the shoe area. When I asked for help myself, he called a lady from upstairs.

When she came down, she also didn’t smile and immediately said they were closing in ten minutes. It was very clear that they had no interest in serving us. Although she did then ask what we wanted to try on, by that point, both staff members had made it obvious they were eager to close rather than help customers.

In ten minutes, we could easily have tried on the three pairs of boots we wanted, along with a few other clothing items. Instead, I left feeling shocked and unwelcome. They lost several hundred pounds’ worth of potential sales, and I won’t be returning to this store. I did tell her the service was poor but i dont think she really cared.

I needed new walking boots. Tom looked after me. Very friendly, great advice, great service and I left a very happy customer. Thanks, Tom

I was served by Natalie this evening who was very helpful when advising me on which fleece to buy for underneath my jacket. Natalie was very patient and knowledgeable and took the time to explain al of the fleece’s features as well as show me how it works with the rain jacket I already owned.
I could have bought it online but wanted to buy it from your shop due to the help that Natalie gave me so thank you very much.

Macy was really knowledgeable, polite and helpful when helping me pick out shoes, I got some merrell shoes in the end and they are really comfortable. The young girl (I didnt catch her name properly I think it might be molly or holly) was very friendly and approachable too. I don't normally like shopping but I actually enjoyed it this time, thank you.

Visited the store on Sunday in Beverley. I had gone with the intention to find new shoes for dog walking.
Both employees in store Molly & Macy were extremely helpful both in finding the right shoe. Happy to bring me multiple styles to try on, with helpful advice on waterproofness etc.
Very helpful, polite both whilst shopping and at the till.

Absolutely amazing customer service, Macy & her colleague (im sorry i didn’t catch your name) were so professional and patient with us looking at every type of walking boot, highly recommend this store & their customer service, if I had a shop i would want to employ these 2 girls

Dan at the Beverley store was really helpful to myself and my partner when we were both looking to buy new walking boots today.
He was knowledgeable about the boots in stock and their fit.
The shop was well stocked and well organised and all the staff were cheerful and helpful.
