The worst online shopping experience I’ve ever had.
I’d like to share my experience with Mik & Me, as it has been the worst online shopping experience of my life so far. I felt the need to create an account and leave my first-ever Trustpilot review just to help others avoid what I went through.
Although I’m based in London and they’re based in Australia, I really liked their dresses and still wanted to place an order. I assumed I’d be receiving a quality item from a reputable brand. I ordered a dress and, at first, everything seemed great – I received regular email updates and was able to track the parcel. Communication was smooth in the beginning.
Then I started receiving notifications from Evri saying they attempted delivery but I wasn’t home – which wasn’t true. Since this type of issue is unfortunately common, I tried to redirect the delivery to a nearby parcel shop to make things easier.
That’s when everything went wrong.
When I checked the tracking number provided by Mik & Me on Evri’s official website, I was shocked to see that the parcel had been shipped from China via AliExpress. I had paid over £80 for this dress, believing it was coming from Australia. I then found the exact same dress on AliExpress for just £6–7.
Naturally, I started emailing Mik & Me, simply asking for clarification – why was the parcel coming from China, where exactly was it, and why was it showing AliExpress as the sender? I sent 4 emails to them.
Out of frustration, simply asking for a response to my emails, I l left comment on one of their Instagram post. Instead of replying, they deleted my comment and continued to ignore my messages. It was only after I posted again publicly that they finally responded. They claimed the AliExpress tracking information was “wrong” and informed me that the parcel was now at the parcel shop.
I went to the parcel shop three times – the parcel wasn’t there. According to Evri, parcels are sent back to the sender after 10 days if uncollected, and over a month had passed. Despite this, Mik & Me refused to take responsibility. They said it wasn’t their problem and that I’d only receive a refund if the dress was returned to them.
Over two months, I sent six emails. Eventually, instead of help, I received a legal email accusing me of harassment and telling me not to contact them again – all because I was trying to get information about my lost parcel, the AliExpress origin, and a refund.
I was completely ignored, treated with disrespect, and left with no explanation and no refund.
We all want our daughters to look beautiful for special occasions, and I truly wanted to support a small designer brand like Mik & Me. Unfortunately, the experience has only caused unnecessary stress, with little to no customer support. While fast fashion brands may not feel as special, but would have been far easier — at least they offer reliable customer service and take accountability when something goes wrong.
My experience with Mik & Me has been extremely disappointing. They deleted my Instagram comments, ignored my emails, and only allow positive comments to appear publicly — removing any that express frustration or concern. This isn’t real branding; it’s avoiding accountability. Instead of offering customer support, they choose to block and ignore customers. Even worse, they responded to my concerns with threats of legal action instead of providing any real answers. Overall, this has been the worst online shopping experience I’ve ever had.
I would avoid them at all costs.
