Engineer on time, polite and helpful. He did the work as in the error code. Unfortunately, two weeks on, the machine still sometimes leaves washing wet; something 'drain and spin' does not rectify... See more

Quite possibly the worst customer experience ever. Sent hoover back as faulty and under warranty. Only sent back 3 small parts of hoover. Calling and emailing for 2 months to have my hoover returned.CASE 510728900
Multiple requests for a UK representative to call me back ignored.

We bought a Miele fridge freezer because it was advertised as being of superior quality to other brands, and notably on the Miele website "built to last 20 years".
The fridge freezer broke after only 7 years during one of the heat waves we had in the UK summer (the appliance couldn't cope with the heat), and the cost to repair was more than half the cost of the appliance.
When we booked the engineer to inspect the appliance there was no mention on the website that a £180 call out fee would be due. Not in the web page, not in the booking form and not in the booking confirmation communication emails either. We were surprised when Miele told us that a call out fee was due and of course will not be paying this when it was not advertised anywhere during the booking of the service.
We raised the issue with Miele and they insisted that the fee would be due, which is unbelievable logic considering that we explained that we are loyal Miele customers and we are now obviously looking to buy a new fridge freezer.
Clearly Miele don't value loyal customers and from this experience I can only conclude that the products are not worth the extra money when they don't last as long as advertised.
Don't buy Miele if you don't want to waste your money.
Don't buy Miele if you want proper customer support.
Easy to book an appointment for engineer’s visit.
Kept informed about progress of the engineer.
He phoned when he was on the way to me.
It has always been the same gentleman who has dealt with any Miele issues I have had and I have always found him very professional, polite, tidy and respectful of my property.
He always explains what he is doing too. Very happy.

The technicians are friendly, professional and courteous, however Miele's customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
After the last technicians visit I put in a complaint about the customer service department and have not had a response.
I object to Miele claiming their devices last 20 years because in my experience this is far from true.
I will be reluctant to buy Miele in the future.

EDIT
Unsurprisingly Miele’s complaints team have not responded within the time period they said they would.
And although I provided reference numbers, Miele haven’t responded here either.
I’ve paid for local installers to finish the job. Not only did ‘Product Care’ fail to install the non-return valve, they didn’t even connect the dryer to the drain. So they left me with a machine that would have to be manually emptied from a drawer above shoulder height. When the sales team had expressly told me this would not happen.
What an absolute joke Miele UK are.
***
I’m disabled.
I chose Miele products even though they are eye-wateringly expensive because they have reversible doors and would therefore be accessible to me.
I ordered direct from Miele hoping to avoid any problems with installation. As has happened in the past when installers booked via retailers refused to reverse the door of other appliances.
I had 3 initial calls with Miele’s sales teams. They assured me the installation would include the door reversal. They added a non return valve to the order as they said this was essential to protect the appliance.
I paid my carers to measure everything for me. I paid an electrician to move the sockets ready for these particular (stacked washer and dryer) appliances.
The installation team failed to reverse the door or install the valve.
They said they were not trained to reverse the door. They handed me the box with the valve at the end of the installation saying it was cleaning products. When I opened it and said it’s the valve they claimed (unconvincingly) that it wouldn’t fit anyway. They tried to pressure me into signing to say the job was complete and angrily complained when I added caveats to the signature page.
Many many phone calls with Miele since then.
They said I shouldn’t use the appliance without the valve as it’s essential to avoid damaging the appliance. They said they would book a new installation with a different company.
But then the same company was booked.
But I was assured the crew this time would know how to reverse the door and fit the valve.
Then the date was changed by them. So I called the delivery company to make sure an appropriately trained crew would attend. And they revealed that a new machine would be delivered 4 days before the other one was removed. So I had to explain I have no space to store two identical appliances.
Then yet another call with Miele. They finally said that they will reverse the door but will not install the valve. Because their delivery partner won’t do this. And that I have to pay for a “local plumber” to install the valve.
Even though installation of the valve was very clearly part of my contract with Miele from the start. And Miele had assured me on numerous calls that this should have happened and would be rectified.
I was also told that if a Miele engineer comes to reverse the door or install the valve I will have to pay for that!
And that if I cancel my order altogether I will have to deal with the extra admin of cancelling my extended warranties. And would not get a refund until 10-14 business days after they collect everything. I paid £2000!
I asked to speak to the complaints team and was told that I couldn’t. A case has been opened. They will take 1-2 days to respond. More delay with an appliance I can’t use.
It is extraordinary that Miele are apparently so happy to repeatedly mislead customers, including disabled customers. And that Miele are so unapologetic about doing so. And so willing to breach contracts they enter into with customers.
I paid for a service that has not been carried out and that Miele are actively refusing to carry out.
I am disabled and have been left without laundry facilities.
I spent weeks planning this to ensure there were no hiccups and Miele have made it clear they really aren’t fussed that they’ve made so many serious errors and are not planning to perform their contract. Astounding.

Emily, the lady engineer from Miele and a great professional found the machine’s fault and very expertly fixed it. Our Miele works perfectly now. Thanks again Emily.

Miele engineers came to fix my dishwasher and they were very efficient!

Generally happy with the service I received. Second appointment was required because the engineer couldn’t left the dishwasher out by myself.
So had to wait for 3 days for another appointment.
Gave all the information at the time of booking, felt a second engineer should have been included in the booking.

The technician arrived as expected. He told me that what appeared to me to be a fault was “as designed”. It would have been helpful and less trouble if having to press the on/off button numerous (random number of) times had been documented somewhere!
Otherwise, happy with the fact that the machine was given a once-over and the software brought up to date.
