highly used for scams as well as a lot of technical problems on their end. Alsoooo, the rates they charge are just absurd (For someone who uses Euros at least)

Very bad experience.
They not accept recovery phrase that was given at the time of signup account. I have screenshot of recovery phrase but when write it for account recovery, answer is invalid recovery phrase.

It will steal the most valuable thing you have - your time. I look forward to the day when this awful wallet will be consigned to the dustbin of crypto history. There are much better alternatives out there.

To this day I still can't log in to the account with my password and it requires a new registration or a gibberish phrase.Thieves

Greedy exorbitant gas fees make this wallet unusable.

Greedy, selfish, developers stealing money from people should be arrested. Things in the crypto space are changing and they will be held accountable.

Whilst the genuine platform is probably functional, sadly it's being used by scammers who pretend to transfer crypto to a genuine platform i.e. Coinbase, but nothing appears. An email from the scammer will then ask you to download the app with parameters which make the app appear to contain funds. In this case the MetaMask app is a fake dummy non functional app which cannot carry out any functions including cashing out to FIAT. Avoid this like the plague.

Bought some crypto from my card, or so i thought, my Metamask wallet account have been inaccessible since i got charged and no costumer service at all, stay away unless you like to get scammed.

Piece of crap. If you use this wallet expect to lose all your crypto or at least spend most of it on gas fees.

Horrible experience, ungodly slow network, gauging fees, they hold your funds and force you to add more money to transfer or withdraw any money out, requires you to re sign in repeatedly (within minutes) rambling user help section. Ended up having to successfully transfer my funds out $2.50 at atime, tried bridging and/or switching networks but took more than an hour to xfer $48. The browswr extention was bad but the app was even worse

A Pure Scam, they're asking for another Funds to activate my account after the Initial transfer didn't show up, I Lost it.❌❌❌

I lost all my STC tokens that i bought few years ago. not even the transactions are shown anymore. unreliable platform, AVOID at all costs.
I only use Binance now.

Customer service notice: Because your team is suspected of frequent transfers in batches, the system automatically locks your funds and activates the security protection mode. Now any user needs to recharge 500USDT into the wallet to unlock it. From the DeFi Intelligent Mining Team

I fell in a scam. And I talked to metamask about how my wallets were connected without my permits at a phishing site and the support kept saying it is impossible. I understand how a c.s. know everything about technical issue. Of course they don't. But the way how these "smarties" make you look like you are the idiot. Metamask is never safe to use.

Installed this extension as prep for future trading. About 30mins after I shut down my pc I got signs of hacks happening on sessions that were active on my pc only, with no 2FA on sites I don't visit much. A trojan was detected in a temp folder of chrome when I got home & took a full scan. Took me 3 days to clear up all the hacks on those accounts but luckily wasn't affected financially

TWO of MetaMask's mistakes lost me my wallet.

I know crypto is a risk and I risked my own money, but I didn't think it would just disappear into thin air due to TWO errors on MetaMask’s behalf.

So, the first issue I had was my wallet being frozen and getting an error when I tried to do anything. I’m still logged in, it asks for my password, says welcome back, but nothing works.

I spoke to the support team, they told me the only way to fix this error was to delete and reinstall the app. The only problem was I didn’t write down my secret recovery phrase…

No problem right? I’m still logged in so I can just go into the settings and reveal it right? WRONG!

Error number two, “can’t unlock your account, try again”. Balls, I’ll try the seed phrase… Same again.

And I know I put the password in right because

a) I used the same password to log into the account

b) I put the password in wrong on purpose and it said “incorrect password”

c) It gives me a tick, asks me to hold a button to reveal the phrase and then has the error

Yes, I know its partly my fault for not writing down the SRP as soon as I downloaded the app, but like many people just starting, I didn’t think I’d be throwing so much money into an unreliable app.

I have now spoke to several members of the support team, one was helpful(ish) and the others assumed I was the problem, saying things like “you put the password in wrong”, “you need to reinstall the app”, “its the wrong phrase”(whatever that means).

Eventually my issue got escalated to the technical team, good news right? wrong again.

I then explain again that the SECOND issue meant I cant reinstall the app because I’ll lose everything.

I explain AGAIN that I’m still logged in, there must be something they can do

“you are told to back up your phrase when you download the app”

…

Clearly not even reading my email and now, after explaining again and asking for updates, I’m being completely ignored.

As you can imagine seeing your hard work disappear is very disappointing.

And from reading other people’s reviews, they have had great interactions with the support team so maybe I just got unlucky with who I spoke to? The person I am emailing is called Max Hernandez.

All I am hoping is that this review will get me in touch with someone actually willing to try and help me rather than spewing standard protocol information and copy and pasting.

This is what I do have:

- says my phrase is backed up
- I am logged in still
- It knows my passwords are correct and associated with my account
- I can track my wallet and see it still exists

Can anyone help me? it would mean a lot.

DEAD APP!!! (Real rating is 0)
It will ruin your crypto experience Once you put money in, it is very hard to get it out. Stick to trusted exchanges; it will chew up your profits in transaction fees when you eventually get your money out, Uses ETH as gas(the most expensive probably to fund the dead app) for every transaction basically. DO NOT USE!!!

Wont release coins. Wont allow swap, nor let 3rd party to swap my coin. They want to just keep it...
Its f@$king stealing.

But this is still happening, it's a shame, when the law enforcement authorities finally think to do something about this Metamask, they keep stealing and lying with the same answers they've been writing for a couple of years. People don't log into this wallet, even if you it's about your life, because your money, effort and time will be wasted like many of us. You can write to them, pray to them or whatever, some even committed suicide, they won't listen to you, because they don't care about you, they just care to your hard earned money. Truth and justice come when you least expect it, I wouldn't want to be in their shoes when they come!

If there were 0 stars I would have picked that.

MetaMask is for software engineers to use, if your not a software engineer with lots of crypto knowledge you will lose all your money or tokens. never use this. perhaps in the next 15 - 20 years MetaMask software engineers will understand product development & product testing, then release something that actually works for the general public.

My money just got lost

I just lost my money, and I have seen other comments for Meta Mask, and a lot of people have lost money like me.

They are 2 possibilities..

1. Meta is getting money from their clients and saying they have been scammed.

2. Their security system sucks and is easy for scammers to take money
