All of you crying its a scam, should not be in crypto, you just jumped into this with high ego thinking you understand how it works.

metamask is a tool if you misuse it how is it metamasks fault? its an excellent app for people that know how to use it.

My Review of MetaMask Support: Negligence and Shifting Responsibility

I want to express my extreme disappointment with MetaMask's support team. My 500 USDC was stolen due to a vulnerability in your system—a token approval I signed 40 days ago. Yet:

I never authorized this specific transfer.

The transaction didn’t even appear in my history (which is odd for a "transparent" blockchain).

Support refused to acknowledge the issue, simply stating, "This isn’t a bank" and "It’s all on you."

Unclear Approvals Without Warnings

Why was a single approval from 40 days ago enough for a scammer to steal my USDC at any time?

On exchanges (like Binance), every withdrawal requires two-factor authentication. Why don’t you have even basic security measures?

Support’s Inaction

Instead of helping, they repeated 10 times that "transactions are irreversible."

No one said: "Yes, this is a problem, and we’re working on a fix." Instead, it was just: "It’s your fault for trusting scammers."

Profiting from Fees While Ignoring Security

MetaMask earns fees from transactions but doesn’t invest in user protection.

Why is there no automatic screening for suspicious approvals? Why can’t you add per-transaction confirmations?

What MetaMask Needs to Do
Fix the Approval System

Make approvals time-limited (e.g., valid for only 24 hours).

Require confirmation for every transfer, even if an approval exists.

Improve Customer Support

Don’t just say "Report it to the police"—actually help track scammers.

Create a compensation fund for hack victims (if you take fees, you should take responsibility for risks).

Be Honest with Users

If MetaMask doesn’t guarantee security, this should be stated in bold letters during setup.

Final Thoughts
I lost $500 because of a flaw in MetaMask’s security, and support just shrugged and told me to "be more careful." If you don’t want to be the next victim, think twice before storing money here.

MetaMask, it’s time to take responsibility for your platform.

I was a victim of phishing, thieves, scammers and crooks stole €200 from me, plus a lot of my personal information!

I Installed the metamask wallet with the adresse:

The Interface is not natural at all and full of bugs. Thats why I prefer the okx wallet.

Brother, they cheated me too, they cheated me of 2000 dollars. They cheated me too. First they told me to do the start job, you will make 100 dollars yourself. When I finished the job, they said, "Buy this job, you have to complete this challenge, then you have to clear yours, then after that, next, I cleared that too, and then they said, now you have to clear the job of five or six hundred, then you did that, and later another one came, it was 250 dollars of Australia, they said, clear this, then you will get your money, this is how they cheated me. They are big scammer.

I lost £3000 when I was making a transfer to my linked account and it disappeared. I was scammed the transfer was completed and it did not go to my account. The hashtag was different and the amount has not returned to my MetaMask account even if your system realised something was wrong. This is a platform for scammers. Do not use.

I believe you are processing money for scammers and thieves at Marriottconnect.com (Company name). Are you doing your due diligence well? I am inclined to believe you are thieves and scammers as well.

Have been going round in circles for weeks trying to get their visa card.No help from "customer service",then there never is from these companies.Complete joke of a set up,will be withdrawing and deleting this crappy app.

Garbage wallet with no customer service. Super difficult to swap and send. Go out of business please, as fast as you can.

I try to deposite small amount to metamask,but i cant cos its using eth,but i figure its able to deposite using usdt,then id try and its goes well arrived,but the problem is,i using metamask to bridge my crypto to deposite to such site named jaguarmining(which was also scam as metamask),it was bad idea,metamask only gives withdrawal for only eth,which was sick the amount of withdrawal eth is way big,id try using my usdt deposite to convert to eth,and again using "gas" thats also cost eth,which was more ruin me,and the glad is id found also the same case to me here alot getting SCAMMED just as me,same experienced.now is id already recover my lost to another legit platform,the advise for newcomer to metamask is STAY AWAY TO METAMASK,no wonder they name so the use word of MASK,and the FOX icon for doing cunning to newcomer,they re try deceive u

In general, this could be an amazing wallet, but it's unbelievably buggy—constant loading issues, and the overall functionality and logic just aren’t great. They’d need to rebuild it from scratch to get it right.

Be very careful with a site posing as Metamask. This one is m.metamaskcryptos.com. They get you to deposit then say they're running a lottery, you win and then they take your money to pay the US Taxes and then say you have to pay more to get your winnings. You can't pay? You lose everything under the pretense that this is the legal way of doing things.

Been using this wallet for over 2 years. It's always been slow and glitchy, but the browser extension version 12.13.1 will not even open. That's handy cos all my crypto is in this wallet and i get daily reward boosts hich i'm about to lose 420 days worth. Each update it gets worse and worse. I believe they got bought out by Microsoft, worst tech company in history, nothing ever works and the updates ruin perfectly fuctioning software. Avoid this wallet, its a pain!

I lost so much money on this unsafe platform. Too many loop holes to get tricked into loosing funds and not enough security.

Update In February 28th and I still have not got any results out of metamask. It says that you can deposit enough ethereum to make the transfer but that's a lie too cuz all you can do is deposit way more than what you need for gas and you have to leave it on the platform or deposit more so you can transfer what you have left which makes it so you have to leave money on their platform. The only reply I get by email is that I have to deposit more ethereum when it states on the advertisement that you can swap what you have in the app for something else and you can't until you deposit more I have found out that they are operating without a sec license to trade securities.. I'm going to try to do something legal about it so you can contact me if you want to put your name in people they have done wrong

I was finally able to make everything work on this app.
And I mean everything.
So, my litany below is from the perspective of a first time user and I think it is valuable for that.
I upgraded to 3 stars, from the previous 1 I had given.
I understand the idea here is to give individuals more direct control of their transactions. That is not for everyone, because not everyone can or wants to deal with the technical parts of moving money or value.
So. Metamask does what it does just fine.
It's for you to decide if what it does works for you.

I had to download a wallet that supported BNB, binance smart chain. Argh already.
I recalled from my early years in crypto that metamask was well regarded in that niche industry, so I downloaded it. I sent my usdt on the BNB network to metamask and, hooray, it arrived.
But guess what? I cannot, within the metamask app, find any way to take that $50 bucks worth of usdt on BNB and make into anything useable in the real world.
All this talk about defi and changing the monetary system is so much run around. Nothing about crypto is simple or available to your average everyday person at all!
I'm so sick and tired of the stupid jive I see everywhere about crypto being an equalizer amongst the people. It's nothing like that! It's just for the darned techie know hows to take their slice of the pie and leave the rest of us in the dust. I can't get metamask to send my money to my other wallet, and I can't get metamask to let me sell my crypto from there. Meta mask is a big loud lying jerk of a crypto app and misleads people and makes them feel dumb for not knowing how to work with their totally cryptographic bunch of junk.
How is someone who isn't already formally trained in the crypto industry supposed to navigate this labrythine backwater of financial chaos?

Metamask is like any other wallet out there. It works perfectly fine if you actually know what you are doing. Too many noobies are trying to crypto and take shortcuts. They don't learn how to do defi. They don't keep their stuff updated. Thus, here they are bombarding MM with negative reviews and every one I see it's the same story. The person either doesn't understand how to do defi or they made a user error. Many of which I experienced and learned from. I didn't rush to the web to leave a scathing review then say I'm switching to something else. You guys have got to start learning how to defi and how to avoid scams if you want to make money here. Stop taking shortcuts and begin learning. Or stick to centralized exchanges.
