The Sheriff’s department in Mesa County Colorado is by far the worst law enforcement agency I’ve ever encountered in my life. I lost count of how many times I called them for help and they did not follow the law in documentation requirements for my calls so I can’t even go back and check even though I went to their office and did an open records request which is my legal right. So I will elect to say that the date of the occurrence is today even though it all started about one year ago now an involves so many crimes I doubt I can cover them in 4000 words. Disgusting.

I desperately tried to report various crimes against my body and mental abuse that lead to me harming myself to be told by three of their officers in three different ways that none of it happened to me because I’m different than most people. This is simply not true, the CRS does not say that I’m excluded in any way because I choose to live my life a little differently than they do. When you read the CRS for domestic abuse it actually clearly says that I’m included.

I had the proof in my phone of exactly what happened to lead to my self harm and the officer denied me to even show it to him. The next one told me that saying no verbally and in writing makes it a civil matter and I have to go to civil court. Wrong. In all honesty the third one was so ridiculous I can’t even fathom how to write it but it was in contrast to the law.

I also had gross neighbors that my slum lords wouldn’t do anything about. They violated their lease so much it was causing cockroaches to invade my home, their kids would run, scream and bang on the walls from 9pm-2am almost every night in addition to many other things. When I gave up on the slum lords I started calling non emergency for the noice violation in hopes of getting sleep. No reasonable change. One of the male residents decided to urinate outside and my then 10 year old child saw his privates and I was furious as this can lead to a registered sex offender charge. I reported it. The department did talk to the wife that said there is no way this happened and I was nice until I heard them speaking Spanish. They never made contact with either of the men and closed the case denying me and my minor child justice. Funniest part I’m not racist against my own people at all. I’m a proud Hispanic/Mexican/French woman that can recite the pledge of allegiance in English and Spanish. I don’t like you because you won’t abide by your lease or keep your children quiet and I can understand every hateful word the man screams at you and your children. I should have called CPS to remove those poor children as they were neglected and verbally abused.

However my skin is white as Hispanic people are fair skinned and have blue eyes and our Spanish is a bit different than Latin American Spanish. Denial of justice because I’m assumed to be a racist by my own because she knows less about our heritage than I do. She likely checks the Hispanic box that America puts on forms that I find stupid because the majority of proud Spanish speaking people in America aren’t from Spain, they are from various parts of Latin America. Ok though. Close the case because she’s protecting her abusive Latino husband or the other man that lives there.

I also called to try and get them to come to my home when a man I was trying to help that claimed he was in a very difficult situation by letting him stay in my extra room for $50 per week so he could save money and get in a better situation in life. Things started to feel odd and I told him it was time to go. He tried to stiff me on the small amount of money he owed me and then I searched my house and found very expensive jewelry was missing. He was the only person with a key and access to the home. Would they even show up? Nope! This is a civil matter. Nope! It’s possible high dollar theft $4k in diamonds and what I really want is to know his real identity at this point, just show up. No, we will not!

I’m actually starting to think this may may be my stalker now that I’ve been forced to learn so much about cyber crime for the last year as I’ve learned hey can put a device next to a device to hack it. He had a very high tech laptop and a very expensive drone I saw with my own eyes and claimed he worked for a marketing company so it made sense at the time and felt safe. Now I wonder if this was a lie and he put that laptop next to my devices when I was sleeping and he is the one in my devices destroying my life and sanity while countless badges keep telling me nothing is happening to me.

So thanks for doing NOTHING and not even doing the required documentation in your systems as the slum lords won’t even give me back my $4k deposit and I moved out January 1, 2023! I’m broke and $30k in debt because of all of this and really need that money but they won’t give it back! The apartment was cleaner than they gave it to me except for the cockroaches the neighbors caused! Lame!
