I have bought this rock salt lamp for my daughter for Christmas so I have only tested it briefly and can't comment on the quality of components and how long it lasts (I haven't tested the remote either as don't want to remove the battery tab yet). Based on my trial I really like the changing colours as they bring out different textures in the surface of the lamp and I know my daughter will appreciate the smooth transition.
