We have had our Vauxhall Movano conversion from Maxi Mover around 30 months and recently had to take the van in for its first MOT.
We were disappointed to learn from the MOT centre, under their obligation to VOSA guidelines, that the work undertaken during the conversion process was not completed in a satisfactory way.

The outer sill is removed during the modification process and there were jagged pieces from poor cuts left behind which have started to rust and have contaminated the remaining sill. There were also over cuts into the remaining sill that were not sealed.
Left untreated this would cause structural problems in the future.

Whilst they offer a back to base warranty they are unwilling to reimburse costs of return which means it is cheaper for us to correct the quality issues than to take it back. We would be quite happy to return the van at our cost for a non fault warranty issue as parts can go faulty but quality control issues that could impact the vehicle in future is not acceptable.

I would advise all current customers to check the unseen parts of the modification and for new customers to look elsewhere for their lo-loaders.
