Ramona guided us through our ‘Train the Trainer’ course with such ease and professionalism. It was a very positive experience, giving us lots of help and encouragement so that we could then be signed off as Master Baristas.

Had training with Angela at the new Chesham store she was helpful and was happy answering all my questions, she never made me feel silly for not knowing anything. She is a lovely lady and we were lucky to get her to train us.

A lovely online training experience. Colin was upbeat, informative and engaging. It is clear he has a lot of knowledge of barista skills, many years of experience developing people and took time to design the program to be informative and helpful for our careers.

The trainig was fun and informative, we get the technical information and chance to practice. We learned the details of maing espresso, latte, and cappuccino. Colin was kind and patient in all circumstances. I just wish it was an longer for an hour or so, so we would have more time to practice and learning the cleaning process.

I recently attended a Barista Training with Matthew Algie and it was honestly brilliant.

Colin was the trainer and he was excellent, really knowledgeable, approachable and made everything easy to understand without it feeling heavy or over-technical. The session was super interactive and hands on, not just standing around listening to someone talk at you, which made a huge difference.

The group was great too, relaxed, friendly and supportive. I came away feeling more confident, with practical skills I can actually use and a much better understanding of what I’m doing (and why). Not forgetting.. excellent coffee along the way.

Would 100% recommend to anyone looking to build their barista skills or refresh their knowledge.

Spent a morning at Matthew Algie coffee school learning all about latte art from Colin. What an incredible trainer, so much knowledge and passion and, above all, patience! Colin really knows his stuff and my colleague and I came away with a good base level knowledge to keep working on our skills.

Avoid purchasing a coffee machine from this company; it's a mistake I unfortunately made. They misled me regarding the required sales of 10 cups daily under a profit-sharing agreement. Once the contract was signed, unexpected minimum charges appeared. Their invoices are unclear, only detailing cup sales without transparency on profit shares. It's a disappointing experience. This experience was absolutely amazing from start to finish. From the attention to detail to the quality of time spent with Collin, it was truly worth every moment.

Collin’s depth of knowledge and his passion for the art of coffee really stood out. He explained everything clearly, was more than happy to repeat steps whenever asked, and shared his own personal opinions and advice throughout the workshop. His enthusiasm made the learning experience even more enjoyable and engaging.

He struck the perfect balance between being professional and incredibly approachable, creating a friendly and welcoming environment that made it feel like you’d known him for years.

I honestly couldn’t recommend this workshop at the Matthew Algie Coffee School enough. If you’re considering it, it’s 100% worth your time and effort.

Colin the trainer at Matthew Algie was kind, interesting and knowledgeable. We got through so much and didn't stop the whole time we were there. I felt that if I had a machine and a grinder, I was equipped with the knowledge to go home and run that thing. The class was a lot of fun!

I have been scammed by these scoundrels, They will never tell you about 10 cups a day on a profit sharing contract, once you signed the contract they will start charging you minimum floor charge. No proper invoice they always send you just coffee cups sales nothing will be mention how much profit share is on the invoice very bad company never buy coffee machine from this company

Claire was very helpful at explaining how the coffee machines work. Showing me different types of coffee art and helping us to maintain the up keep of our machines to help prevent any issues

Tom was very helpful and a great teacher, gave very helpful feedback to help everyone push themselves the further step.

Thomas was very helpful and talked through everything thoroughly, he shored us and was patient and seemed enthusiastic and positive.
