I've used Masterpiece by numbers for many years and have enjoyed every painting I have done. I notice that some are complaining about the delivery times. I have no complaints. I ordered on the 24th April, dispatched on 28th April and delivered in the UK on 8th May. Can't ask for a better service.

I have been a long time customer with custom paintings. I see other reviews have had similar experienced with extremely long shipping delays and when you inquire/complain to the company -- they simply cancel your order. Unbelievable customer service. I waited 12 weeks and then they cancelled my order.

After falling ill during Covid I had to look for something to pass the time, found masterpiece by numbers and it has been a revelation. Absolutely love doing the paintings and have now moved on to doing the custom paintings which I think are incredible. Thoroughly recommend to all. Just completed my 12th painting.

i have no idea how to rate i ordered jan 20th and this is april 2 and i have still not recieved my order or tracking number everytime i contact they said 6 to 8 weeks now that it 10 plus weeks they said the told me they were behind from being off christmas but they just said it states on page when order 6-8 weeks for photo orders

I had a terrible experience with Masterpiece by Numbers and highly recommend that you proceed with caution before placing an order.
I placed a custom order on January 28, 2026 for a bridal shower. Around February 15th, I reached out to request tracking information so I could stay on top of the timeline. I received a response stating that custom orders take approximately 6–8 weeks to complete and once it was complete, I’d receive tracking details. That was fine as I understand these things take time.
The next time I contacted them was during the week of March 16. I asked whether my January 28 order would arrive before April 19. Their response pointed me to a banner on their website explaining the 6–8 week timeframe, claimed they had been out for two weeks, and stated my order was only at about 5.5 weeks (which doesn’t add up - do the math). I then directly asked them to confirm whether the order would be delivered before April 19, given that the timeline should have placed it closer to 6–7 weeks by then. Instead of answering my question, they responded by saying the banner had been on every page of their site from October through January (it was not) and informed me that they had canceled my order. To be clear, I never requested a cancellation at all in my email. When I asked why they chose to cancel it, they claimed they suspected a potential chargeback and canceled it to “mitigate” that risk. With plenty of time remaining and a simple request for clarification, they chose to cancel my order rather than communicate honestly or try to work with me. A simple response like, “We’re backed up and may not meet your deadline,” or even asking if part of the order was time sensitive would have gone a long way.

I am extremely disappointed in their business practices. Based on this experience, I would not consider them reliable or dependable when it comes to fulfilling orders. I was initially excited to support this company after seeing some positive reviews and learning it was woman owned but after this experience, I will not be ordering again. I don’t typically leave negative reviews because I understand that issues can arise, but this situation absolutely warrants it. I will be making sure others are aware before choosing to order from this company.

I’ve tried a few of their products, and while I think the concept is great, there are a few things to consider. The quality of the paintings is decent, but some of the color matches were off. The shipping took longer than expected, and I did not receive any updates.

I’m now on my 46th painting so I think you can tell that I think they are excellent. The quality is second to none and 100% better than any others I’ve tried. Most of mine are framed and all over the house, some put in the loft so I can change them around and with some given as presents. Delivery tends to be less than a couple of weeks so I don’t have to wait too long. Most therapeutic hobby!

Excellent paintings and quick delivery

I ordered a custom canvas, by photo, on November 23rd 2025. The time estimate was 6-8 weeks. I have recieved a delivery notification for Febrary 10th, 2026. That's 10 weeks, 4 days if it arrives per ETA.

I called in January and was told the company was closed for 1 week during the holidays ( during what would seem to be prime season ), and they are experiencing a backlog. That my order will be processed in order of receipt.

I certainly hope it was worth the very excessive wait.

10 weeks in total for delivery, finally received and the picture I sent has blue backgrounds, pants received all browns pinks and greys

These paintings do not come cheap so when arrives you expect it to be to a high standard

A customers photo is turned into a computer designed print. The computer doesn’t know a human face should not be purple. No one reviews the final print for correct color. They do not offer any return or refund. They just blame your photo quality.

My guess is that their good reviews are customers that buy the standard painting offerings, not the custom photo print.

I have purchased and completed seven paint canvases from Master Paint By Numbers. The canvas and the paints are high quality and I have never had a problem with their shipments or payments. This is the only U.S., based in Florida, Paint By Numbers company. The others you see on the internet are all based in China and I would not trust them. I do trust this Florida company.

Did not send me the extra paint I order for my 2nd and 3rd custom kit. They blocked my number and have not responded to emails. Previously had complained about paint quality and were so rude. Do not use.

Update. They had blocked my number, so I borrowed a phone and they did refund for the non-included extra paint sets. No email response and they said they were included, but they were not.

Very pleased with quality of the paints and canvas, painting is still in progress but I'm very happy with how it's progressing! 🙂

Terrible customer service experience. Emailed multiple times with never a reply and after 7 weeks waiting they decided on their own to cancel my order.

The numbers and lines were so difficult to read even when using a magnifying light! Refund request denied. Super disappointed especially considering the price!

I was lost for a new hobby after retirement and those long horrible January days,always liked painting so I sent for a kit it was first class in detail although you will never achieve the originals I follow the numbers then fine tune it to the original (as best I can!) but anybody who is looking for a relaxing and rewarding project that you can become engrossed in or go back and forth whenever you feel the mood this is the company that does the best (tried a few others no comparison) it’s good if you have an end outlet for your work that motivates you and gives you a great deal of satisfaction most of mine go to grandchildren friends and family who dont believe I’ve done them! the details are that good good luck all you won’t regret it.

This my first time doing a painting from masterpiece and I’m really pleased . The quality of the canvas is really good . Also the company keep in touch while your painting is on order . It comes in a really good protection tube . I’m painting The Christmas Porch and so far so good

I started painting by numbers during Covid lockdown and still find it a therapeutic and satisfying hobby. I've used other companies but these days come back to Masterpiece By Numbers because they are reliable and I've never been disappointed with the kit or the finished painting. Occasionally the colours are more vibrant than the website or the little picture that comes with the kit, and very occasionally I've had an odd dried up paint pot but they've always become useable with a few drops of water and some time spent stirring.
