I do not normally write reviews but felt I had to.
I do not normally write reviews, but having read the recent reviews for Martin & Co in Tonbridge, I felt empowered to do so. Martin & Co are a hard working, professional and friendly company to deal with. I have a number of properties in Tonbridge, that are looked after by this agent and at no times have I found them, anything but courteous, helpful and straight forward. I can only assume the tenant, who has made these comments, is someone who doesn't understand how to look after a property they rent and is then disgruntled, when they have to pay for damage or uncleanliness, when they leave their tenancy. I could not recommend Martin & Co highly enough.

Tenants be careful with this branch!
Tenants, be very careful with Robert and his team when leaving the property you are renting. They will try to rip you off with abusive dilapidation deductions and keep as much money as possible from your deposit.
Take pictures and videos from the property before you leave. Keep any receipts if you hire equipment or someone to clean it; and most important, keep your check-in paperwork to compare it with the check-out.
When I told them I didn't agree with the charges, their reply was to make a counteroffer. Like if I was buying something from a bazar!
I did a claim with DPS and thanks to all my evidence I got back over £250.
Never encountered such an unprofessional agency. Every time I had an issue during my tenancy, the person I tried to contact was either on holiday or no longer working there. So glad I don't have to deal with them anymore.
