Absolutely Impeccable Service!

From viewing to moving in Sue, Sarah, Nicky and the team at Martin & Co Poole were second to none! Always keeping us updated at every stage, acting swiftly and with care on anything that required action on their side and ensuring that everything was taken care of in good time prior to moving in. Couldn't not recommend them enough!

Professional and Friendly Service

As a landlord, finding a reliable and knowledgeable estate agent is crucial, and Martin & Co-In Pool have truly exceeded my expectations. From the very start, their team has been nothing short of professional, friendly, and incredibly thorough in every aspect of their service.

Their expertise in the property market is evident—they provided clear, honest advice at every step, making sure I understood all my options and felt confident in my decisions. What really stands out is their attention to detail; they go above and beyond to ensure that all checks are thoroughly carried out, giving me peace of mind as a landlord
Highly recommend them

I rented from Martin and Co for 2…

I rented from Martin and Co for 2 years. In those 2 years, repairs were left unattended, black mould continued to grow in the main bedroom where my new born son also slept. This led to my son being admitted to hospital on a number of occasions. When told about these problems, we were told things would be done….Things were not done. The house was unsafe, so unsafe that we eventually had to leave early, losing even more money. It takes a lot for me to complain but I have never felt so let down and unheard in my life.

Dear Jordan
We are sorry that your child had health issues at the property but we do have to address your comments made. In the time that you lived there, over £10,500 was spent on works, mainly issues that were water related (including hidden leaks in both the kitchen and the bathroom) and potentially a contributory factor to the mould reported. A report by a specialist damp company was carried out within 3 weeks of the mould being reported which unfortunately took that long as it was over the Xmas break. This led to other works being carried out including the clearing of airbricks, new extractor fans and the supply of a dehumidifier. Following the reporting of mould in Dec 23, you were offered a renewal of the tenancy in late March 24 and you replied in an e mail to my colleague Tim that you would love to sign for another year and specifically asked us to contact the owners to tell them it was lovely to meet them. In an e mail from you, you acknowledge the large scope of work carried out at the property but do not seem to realise that the vast majority was to alleviate the mould (the upstairs bedrooms were not affected). You also claim that this issue forced you to leave the property early whereas the fact was you were served notice by the landlords as they were always planning to move back in. The most recent property inspection showed that mould was no longer an issue. After you vacated, we visited the property as you again mentioned mould in your ground floor bedroom. This was solely in an area the size and shape of where your bed was against the wall. It was tested with a professional quality damp meter and the readings were normal and the mould was due to a lack of ventilation in that area.
