A well deserved 5 star rating for…

A well deserved 5 star rating for Martin and co Banbury!

Came in to the office looking for a potential property of my liking and came across David and his team. Not only made me feel welcome but also helped me find exactly what I was looking for.

I would recommend this agency to anyone who is looking for a property because they go above and beyond for their client.

5 stars!

Not recommended at all

If possible i would give minus five stars!!!

Martin&co letting unit in Banbury cost me great stress.
Lack of any professionalism.
Not answer emails and reports.
Sending the bad contracts even after let them know it's wrong one.
Then took six months to get it right, after which you must sign six months back.
Pathetic!!!

Have no respect for one's privacy at all.
BEWARE of unannounced visits and catch you IN THE SHOWER!!!

When you cross the company threshold:
No way for a private face-to-face conversation,
just big chaos with no chance to be heard.
Rude behavior and lack of any compromise.
The tenant is always wrong.
You are just number and a loser at the entrance.
That's how I was feel every time at them office.

However they are very professional in reaching out for funds and lying about tenants to the landlords
Like: it's mess, badly smell, have zoo indoors, vermin and a lots more.
Shortly say's, you're not looking after the house.

Shame on you.
Pathetic again!!!

Good advice to all
Recommended escape when you see this unit in Banbury.

Totally horrible experience.

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful! Left my property with carbon monoxide leaking for weeks during the coldest temperature in winter, had not contacted the actual landlord to let him know. Took weeks to release deposit after I had left the property. Rent rises the landlord wasn't aware of, along with a fair few other lies. Do not rent with them, unless you want to get treated badly and spoken to like dirt on the bottom of a shoe.

Nothing good about Martin and Co Banbury

Awful and unethical business practice. Rang on a Tuesday to book a viewing for the Friday, told them we had a dog and told shouldn’t be a problem, would let us know if it is. Went to the viewing on the Friday, rang after to put down a holding deposit, told that the dog would be a problem. Went back to Rightmove to check for any other properties that have been added to find the rent had also been put up by £100, which was 10.5%, THAT MORNING - agent neglected to mention that at the viewing, or at any other point! At the viewing itself the agent was more interested in making small talk with the outgoing tenant than us, and moreover we weren’t advised that there would be anybody home when we went to view, which should have been mentioned as a courtesy at the very least. The most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had.

My experience on this branch was…

This branch has been surprisingly positive towards me and my two children
The staff must’ve changed as I’ve not had any staff being rude or unpleasant.
I’ve been with Martin and co for a year and will carry on being with them until I have an issue with them.
Don’t think this branch gets enough recognition, from what I read the reviews are from the same person. It’s obviously a hit or miss with this one.

The worst Estate agent in Banbury

The worst Estate agent in Banbury, a thoroughly unpleasant service from start to finish.

Overpriced like all Estate Agents but Martin and Co Banburys speciality was copied and pasted paperwork that was untidy and unkempt. You get the impression the office staff do nothing a day for the gratuitous fees charged.

The office is a tacky mess. The staff are just as rude if you walk in off the street as if you make an appointment.

We heard nothing from them after we'd paid our fees and deposit. Even then, we lost holiday from work as the property was not ready for the arranged date. There was no apology and an unwillingness to be flexible at the end of the tenancy. Disgraceful behaviour.

We were offered a long term tenancy but this was a lie. The tenancy only lasted one year for no reason whatsoever. No complaints were made to us and the only notice we received the tenancy was to end was a letter in the post. It has now become obvious that this was a short term let all along and we were lied to by an unscrupulous landlord and agent.

The service is the poorest I have ever received. The member of staff who was the most unpleasant was *Removed by Martin and Co*. After a year of dreadful service in a flat we maintained ourselves, she was unapologetic and rude. I will be circulating this review on nunerous platforms for future potential employers to see.

We received no reasons for the ending of the tenancy and no assistance in finding elsewhere. They also refused to honour the 2 days we were late moving in by due to their own incompetence.

Martin and Co already has a poor reputation in Banbury and we will be making a further complaint to head office for the two month wait receiving our deposit after moving out. Avoid at all costs.

Listen to the warnings about Martin and Co

I was warned about Martin and Cos Banbury branch and I didn't listen. Biggest mistake Ive ever made.

I was assured a long term let but have had a letter (not even a phonecall) telling me 9 months in theyre ending the tenancy with no reason provided.

As a result of this massive inconvenience Martin and Co have pocketed all the fees from registering (I have only just paid off the loan I took out for these) and I now have to find somewhere else to live.

To make it worse, the day after I received the letter, i used an internet search engine to find potential new properties and mine was the first to pop up with the rent having an extra £50 on top.

I work full time and this unnecassary stress has made me quite ill. Banburys office is known to be particularly poor but I didnt think they made working people homeless on a whim.

I really can't emphasize how much to avoid this company. Their staff are rude and I was threatened with losing my deposit when i said I wanted to be at the property to warn potential tenants about how Ive been treated personally.
