Despite having read negative reviews I ordered several unique garden items from Manufactum that I couldn’t source in the UK. It took a couple of weeks for everything to arrive (partly delayed by poor packaging and the general impact of the ongoing pandemic) but the galvanised steel planters and wall hanging pots are perfect - well designed and reasonably priced. I would shop with Manufactum again (allowing plenty of time for delivery and ensuring a secure payment method).

Thank goodness I payed with PayPal! They are such a mess !!!!. I don’t think that I would get my money back otherwise.

9 July 2020: my review was not positive. 14 July 2020: my review is entirely different...positive plus. I had a phone call the other day (such a nice phone call, too) from Manufactum's Naomi, in Germany. Among other things, we covered e-mail auto-acknowledgements (should have come, but didn't, which is why I was less than impressed), the problems that I'm having with CollectPlus (which compounded my crabbiness), and so on. In a nutshell...Naomi's customer service was so good; not just 'good', but friendly, understanding, knowledgeable and professional. If I could give six stars I would do so! Just pretend that the five stars are gold stars...

Well Manufactum and I have had our ups and downs but this last order was brilliantly executed - a relatively large and complex order complete and undamaged less than four working days from Germany; outstanding! Now all you have to do is maintain that with be bit more TLC for your loyal customers and you've got a business model to envy.

I ordered three products. One was delivered relatively on time. The other three are now 40 days late and there is no response to my emails and the telephone number cuts off before a message can be left. Tried calling 4 times over a day. The quality of the first product (a galvanised table made in Denmark) was very good but I do not this company anymore.

I ordered a whetstone from the UK branch. It shipped from Germany and arrived chipped because it had been packaged loosely with a metal sharpening stick. I sent an email to ask whether it was still usable, or if it would need to be sent back.

After 10 days, I still have no reply to the email. I've phoned the customer service people and was on hold for 20 minutes and then the line disconnected.

The whetstone cost £87 :(

Don't trust these people with your money. They owe me at least a reply, and probably at least a partial refund, but they are not responding to any contact method.

I have received a partial delivery but been charged for all items on order. No mention of a back order. No reply from 3 emails. You call and get an awful answer machine message that tells you, you have called out of hours. An absolute pretentious pain in the ar*e. Rude and annoying. Now to ask paypal for a refund.

The site presents a careful and thoughtful "curation" of interesting products, and as such is unique and compelling. The experience of buying from Manufactum is extremely disappointing however.

Our order arrived with only two out of four products, but with an invoice that claimed all products delivered. Since then the company has been unresponsive - by both phone and email - forcing us to raise a claim via PayPal.

On top of that the products themselves, while of seemingly high quality, do not work together as suggested.

We will continue to visit Manufactum for ideas for products which we can buy elsewhere - already have, at better prices!

Finally got my order no thanks to DHL (I ordered on the 11th July and finally in my hands today 7th August). Manufactum use DHL as they are a German Company but are awful couriers. However I have had prompt email replies from Manufactum customer service and the product I wanted which I now have is an amazing product. It’s a shame it’s not available very easily in the UK. Other super stuff available from their website too but given the trouble I have had with the courier I would think twice before ordering and see if I could obtain else where. Thank-you though Manufactum and also for acknowledging the inconvenience I have had.

I ordered goods from Germany to be sent to Denmark. The payment procedures and time it took to get the goods (2 months) was extraordinary for an item ordered from the web shop. Upon arrival I found one unit to be broken and in stead of sending a spare part the item (2kg) had to be returned. It costed a lot and Manufactum did not refund the full amount to me. I'm really fed up with how they handle things, and would reassure myself that I cannot source fro other place before ordering next time.
A shame as Manufactum has a lot of very good product on offer, not cheap, but good quality.

Really, really nice products, but a complete farce to buy from the site. They sent jacket with the shop-alarm attached and then charged again for the same product.
Buy somewhere else, unless you really enjoy to communicate with costumer services,
