We think the high street and expensive designer brands give consumers a raw deal. That's because everyone along the way takes a cut, from agents to landlords. And you - our discerning customer - pay for that cut. So we're making a stand: taking on the high street to offer you original furniture design at affordable prices. Here's how we do it differently:

The most HORRENDOUS service

The most HORRENDOUS service. Delivery didn't arrive on the day it stated, that is a WFH day wasted. Delivery didn't arrive on the second day at the time it stated resulting me to take yet another WFH day, which I am not allowed to do normally.

When delivery finally came - it was WRONG. We arranged for re-delivery and pick up. they re-delivered it WRONG AGAIN.

Being 38 weeks pregnant I have explained to the company that I cannot waste any more time for them to look at yet another 're-delivery' which most likely would be wrong given the history... yet they were unwilling to give any compensation or put me through to the manager.

PLEASE DO NOT USE EVER.

Seemingly Next buying Made was a WASTE because they are as horrific, if not worse, than before.

NEVER AGAIN buying from NEXT OR MADE.

Please do not order from this company

Please do not order from this company. About 1.5 years ago I ordered a dining table from made.com. The table cost over €900 but was never delivered. Turned out they went bankrupt but continued to take orders. To this day I have not seen a table and I have lost my money too. I recently find out made.com is now back online and is acting as if nothing happened. As far as I'm concerned it's just a scam.

Poor quality and poor service

I had a shoe storage as a gift. After a while I realised that three of round hinges were broken. Accordingly I started chat with company and requested spare parts. Shannon ( customer service ) asked me about proof of purchase As it was a gift, I couldn't give them a proof but couple of broken hinges photos. She treated me like I stole it. She said Company policy , company policy , There is no quality , no proper customer service , no warranty , nothing. So pity.

First thing, these site have no customer feedback or review. This is because they know about their products.
After 8 hours of labour fixing it, door wont fit and drawers wont fit. I have fixed lot of furniture and equipment before. But these furniture is not good quality and they wont fit. On raising complaint technician came and no idea why its not working. He just claiming fitting issue without proper reason. He told wrong screw used is the reason gave. Asked him to show me where the screw goes. He said I dont know. Is that mean company send wrong screw. He took manual and said I cant fix it and left. Company just says fitting issue without proper reason. Drawers wont fit in the area provided. Based on my understanding this product have design issue. It will never fit in the drawers provided and doors will not close. Company not helping and we end up wasting 700 pounds. Please careful and avoid if possible shoping in made.com or next.com for furniture

historic reviews before the company went bust! …

How has this historic review score been allowed to exist for a company that went bust and none of the staff were retained my Next. It’s a different owner that had nothing to do with the reviews (if positive) when they were written. Next didnt honour all the lost orders so shouldn’t be able to pick and choose which parts of the old company it wants to keep. It should be forced to start again, along with the reviews.

I used to love Made

I used to love Made, until I lost £1500 when they went into liquidation . I’m amazed that the brand lives on as if nothing happened. If Next decided to acquire the brand, they should at least honour those loyal customers who lost out!

Broken velvet sofa, customer service lied about their technician serivces, then technician told even more lies...

I purchased a velvet sofa from Made.com which I absolutely loved for my tiny flat. About 14 months later, I sat down and the leg snapped - I'm about 50kgs, and barely have people round my flat as it's so small and far out. I contacted Made customer service, well aware that it's past the 12 month warranty, and asked to BUY a replacement leg - and repeated multiple times to buy. They said no and was pretty insistent on sending out a HomeServce technician - which I said was pointless as I knew exactly what was wrong and what needed to be replaced. After going round in circles and confirming that HomeServe was a free service, I agreed to get a technician round.

When the HomeServe technician arrived, he was shocked that I - a 50kg short female - broke the sofa on my own, and reassured me that he would write in the report that it was a product/manufacturer fault, and request for a replacement to be sent to me. A few weeks later, I had heard nothing so I contacted Made customer service again. To my disbelief, they said the HomeServe technician wrote in the report that it was my fault the sofa broke so they had a hefty bill for me to get the sofa fixed (although no one bothered to get in touch), and that they also had an invoice from HomeServe for sending out the technician to me for the broken furniture from user error. I went round and round in circles with the awful, rude customer service insinuating that I was lying.

In the end, my friend has drilled a few metal plates here and there on the wooden legs and around the bottom of the sofa to secure it.

PS - this happened before Made.com went into adminstration and was bought out by Next but if it's the same quality of furniture, I would avoid like the plague
