This review applies to their products and services, but mainly the latter. We've been using Luminous Themes since 2018 and have been really happy with their themes. Recently we've come to the conclusion that we outgrew the capabilities of the Weebly platform, and we signed on with Luminous's migration service to migrate our site to Webflow. The results have been phenomenal. They built us a jaw-dropping site in Webflow which has driven measurable positive impact for our brand. The entire process was super easy and enjoyable. We requested a few revisions and the average turnaround time was an incredible two hours from the moment we submitted the request to the implementation. Truly am grateful to the entire Luminous team for building our new website. You guys rock and it was a pleasure hiring y'all!
Not really sure what these reviews are on about. For reference, I bought their Cascade theme in May 2024. It's been a great experience, much better than the other premium theme providers (which are pretty much dead).
I had an issue with the font rendering from a custom font I uploaded. Reached out to them and got a response within just a couple of hours, Michael from their team provided a code snippet which fixed my font issue even though it wasn't really related to their themes in the first place. Great support.
The other premium theme providers in the Weebly space are essentially dead, Luminous are the only guys actively developing new templates.
As long as you upload the right folder, installation is easy. They have good tutorials too.
Ultimately they're the only guys still making Weebly themes. Baamboo is dead, the last theme they released was in like 2018. Roomy's quality just isn't up there with Luminous. Webfire is out of business.
One important thing I need to mention is definitely read the instructions before you install the theme. You need to know exactly which file to upload. If you upload the wrong file it'll give you an error message. I suspect a bunch of folks aren't reading the instructions.
I purchased their Oxygen theme for Weebly. After following the directions for installation and utilizing their page builder application, I was unable to make their PureSlider element work. I contacted support 3 times over two weeks with no response. The company has a "no refund" policy.
Buyer beware!
These folks are honestly the only reason I’m sticking with Weebly for the time being. They’re great.
Been using their themes for a while now and they’re the best on the market for weebly (which, granted, is pretty small but still)
Side note: Their Apollo theme is older and doesn’t have pagebuilder so keep that in mind. I’d recommend going for their newer stuff— like cascade, oxygen, pristine, etc. just because those themes have pagebuildwr.
Afaik every theme other than Apollo has PageBuilder. Bought Apollo thinking it has pagebuilder but it didn’t, so asked for a refund and they issued one immediately. I’ve personally experienced very fast support from them.
Very happy with their other themes. Also if you use figma like me, you can request figma designs from them and they’ll send them for free. I didn’t see this anywhere on their site so just a heads up. Super useful if you’re working with clients (because you can prototype and send it to them!)
Excellent customer support, fantastic themes. I was put off my the reviews here but decided to take a leap and buy their Cascade theme. It's a phenomenal theme and it was easy to use and install. The old weebly themes suck so I am really glad that luminous is around. They're the only theme provider actively making weebly themes right now, the other guys have stopped making themes.
The install was super quick--you literally get a .zip file, and you upload it into Weebly. They also have a feature called page builder to quickly assemble pages with prebuilt layouts. It took a while to get used to but its a very powerful tool, especially if you're building a design-heavy website. They have video tutorials and everything.
Their customer service is also pretty good--real humans, no chatbots or whatever. My first inquiry got a response within 6 hours, my reply got a response within 3 hours. I think they're based in the U.S Pacific coast (i'm on the east coast) so you can expect responses in that general range. I was talking to James from their support and he went above and beyond to help me out with something that turned out to be a mistake I made and not even relevant to their themes. He even recorded a Loom video and sent me a screen recording of how to fix the setting.
Anyway, I'm super satisfied with their theme and their support. No clue what the other reviewers are talking about. I tried Baamboo's themes, Roomy's themes, a bunch of other providers and none of them have offerings as well-polished and easy to use as luminous.
Now, if weebly support could get their **** together, that would be great...
WHAT A HORRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE!
I'm a Weebly user. Their site is easy to use but their templapes are limited. I decided to purchase the Oxygen template from Luminous Themes. It looked great at an awesome price. Downloading the code into Weebly was easy. Then the problems started. The Oxygen code "invaded" all my new Weebly pages. I have emailed their customer support line at least 5 times with no response. In their Support tab they say "we will do everything in our power to help you out with whatever issues you run into." Not true. I wish they would have replied back. It's not the $79, it's the lack of support. Their product is beautiful, not so their customer support. Now I'm having to spend additional $$$ to have a designer fix my site. If you buy, do so at your own risk. Better yet, don't use them. There are many other Weebly compatible providers.
Bought a couple of these themes in recent years and they're nicely built and relatively easy to use however don't expect any customer support from the company. They ignore emails and don't respond to support tickets. If you read most reviews about them online you'll read the same thing. A real shame.
