From my first phone call to my last visit (collecting my amazing kia stonic) the customer service from all staff was second to none Nathan my sales rep was exceptionally fantastic nothing was a bother to him. The car handover was straightforward everything explained throughly. Highly recommend 💯 only dealer I'll be using in future
Campbell kept us fully advised of when the car would be ready for collection. He had all the paperwork printed out before our arrival and clearly explained everything before asking us to sign. The car was well presented and again Campbell was happy to answer any questions we had.
After reading the negative reviews of this dealership on Auto Trader, Google, and Trustpilot, I never expected to have a similar experience myself, with serious issues arising less than 24 hours after purchasing the vehicle.I purchased a two-year-old Approved Used Mercedes on a Friday. By the following day, the vehicle had developed a loud knocking noise from underneath and was struggling to reverse. The car was subsequently towed to a different Mercedes dealership, where technicians diagnosed the issue as a gearbox mount that had become detached, most likely as a result of previous work being carried out. They also found screws left on the undertray. When I raised this with the Sales Manager, a number of excuses were offered, including such as no work had been carried out on the gearbox and that further reports were needed to confirm the diagnosis. For information, the diagnosis came from another authorised Mercedes dealership, which had no reason to misrepresent the cause of the fault and who ultimately rectified the issue under warranty. It has now been more than four weeks since the incident. I also submitted a formal complaint through the Lookers website, yet no adequate response. This lack of communication is extremely disappointing. While I could understand some uncertainty if the diagnosis had come from an independent third-party garage, that is not the case here. The findings were made by another Mercedes dealership and point to a vehicle being supplied in an unsafe condition. I purchased the vehicle in good faith, expecting it to meet the standards associated with an Approved Used Mercedes, but my experience has fallen far short of those expectations. Also its difficult to reconcile my experience with Lookers' claims that its vehicles undergo rigorous inspections and that customer complaints are addressed within 14 days. With this in mind, I don’t recommend this dealership
Traded my car to this garage for cash and a used car, firstly they are quick to take your money but like to take there time paying you, had my car up for sale before they had even paid for it. Now onto the car I bought, firstly the car stank, which should have set alarm bells ringing, while installing my dash cam, there was an open dog treat bag jammed by the pollen filter so they obviously don’t check them very well. But this was the least of my troubles, after a day, the DPF warning light comes on, then the engine management light and the car goes into limp mode, granted I got the car booked in 2 days later and they gave me a nice courtesy car, with the assurance it was fixed. Upon collecting the car, first thing I noticed was nearly half a tank of fuel had magically disappeared and my dash cam had been disconnected. But I could live with that as long as the car was sorted, unfortunately it wasn’t as again 20 miles later the same fault. Took the car back and was offered a variety of options, to get the car “fixed” (which isn't an option as there no trust now) a refund, or to swap the car for something alike, they had a car in which was to my liking albeit more expensive and lookers idea of a deal and “looking after me” was just to knock off the price of a warranty….. a warranty I’ve already paid for a week ago. So instead of looking after me/helping me they just wanted to make more money so looks like I’m stuck with with a car that doesn’t run properly until the logbook arrives. UPDATE: Picked out a newer car, still had to wait until my logbook arrives so I’ve stuck driving a car in limp mode for almost a month, finalised everything today and just got home to sort out my dash cams, and get everything sorted and the car is not what you’d expect when shelling out £12000. Now you can argue it’s my fault for not inspecting the car properly on pick up, Fool me once and all that, but I guess I just had blind faith they’d do better when given a second chance. Firstly both the rear tyres are perished to the point where I’m questioning how they’d pass an MOT so I’m going to book the car in to get double checked, by a reputable garage. The car itself is manky you’d have thought after the trouble I’ve gone through dealing with them that they’d at least make sure it was clean. There isn’t a panel that isn’t full of scratches, the parcel shelf is broken. I’m not sure who “cleans” these cars but they obviously have the same standards as the people running the place. It’s in a much worse condition than the car I’ve had to take back. I can live with cosmetic imperfections but it should reflect in the price, paying top price for a car of this age and mileage isn’t right when the car is kicked to bits, I’m just hoping this car lasts me long enough so that I never ever have to go back. There complaints department are a joke just repeat the same waffle under every reply and have no intention of making things right, and the manager clearly doesn’t care so fingers crossed I never have to deal with them again.
Totally professional, from reception to car pick up. I recommend this business unreservedly.
Brilliant experience from drop off to collection, very friendly staff, easy process and even gave my car a valet.
Generally good service but never received the vehicle health check documentation after the service.
From the moment I looked at cars online to receiving the keys the customer service was amazing, during every step Michael was keeping up to date with everything that was going on and was clear about the next steps going forward
I am incredibly disappointed with the appalling level of service from this main dealer. I naively expected a better experience than an independent dealership, but I have been left thoroughly let down.
The vehicle's charging flap was damaged upon collection. It has taken over two months of waiting to finally get it booked in to have it replaced under warranty.
The car lacked the promised second fob at pickup. A replacement was eventually posted but arrived without an emergency key blade. I had to pay to get the fob programmed myself. I was promised a full reimbursement, but this has never materialized, the same as the key blade. I assume I'll need to arrange, and pay for this myself unexpectedly.
Within a few days of ownership, the brakes felt unsafe. I’ve now been quoted over £1,000 to replace the front discs/pads and fix the rears. This quote was from my local VW main dealer, I was told by Jack in the Blackburn branch where I originally purchased the car that maybe they were making it up to try and get money out of me, WOW!!!!
What is most frustrating is the total lack of communication. Both the salesman and the manager have completely ignored my messages regarding the key blade, the reimbursement, and the brakes. It makes me seriously question the depth and validity of their pre-sales safety inspection.
I have always been a loyal VW customer, but after this experience, I will never buy from them again. Avoid.
Lookers South Woodham, always look after my car with their easy monthly payment plan which gives me breakdown cover too, very pleasant staff and all round good experience

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received.
My Range Rover went in on 30th June at 9:30am for what was supposed to be a one hour diagnostic. At 2:46pm, having heard nothing, I rang for an update and was told my service advisor, Ross, would call me back. No call came.
I called again at 5:27pm and Ross told me the technician hadn't yet given him any feedback.
The following day, I called at 12:53pm and asked to speak to Ross. I was told he was busy and would call me back. Again, no call.
On Thursday at 1:50pm, I rang once more and was again told Ross was busy and would call me back. I explained that I had been waiting days for a callback and still hadn't received one. Eventually, at 2:25pm, another colleague phoned me and explained what was wrong with the car. I told him that was fine and asked him to send me the bill so I could get it sorted. He said Ross would email it to me. Once again, no email arrived.
On Friday at 9:40am, I called to explain that Ross still hadn't sent anything and asked to speak to his manager. I was told she would get back to me, but once again, nobody contacted me.
The lack of communication has been shocking. I have repeatedly had to chase for updates, promises of callbacks were never kept, emails were never sent, and even my request to speak to a manager resulted in no response. This experience has been frustrating and has fallen well below the level of service I would expect from a premium dealership.
Based on my experience, Ross clearly needs more training in customer communication and customer care. If you tell a customer you'll call them back or send them information, you should follow through. I was repeatedly promised callbacks and emails that never arrived, leaving me to chase updates myself every step of the way.
I appreciate that workshops can be busy, but keeping customers informed is a basic part of the job. This experience fell far below the standard I would expect from a premium dealership, and I hope improvements are made so other customers don't have the same experience.

My experience at VW Van centre was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for Lizzy, and my car was ready in a few hours.
