London Glazing Reviews 

Used this company after Storm Franklin for emergency boarding or repair of window which blew out. Made mistake of not asking the price before they turned up, and they massively overcharged. Insistent on immediate payment, said that they would email a receipt which they did not do, making it difficult to present claim to the insurers.

Called to get a quote and so rude over the phone I didn’t even bother to continue.

Avoid, massive overchanging

Complete rip off, feeding off the urgency of needing to have a broken window fixed. Advertised as no call out fee then I read a review here and called again. Oh, 'its Sunday so £150'. So they lie on their website. Then I asked how much to put a board over the break over night and that's at least £350, so we are talking £500 just for boarding it up. When I cancelled I got offensive threats. Threats that my address is now known.

I advise everyone to look at reviews before contacting anyone even if urgent.

Do not use! Rip-off company quoted me £295 + early hours charge for boarding up a broken window. Didn’t say the early hours charge would be £590! Very shady and intransparent how the guy arrived at this number, I think he just randomly made it up! With tax turned out £1000 for a 20-min job to board up a broken window. As the actual repair cost 1/3rd of this, these guys are crooks, do not use them!

1. We requested a quote, they showed up at our door instead. Felt like a pressure sales tactic that preys on people who don't like to cause a fuss. We let them go ahead, which we regret.

2. Was told that the window had a manufacturing fault that caused it to shatter and that it posed an imminent danger and needed to be replaced immediately. Had to press hard to get a quote.

3. Once they had my money, they were absolutely no help when it came time to help us make our insurance claim. All they had to do was reply to an email saying that there was no evidence of vandalism/negligence and that the shatter appeared to be caused by a manufacturing issue. They pretended like they didn't know anything about the specific issue they mentioned as the cause and were absolutely no help.

4. The job itself was done well and the chaps who did it were nice enough, but in the end we feel scammed and that the whole operation was designed to take the money and run. Never again.

NOTE: We are not extortionists and did not want to appear like we were forcing an outcome, so we did not mention we would be leaving this review.

ADDED: Reply says this business started trading in 2022, but a WHOIS search of their URL shows they've had the URL since 2015 and it has not changed hands. Also, search of their URL on the internet archive shows what their website looked like on the date of my reviews. Links are not allowed in reviews. Google for yourself and you'll see they've been around for a while.
