Pretty terrible, extremely unreliable

Fly them all the time with business and for holidays as only carrier out of Stornoway plus used to use them when worked offshore up to Orkney Shetland etc. known to provide terrible service, staff are nice but that's it, generally less than fifty fifty if flight is on time regularly cancelled or huge delays. Everybody on islands now needs to travel day before or they risk any onwards connections as service so unreliable, flights cost a fortune and they somehow seemed to actually have got worse. Word got around locally that they had won an award which was a running joke locally, how? Terrible carrier in general, despite been subsidised and tbh getting worse

Hi Alexander,

We’re sorry to hear that your experience with our service has not met expectations, and we understand the frustration that delays and cancellations can cause—especially when travel plans are time-sensitive.

We acknowledge that in the past, our On Time Performance (OTP) was lower than we would have liked. However, we’ve made significant efforts to improve the reliability and consistency of our service.

These improvements reflect our ongoing commitment to providing a safe and dependable service for all our passengers.

We understand there’s still work to be done, and we’re committed to continuing our efforts to improve. ^JH

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the sheer creativity in time…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the sheer creativity in time travel

Ah, Loganair. The airline for true adventurers—those who don’t want the dull certainty of knowing when they’ll actually arrive or depart.

They advertise flight times, but don’t be fooled. That’s not a schedule—it’s more of a polite suggestion. Think of it as performance art in timetable form.

You’ll enjoy the thrilling airport announcements: “Your flight is in the air and should arrive at [new time]!”—only for that airborne ghost ship to show up over an hour after that promised time. It's almost poetic how many times they can move the goalposts.

And don’t worry about a direct 1.25-hour flight taking nearly three hours—that’s just Loganair giving you extra value. More time to bond with the airport chairs, explore every overpriced coffee outlet, and reflect on the mysteries of aviation scheduling.

If you’re the sort who loves surprises, just turn up at the airport and hope for the best. Who needs reliability when you can have pure chaos?

Loganair: redefining punctuality—by ignoring it altogether.

AVOID AVOID AVOID

I’ve been sat at Southampton airport for 7 hours now. First flight delayed and then cancelled, second flight now 2 hours delayed. They have done nothing but lie to us all about the issues today, cancelling a quiet flight to make us all wait for the evening one. I’ll never use this airline again. Much easier to go to London and jump on a BA flight

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re truly sorry for any frustration and inconvenience you may have experienced at Southampton Airport.

We want to assure you that cancelling a service is always our last resort. The decision to consolidate your travel with that of customers on a later scheduled flight was made to ensure you reached your destination as soon as possible. A larger aircraft was deployed on the later service to accommodate all affected passengers, allowing us to minimise further disruption and get everyone moving safely and efficiently.

We understand how disappointing delays and changes can be, especially when communication doesn’t meet expectations. Your experience has been shared with our operations and customer service teams to help us improve how we manage and communicate during such situations.

We appreciate you sharing your experience, and we hope you’ll consider giving us another opportunity in the future. ^JH

Absolute crap airline

Absolute crap airline. Booking process is fraught with problems, You can't check-in until only a couple of days in advance so if you're away for a long weekend you have to check in for your return flight whilst you're actually away. Can't load boarding passes in Google Wallet, even though their rubbish app gives this option. Please can Easyjet or BA start flights to Orkney so that there's some semi decent alternative this appalling airline.

We are sorry to hear that our online check-in process doesn’t suit your needs.

It’s worth noting that many low-cost carriers now require passengers to check in online up to 30 days in advance, with additional charges applied for airport check-in. This policy is designed to streamline operations and reduce costs, but it can be inconvenient for passengers who may not have easy access to the internet while away.

In contrast, British Airways (BA) allows online check-in 24 hours before departure, which can be limiting for weekend travellers needing to check in for return flights while still away.

Loganair offers a more flexible approach: passengers can check in online up to 96 hours (4 days) before departure, or choose to check in at the airport at no extra cost—a policy that provides more convenience and choice.

We also apologise for the trouble you experienced when adding your boarding pass to Google Wallet via our app. We’re not currently aware of any widespread issues, but we’d be happy to investigate further. Please don’t hesitate to contact us through our Help Centre using the link below and provide more details so we can look into this for you. ^JH

Beware codeshare with Blue Island

They sold a flight from Guernsey to UK without mentioning it is a codeshare flight with Blueisland Airways.
The flight was cancelled. Logan customer service say they can't help. Not their problem.
If you sell the seat then you should be responsible

Frustratingly Poor Value – Unworthy of Loyalty

Loganair really let me down. For such steep fares, I expected a competent, customer-focused airline. Instead, I got disinterested service and a general sense that passengers are an afterthought.
The real kicker? I lost all my Avios points because of “inactivity” — not even a courtesy email warning me before they were wiped. For a company charging these prices, it’s a slap in the face to loyal customers.
In short: overpriced, underdelivering, and indifferent to customer retention. I won’t be flying with them again — and I suggest others think twice too.

Let me know if you’d like to add dates, routes, or any specific details to back it up even more.

Airline has zero compassion or customer…

Airline has zero compassion or customer service. There seems to be an ongoing issue with loyalty accounts being compromised at both British Airways and Loganair.

When I went to make a reservation using Avios a few weeks ago, I was shocked to discover that my account had been compromised and all my Avios had been stolen. I worked tirelessly with BA to recover the stolen Avios and they finally credited them back to my account.

Unfortunately, when I went to book the Logan Air flight, I was gutted to see that Avios seats are not showing available for that flight. I realize that this is not LoganAir's direct responsibility to fix, but reached out pleading for any assistance from Loganair. I am traveling with my mother who is a cancer patient.

Nope. Just a standard form letter response.

Hi Vegas Ryan,

While we would love to accommodate every request, as a regional carrier operating smaller aircraft, we are limited in the number of Avios seats available on each flight. These seats are allocated in advance and tend to be booked quickly, particularly on popular routes. For this reason, we always recommend booking as early as possible to increase the likelihood of availability.

While Avios seats may no longer be available for your preferred flight, standard fares can still be purchased directly through our website if you want to proceed with your travel plans.

We are sorry to hear that you feel our initial response did not meet your expectations for compassion and support. Your feedback is invaluable, and we will use it to improve how we communicate with and assist our customers in the future. ^JH

Don’t use their London City flight

Flight cancelled at the last minute on a Friday night - they have no staff at London City so it was a shambles and we were told we were unlikely to get home until Tuesday. So I rearranged a flight back via Gatwick the following day. Loganair will not refund any of the additional costs incurred. This is the second time this has happened to me on this route in the last 3 months (and I’ve only flown twice!). Appalling reliability, and shocking service when things go wrong.

Hi Mr Warnes

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused by the delay in delivering your baggage. We understand how frustrating and disruptive this must have been, especially given the impact on your work commitments.

Despite our very best efforts to avoid this type of occurrence, where there is a mixture of manual and mechanical labour, unfortunately, such incidents can happen, although only to a small percentage of the baggage carried on our flights.

We would like to clarify that the payment of £121 you received was not issued as compensation, but rather as reimbursement for essential items you have needed to purchase while awaiting the return of your baggage. This is in line with our policy to support passengers during such delays.

We also respectfully advise that you may contact your travel insurance provider for any additional losses, such as loss of earnings, if taken out before travel. They are often better positioned to assist with claims of this nature.

We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations, and again, I would like to offer our sincere apologies for the delay to your luggage. I hope any future travel you may have with us will be to your satisfaction. ^JH

Useless booking site

Tried for hours to book a flight using avios points on the last day of their campaign. Website down, just error messages and gateway timeouts. Sent a complaint form to customer services - got a response stating that I should expect an answer within 28 days… Loganair Air - never again!

Hi Michael,

I am sorry to hear about the frustration you encountered at the airport, and we understand how disappointing it must have been to miss your flight.

I have provided some important details regarding our check-in process to help avoid such situations in the future.

Our online check-in is available from 96 hours (4 days) prior to your scheduled departure time. This can be accessed via our website or mobile app. If you have any technical issues, our customer help centre is available to help you by phone, email, or live chat.

The airport check-in desk opens 2 hours before departure and closes 40 minutes prior to departure. This policy is in place to ensure all passengers can be processed in time for an on-time departure.

As you mentioned, arriving at the airport 40 minutes before your flight unfortunately coincided with the closure of the check-in desk, which is why our staff were unable to issue a boarding pass at that time.

I'm sorry that you felt the service you received was not as helpful or empathetic as it should have been. I will pass over details of your experience to the relevant department manager to ensure any underlying training issues are addressed.

We hope this explanation helps explain things, and we would appreciate the opportunity to restore your confidence in flying with us in the future. ^JH

Not Cheap. Not Great.

I travelled from Aberdeen to Manchester Airport on 25/05/2025 to collect a car.
I booked online & pre-booked my seat at an extra cost. On boarding, I was given a seat at the back of the plane because the flight was not full. I hadn't chosen to sit by the toilets for obvious reason.
I'm not the biggest guy in the world but getting in the seat was like trying to climb in to my own shoe!
I was offered a drink onboard but as the tray in front of me was hanging off, had to decline.
£139 for the flight. My last trip was Inverness to Bristol with Easyjet. It cost £49.
Once again, I contacted the company before writing this review but had no response.

Hi Antony,

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with us. I’m sorry to hear that your journey from Aberdeen to Manchester Airport did not meet your expectations.
Firstly, I’d like to apologise for the inconvenience caused by the seat reassignment. We understand that when a customer pays extra to select a specific seat, they expect to receive that seat. Unfortunately, on this occasion due to the number of passengers on board, we required you to move seat to aid in the weight and balance of the aircraft.

I’m also sorry to hear about the condition of the tray table and how it impacted your ability to enjoy the onboard service. Our Customer Relations Team has received your complaint and will investigate this matter further and take the appropriate action to ensure any issues are resolved.

As I have noted above our Customer Relations Team has received your complaint and aim to respond to you within 28 days, which should have been advised within the automated response received after submitting your complaint.

I will, however, start the refund process for the additional costs you have paid to allocate your seat while you await a response from our Customer Relations Team. ^JH

Very disappointing

Very disappointing. My flight got cancelled yesterday due to a fault with the plane. I was booked onto one 12 hours later. Submitted my claim for compensation and was told by Loganair that I am not entitled to compensation as I accepted a seat on the later flight, which is simply wrong. Plus their website is awful. Would never fly with them again

Discrimination Against Passenger with Qualified Service Dog - Violation of Disability Rights*

I am writing this review to express my profound disappointment with Loganair Airways' handling of my travel requirements as a passenger with a service dog.

## What Happened

Despite having all the proper documentation for my service dog, including:
• Valid service dog certification
• Advanced notification to the airline

This decision was made the Accessiblity "customer care" route. and left me unable to travel as planned on my future journey.

## Impact on Me

This refusal has caused:
• Emotional distress and anxiety
• Disruption to important personal/medical commitments

## Staff Response

The staff member(s) involved showed their attitude - lack of understanding, dismissiveness and appeared to have insufficient training and education on disability rights and service animal regulations. Despite my attempts to explain the legal requirements and show proper documentation, they remained inflexible and unhelpful.

I complete review for all airlines and protocols need to be revised to make disabled peoples lives easier not problematic and stressful when they are still trying to navigate some form of normal when society treats us like this.

Don't book Loganair codeshare flights!

What a delight it is to work in customer support nowdays! Just answer "Thank you for your email" and "I am sorry we cannot be of any more assistance". No investigation, no deepdive. Just automatic answer and that's all. Dream job!

The case.

On the 22nd of February, 2025 booked on Loganair official website a connecting flight from Jersey to Isle of Man via Birmingham.

The date of the flights was 23rd of April 2025.
Flight 1 - Jersey - Birmingham - sold as LM2262, but operated by Blue Islands Airlines as SI2262.
- 02:50 minutes layover
Flight 2 - Birmingham - Isle of Man - LM638 - Birmingham - Isle of Man

My first flight was heavily delayed and I arrived at the time of departure of Isle of Man flight. Of course, nobody from the ground or online support staff cared about that. Do you know that if you buy an official connecting flight - it really doesn't matter? You will just miss the flight with no options of help.

And even if you dare to ask for a refund - nothing. It is Blue Islands fault. Yeah, maybe it is. But maybe you, as an airline and legal entity can care about your customers? Ask them? Help with your enquiry? I am 100% sure you have a contract signed for the codeshare and all the rules and who helps who.

And I also missed my Isle of Man- Edinburgh flight. I asked for the refund. I even cancelled my check in. But there is no answer. Oh, but I got 2 e-mails about how was my flight. Felt like a spit in the face.

Maybe, Loganair are good (want to try them later this year), but if they have a codeshare- be sure to skip that.

Thank you!

Diabolical company to fly with .

Diabolical company to fly with .
Flight from Manchester to Kirkwall which is supposed to be their new offering of a “direct flight” they don’t tell you anywhere it’s landing in Inverness or Aberdeen . Not the main concern that they’re not transparent with this .
Flight to Inverness was available but not onward to Kirkwall . And they’ve offered us “land transport” - to an island ??? Ended up with a 10 hour delay after being diverted to Aberdeen and more waiting . They have just flatly turned down request for compensation . No explanation what they based their decision on . I am battling it out with them as told by lots of islanders they just knock them back regardless of if they’re at fault - their customer service is diabolical. During and post flight .
They’ve got captive market as nobody else flies to the islands . Sort your crap out Logan air you are a joke airline

We flew with Logan air flight from…

We flew with Logan air flight from Aberdeen to Dublin flight LM00. Our flight attendant was Richard and we can’t praise him enough. We have two young children aged 2 and 10 months. He was so good with them both. Let our 2 year old up to see the pilot, he was so helpful with all our bags and very friendly. He also gave our 2 year old a tour of the plane. We would choose Logan air again for sure because of this.
