The item purchased (A solar powered water feature) was weak in function as I wanted to hear the sound of running water but couldn't as the pressure was so low. Upon trying to return the item the same day, I have been asked numerous times for my reason in returning. I have requested to be informed of the returns procedure by e mail three times but have only met with further questioning as to my reason for the return. I am no further forward with this matter and extremely frustrated and very annoyed. I will never purchase online from Debenhams again. Despite the 14 day cooling off period under which a purchased item can be returned for a refund with giving a reason, living and home ltd which is a franchise of Debenhams still refuses to authorise a return of the goods I purchased and are continuously requesting that I give a reason and explanation for my request. This appears to be a Scam company.

The fan I ordered was delivered with instructions to build an entirely different ceiling fan. Still a week later I am unable to use the product (which is during a heatwave) as I have been advised to buy a washer to raise the middle cover in order for the product to actually be useable. The top of the screws that hold the blades to the centre are so high they scrape the middle unit. I am still waiting to hear back as to what specific washers etc I need for this type of fan. I’d advise you do not buy this. Incredibly disappointed.

Ordered via Wowcher - which appears to be the same company to my mind. Email communications from the Customer Service Wowcher team are actually from a Livingandhome domain mailbox and so it appears to me that Wowcher is but a marketing route for Living and Home The same shed I was looking for retailed online from B&Q, but was fulfilled (despatched and delivered) from Livingandhome. (they had 26 available at a time when "Wowcher" cancelled mine owing to lack of stock) Communication - dreadful. No communication until I enquired why my order was delayed (Those are the rules - you are given a delivery date, if your delivery does not arrive you contact "the merchant" the day after. Seemingly the merchant is Living and home, and the retailer is Wowcher. And neither admits to being the other. It is a vortex of confusion dealing with this messy set up. I am still waiting and expect to wait some time for my refund (they have three versions in two days of exactly how this will happen. One form the retail team offering a credit to "my Wowcher account" another within one hour saying a payment will be automatically credited to my bank account whence it came, and a third (from the CS WOwcher team in repsonse to my notification that delivery had not arrived, saying my order had been cancelled and I would receive a refund in full but in around 14 days, and any shipping costs woudl be deducted, becasue shipping costs were taken by Wowcher and not living and home.... all very confusing since I had free delivery in the first place. .. My advice - pay an extra £20 or so somewhere else and get a whole chunk of your life back.
I was going to bypass the sneaky way Wowcher advertises an item and then once you have it in your basket then informs you you have to buy a voucher to get the advertised discount - not only that you then have to "redeem that voucher" only after it has been sent to you via e-mail All very convoluted and not a pleasant experience, start to finish. Like I asy I was going to bypass this and not go to Trustpilot. I now feel obliged to with the terrible communication and seemingly appalling service. I will come back to review once I get my refund. I need to advise people of the purchase experience in the meantime.
Updating the review - as promised , and the refund has appeared duly in my bank, within the original 5 days quoted from WOWcher. That at least is re-assuring, even if the comms were not clear.

UPDATE
After the reply from the company below, I have emailed the address. As yet no reply! £190 for delayed delivery of a damaged item. Come on-get it together. No wonder Amazon has the monopoly!
I ordered through Wowcher. Received a delivery date for Monday 3rd May, Tuesday after chasing delivery company,Living & home and Wowcher. Was advised that the delivery company had lost item.
Friday 8th May, delivery received, damaged. You could clearly see it had been sent and returned by another customer.
Now for the chase of a refund. What a waste of my time.
Why can’t companies just do what they’re paid to do??? Why is it that hard?
Don’t bother using Wowcher or Living & Home, incompetent.

Bought a ceiling fan light from this company BRAND NEW through BQ,it arrived and was broken so I ask for it to be returned.i sent photos and said I didn't want a replacement as it was for a wedding gift the following day.i received a reply through BQ asking if I wouldn't mind waiting 9 weeks while they got a replacement pair UNBELIEVABLE for a brand new item and who do they think was going to take the ceiling/fan light apart and fit any replacement part......not me ,TOLD THEM TO COLLECT THE ITEM. After your reply I can confirm YES it is your firm order number 1063318026-A and I have looked on your site and the item is on it and address the same so don't try and say it's not YOU.

I did not even want to give 1 star but had to in order for the review to be registered. I paid the company my money and awaited delivery of the flooring only to be sent a message from dpd to say that i had refused delivery. This was untrue no one had attemped to deliver the flooring. I was annoyed at the lack of correspondence from both living and home and dpd and so i just brought my flooring from klarna which arrived swiftly. I told Living and home i wanted a refund and they had the audacity to make me wait until they had received the item back knowing full well i had never received it and then to add insult to injury they told me it could take 10 days for the refund. This company claim to be this answer for ppl who cant afford to buy actual wooden flooring however they left me haaving to buy twice through no fault of my own. Ppl avoid this company like COVID!

They produce quite possibly the worst designed greenhouses I've ever had the misfortune of build. I've never left a bad review in my 30 years on this planet. The pain and disappointment I went through in building their 6x6 polycarbonate greenhouse was abysmal. It took 2 of us 8.5 hours to erect it, only for near enough ever panel to blow out in a light breeze. There's no meaningful way to get the panels back in once this happens without rebuilding the thing from scratch. I managed to shimmy some back in and have since had to both silicone and tape the thing together in the hope that it stays together long enough to get us through 1 summer. It's absolutely shameful a company would even dare try sell this to people. I'd have got a better product buying one off Temu or Alibaba, or some countless other knock-off store for a 10th of the price they change. Its an embarrassment.

Honestly one of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had.
I was gifted a chair around Christmas time, and after a couple of months of light use one of the wooden legs snapped off.
The wood is of rather poor quality anyway, but once it had snapped it was clear why, as there were obvious signs of damage to the timber.
I contacted Living and Home via their website, which was completely ignored.
I reached out again via email a few weeks later and may as well have been ignored.
The responses all have the hallmark of being foreign customer service using ChatGPT to generate replies.
Unfortunately as the chair was a gift from someone no longer in my life, I’m unable to obtain proof of purchase. Living and Home will ONLY deal with you if you bought the product directly from them and have proof of purchase.
Fair enough, if I had asked for a replacement chair, but I had anticipated this could be a problem and asked to purchase a replacement leg, but no; they still won’t deal with me.
Imagine if all retailers worked like that - any car purchased from a franchised dealer, second hand or privately would never be able to repaired!
The warranty on their website covers defects for up to a year and has no requirement to show proof of purchase, but even after pointing that fact out I’m getting the same copy and paste reply.
Avoid them like the plague - poor quality furniture and appalling customer service.
EDIT:
Apparently proof of purchase is required to prevent ‘errors or misuse’. Exactly what misuse do they expect to occur if I ask to BUY a replacement part?! Unbelievable.
Conveniently they are still ignoring the fact that the warranty cover on their website DOES NOT require proof of purchase if related to a defect

Ordered kids rotating bookshelf from Living and Home for daughters bedroom as surprise for her birthday on Debenhams website. Despite a ‘free next day delivery ’ code being accepted on the site it took my money then told me delivery within one week- by her birthday. It was dispatched and arrived at Yodel within 48 hours. Then it just sat at Yodel. Yodel impossible to get hold of so contacted Debenhams who told me I had to wait until after my daughter’s birthday before they would try to locate the item, so I didn’t get to surprise her for her birthday. After her birthday I was then told to wait another 48 hours whilst they investigate. After 48 hours I had to chase up again at which tine they told me Living and Home would only offer to resend the item which would take another week, or a refund. To me, resending the item with a partial good will refund was fair but they have absolutely no idea about customer service, and are clearly a very incompetent company and would not offer anything by way of compensation, even though my daughter is left without her birthday present two weeks after her birthday. It could have been sent quicker and investigated earlier but in all honesty they just don’t care about their customers so I’ve ordered the item elsewhere and it arrived today, within 48 hours after ordering. I’ll never order from this company again!

while the sofa i ordered is comfortable it came in 2 seperate shipments (i was not informed of this) after getting the second box i realised the back rest was missing. i have spent a week going back and forth through very inconvenient channels to get this piece sent to me. finally have a delivery conformation just to be told i will get the whole second box again and not just the missing piece ive been told to keep HALF A SOFA as spare parts. i do not have room in my home to store HALF OF A SOFA.
the company is disorganised and has incredibly bad communication.

BBQ received but damaged, replacement BBQ sent, but also similarly damaged.
I was offered a discount if I kept first BBQ , but declined, a similar offer was also made when replacement arrived, and a collection was agreed for both items.
A collection return arranged by Living and Home, through their nominated courier, but 3 failed collections dates followed,
Many emails (40 plus) back and forth, (mostly relating to the courier’s failure to show up).
Being able to speak to someone at Living and Home or their courier, XDP, would have made things much easier. They had my number, but unable to locate theirs.
I appreciated the endeavours and courtesy of the Customer Service Team in trying to resolve this, but now waiting for refund.

Terrible company, they refuse to give refunds on unfit damages good received. Always replying saying not much then get back in touch in 48 hours absolutely no customer service and in breach of the consumer rights act.

The saga of the missing shed ! At the present time I have received half a shed. I ordered the shed on 7th April it was stated delivery would be 3-7 days. After the seven days & no shed I contacted the company, who after lots of towing & froing & me waiting in for two days after receiving emails to say it was being delivered & asking for my money back, the company stated they’d would send another. This I agreed to as long as they could promise immediate delivery. Again email received to say shed would be delivered between 8am & 6pm, waited in all day again, no shed. Again emailed Living & Home who promised me it would be there the following day. Much to my surprise half a shed turned up the following day. After waiting a couple more days I again emailed as to the whereabouts of the other half a shed, I was then told both parts had been delivered. Oh no they haven’t, i still only have half a shed & would like the other half asap !

I did wait for two weeks for a reply to my emails regarding a replacement for a dehumidifier I was told I was getting. They just stopped communicating and when I messaged the online chat customer service the were very vague and said they could not access the emails I sent.
Today I have changed from 1 star to 3 star as they issued a refund after I wrote the initial 1 star review. They did make the whole process very long, lots of back and forth and repetition of requests. They could have saved a lot of my time and theirs by just doing things promptly instead of dragging things out.

Unless you have a degree in engineering I wouldn’t purchase this product 6ftx6ft greenhouse. The instructions are absolutely useless, and do not attempt to erect in the slightest breeze.
Why can they not have colour pictures of the finished product so you have some reference to look at?

Reply from Living and Home
I can’t describe adequately how appalling this company were. Twice they delivered the wrong item and when I asked for my money back they repaid me in instalments. Couldn’t have been a worse experience. I eventually managed to get my money back.
