Staff are serving kids energy drinks in Lidl baldoyle that are clearly not to be sold to kids under 16.
My son is a small 12 and brought home 4 yesterday not knowing. He said him and his friends always drink them.
This needs to stop

CSI: Fruit Aisle

I mean, it’s Lidl. They put groceries behind security screens even in super-safe places like Germany and the Netherlands, so perhaps the Anglo-Saxon world genuinely requires a dedicated security detail for every single apple. 🍏🫡

CUSTOMER Service look at the…

Asked a staff member to look at the bottle deposit machine, as it was asking for a PIN,she dismissed me rudely, and told me to go to checkout. A large queue at checkout, with only one cashier, so i asked her to help, and her manners and tone was so rude and unhelpful. Reluctently she came out to machine. Rudely said there is nothing wrong and walked off, even the other people there wre amazed with her attitude!..i dont think Victoria in Thurles Lidl, has any customer service and wonder why she would be in a managers role

I think Lidl need to have a good hard look at all these reviews …….we can’t all be wrong. The management don’t seem to be interested in fixing problems in my own experience (as my daughter was employed by them) they seem to be creating problems!
I won’t go into detail but they seem to fight fire with fire and I can see why the staff are deflated rude etc as they have no support and all the Lidl policies seem disfunctional. My advice to Lidl is call on help from a supermarket executive professional or pack up shop!!!

Very disappointed with Lidl's handling of my warranty claim.

My Parkside lawnmower developed a fault before it was even one year old, despite being sold with a 3-year warranty. I reported the issue within the first year and provided all requested information, yet over four weeks later I am still chasing a resolution.

I received conflicting information from Lidl and the warranty provider, was unable to speak to anyone by phone, and spent weeks receiving automated responses instead of meaningful updates.

The product may have failed, but it is the poor communication and lack of ownership that has made this experience so frustrating.

Complaints dissappearing in head office!

I raised a complaint regarding cat food, which over a period of 1 week & changing batches, my cat could not seem to keep down (he had been enjoying this product for over 1 year). Initial care from the store was good, refund issued and the batches were sent to head office. An email of receipt was sent to me with the promise to revert. 3 months later and no communication from them. They then had the audacity when I queried what was the result of the complaint was that "it was dealt with internally & then closed"...! Not at all bothered about advising the customer of the outcome! So it looks as though a complaint dissapears into a vat or something to be totally ignored until the customer asks for an update. Oh dear..

If I could give no stars i would

If I could give no stars i would, just back from Lidl in northwood santry, one checkout open and self-service ones only take card, I had only cash on me as did the guy behind me, I had 4 items he had one item, everytime someone needed help on the self-service the girl on the checkout had to leave and go over to sort it out, the queue got longer as this happened 4 times while I was there, then eventually a worker comes over and opens up the other checkout and these 2 guys at the very end of a long queue gets checked out before all the customers that have been waiting for ages, disgraceful service, done going in there after this, they need to treat their customers with a bit of respect in that shop,

I had an issue with a metal shelf that I bought in Lidl. After two and half months and numerous email exchanges later (I have been promised that someone will call me but the same reply was sent over every time) they asking for the same receipt and pictures again....like when I submitted the complaint the first time. It's the worst customer service experience I have ever had and heard of....seriously Lidl can do sooo much better!!!

LIDL DUBLIN ROAD, Swords

LIDL DUBLIN ROAD, SWORDS;
I would like to make an observation about the neglect of plants in Lidl stores. Many many times I have asked store assistants to contact Managers to devise or design a better plant container so plants can be watered and kept alive for customers to buy.
I have taken photos of shrivelled plants, some of which cost €11.99 each but they are ready for the skip.
I asked could they be discounted as food stuffs are but was told that was not possible. What a waste of energy to grow and transport these plants possibly from the Netherlands, The loss of sales for those plants will mean higher prices throughout the stor for all other items, so the customer will have to pay for the loss.
Please, please do something about this big problem of Waste.

Very Poor Aftersales Support from Lidl

I’m extremely disappointed with the aftersales service I’ve experienced regarding a faulty Parkside petrol lawnmower purchased from Lidl.

The mower was only used approximately 3–4 times before it stopped working completely. What should have been a straightforward warranty issue has turned into weeks of delays, chasing emails, being passed between customer care, QA teams, and external service partners, with very little actual progress.

I followed every instruction given to me immediately — contacted customer care, completed the required forms, registered the fault, replied to the service partner, and provided updates when requested. Despite being repeatedly told my case was marked as “urgent”, I was still left waiting for meaningful contact or resolution.

Meanwhile, my garden has become badly overgrown while I remain without a working lawnmower. The most frustrating part has not just been the fault itself, but the constant delays and lack of clear communication.

To be fair, the Quality Assurance team have recently been more understanding and apologetic, and I appreciate their efforts to chase the matter up internally. However, the overall experience has still been far below what I would expect from a major retailer.

I simply expected a product that had barely been used to either be repaired or replaced promptly without weeks of stress and chasing.

Bought a silvercrest wash/mop in…

Bought a silvercrest wash/mop in January which worked great until April when one side of the brushes stopped working. I filled in the return procedure online. Then two weeks later i got email from Optimex asking me what parts i needed. I replied to this email and im still waiting.... I have rang and when i can finally get past AI and speak to someone im told someone will call me back!. But nothing i have sent a formal complaint and was told they hadn't received my email to Optimex. I had screenshot it 4 times to customer service agents. Again this morning i rang and was told someone would get back to me but nothing!. The worst customer service i have ever come across, its like they are waiting for you to give up.

Deputy Manager Avi in Bray Displayed Rudeness & Arrogance

I had a highly unprofessional experience with a staff member named Avi at the Lidl, Dublin Rd, Cork Great, Bray. He refused to serve me, claiming his till was closed, yet immediately opened it for two men behind me in the queue.

When I moved to his till to question this, he was rude and argumentative, insisting his logic was right. Avi offered no greeting, no "thank you" for the transaction, and no apology—it was the lowest display of customer service I’ve experienced. When I asked why he took two men over me and if it was a gender issue, he simply said, "it doesn't matter."

Before I could even finish paying, he was already rushing to leave the till. Despite me explicitly asking for my receipt, he ignored me and walked away before the transaction was finished, leaving me to collect it from the till myself. I urge management to review the CCTV of this interaction; this should be the starting point for training Avi in customer service.

Only when I asked his name did he reveal he is the Deputy Manager. This level of arrogance from an individual in a managerial position is unacceptable. I have already seen the cold, automated "copy & paste" template Lidl uses to reply to my review, which is a perfect reflection of the dismissive attitude I received in-store.

Clearly, Lidl in Dublin Rd, Cork Great, Bray doesn’t care about staff accountability or basic respect for female customers. You have lost not just one, but a neighbourhood of customers in the Dargle area.
