Went to Lidl Finchfield reopening

Went to Lidl Finchfield reopening on Thursday and most shelves were completely empty. Went again on Sunday and the shelves were still completely empty but this time so were the freezers and fridges. Went to Aldi instead and the store was all stocked up.

Feel most disgusted and humiliated shopping experience

Visited yesterday just before closing time which is 9 pm. Went in few minutes before 9 and I appreciating their closing time by picking up my kids needs very quickly. At sharp 9 one of the staff approached me very rushed and rudly told me get to the check out now.
I was rushing to pick my last item some bananas same person again called me off and the security person also joined him.
Was really really upset about their rude behavior with no service at all.
Had to gave up my shopping and went off without them.
Don't know why they have done this with me? One of the reasons may I was in my religious attire.
I know very well that for any operation closing times are very challenging and frustrating.
But if you let any customer in then you have to provide the same service that customer as well.

I am a regular customer at Lidl Corby…

I am a regular customer at Lidl Corby and do my weekly shop there every Saturday evening. Unfortunately, my experience this weekend was extremely disappointing.

After filling a trolley with over 50 items, I found that there were no staffed checkouts open. I noticed a member of staff at one of the tills and politely asked whether she was opening it. In a rude and arrogant tone, she simply replied, "No, you need to go to the self-checkout." I pointed out that I had a full trolley, which should have been obvious, but she repeated that I had to use the self-checkout.

This is not an appropriate way to treat customers with large shops. The self-checkout area is not designed for trolley loads of shopping. There is very limited space, the process is slow, and several items failed to scan properly.

After struggling for a while, I spoke to another member of staff, who has worked at the store for many years and has always been friendly and helpful. I explained that this situation was unreasonable. She agreed with me and immediately directed me to a staffed checkout, where I was served without issue.

I am not submitting this complaint to criticise the helpful member of staff. Instead, I want to raise a concern with Lidl's management. Customers with large weekly shops should not be forced to use self-checkouts simply because no staffed tills are open, particularly when a checkout can clearly be opened when requested. Equally concerning was the dismissive and rude attitude of the first member of staff I approached.

I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve both customer service and the management of checkouts. Regular customers should not be made to feel like an inconvenience when doing a large weekly shop.

Lidl charger Kildare

We needed to log in to use so had to set up an account. At the point when it asked for a phone number the only area code available was Nigeria. Obviously this then didn’t work so had to find another charger. Rubbish service

Lidl Reduced Scam

Be wary they put reduction sticker on items but then they still scan full price at till if you don’t check barcodes. They should put a sticker over barcode but then I suppose people would actually pay less.

I love Lidl products really good value…

I love Lidl products really good value great selection. However what i dont love is spending a great deal of money on a weekly family shop, only to have my shopping hurled at me by a, usually, surly, cashier. Struggling to bag my shopping said cashier sits with arms folded. So thank you Lidl I wont be using my voucher on an £80 shop. Its back to Tesco and Morrisons where they are more helpful and pleasant.

Very Poor Customer experience ..

Lidl Customer Service experience has been totally unacceptable...having made initial contact 30.5.26 with all these details supplied as requested... and being passed around since... I have now reluctantly been issued a refund for the item and shelter I purchased also as I couldn't use it without the mower. Really dissatisfied as I was excited and looking forward to using the product. Very Disappointed

West Hendford

West Hendford, Yeovil Lidl. I have ADHD and Aspergers and find shopping really stressful. I was distracted when queueing and didn’t see the red illuminated checkout number. The sales assistant was incredibly rude. Just shouted “excuse me” and pointed to the sign. She certainly needs some training on how to speak to members of the public. Wouldn’t talk to a dog like that. This was witnessed by another customer. This isn't the first time I've experienced aggressive member of staff. Female member of staff who often works near self-service is very verbally aggressive. Sort yourselves out, Lidl Yeovil, you are losing customers. I'd rather pay the extra to get it delivered from another supermarket.

Disappointed with Lidl

Disappointed with Lidl. Air conditioning units showing available online. I was the first customer in the store and there’s none. Manager says they got none delivered, however, 15 minutes before the store opened I see someone who works there walk out with one.

⚠️ Fake stock availability: Untrustworthy, unreliable and entirely unacceptable

I am incredibly frustrated and deeply disappointed by Lidl's complete mismanagement of their online stock checker. Today, the website explicitly showed the Tronic 3-in-1 Air Conditioner as "Available in store now," with a green indicator marking maximum availability at several local branches.
Relying on this "certainty," I made a massive effort to visit two different stores that claimed to have full stock, only to find absolutely nothing on the shelves. When I pressed the store manager for an explanation, I was casually told that the stock "had probably been stolen."
This is not just poor inventory management; it is completely irresponsible. Even if theft occurred, failing to update the system in real-time is a massive failure. As a single parent, I had to drag my 3-month-old baby out of the house in the absolute peak of an intense heatwave, putting both myself and a tiny infant through an immense amount of physical and emotional stress. I only took that risk because Lidl’s website assured me the item was there.
To subject a vulnerable newborn to that kind of extreme heat for a completely false stock update and a lazy excuse about stolen items is disgraceful. Lidl has proven to be entirely untrustworthy, and I have completely lost faith in this company. Avoid relying on their website if you value your time and safety.

disappoining

Lidl is several miles from where live so we tend to use Tesco and Sainbury which are much closer. a week ago we were passing Lidl and so went in. We did a small shop and i was quite impressed, particularly by their in store bakery. i then received an e-mail offering me a pain au choclat free and also a chicken and leek pie. we therefore, in spite of the heat decided to shop there this morning. a few things are cheaper but the range is limited. the two free items were not available and i was offered no alternative or apology which was disappointing. we also wanted still water but they had no still water in the shop of any size. if they offer freebies they need to ensure they are available. i was very disappointed, especially since we travelled several miles to get there, and it will be a long time before i shi=op there again. i would have chosen the shop which is in Porchester but it did not come up on the list and if it is under Portsmouth i have no idea which shop it is as i do not know the geography of the area

Best to avoid!

The short version is that this company doesn't seem to care about it's customers! False advertising, incorrectly reporting items as in stock when they're not and a manager that couldn't care less!

I went over to Lidl Tadley yesterday to ask about stock for the air conditioning units, I was told that they would be delivered this morning and that there was no chance they would be delivered that day. I waited outside Lidl Tadley from 6:20 this morning to ensure that I was first in line to buy one. However the store stated (after they let everyone run around for 5 minutes searching for the AC units) that there's none left, one staff member said that they came in yesterday and are all sold out, then when all of your customers (myself included) asked for a manager, she told us that none arrived, they haven't had any in. That contradicts what the staff member told me yesterday and also what your website says as they still show up as "in stock". I've never been so disappointed in a company/business in all my life.

The manager didn't introduce herself, just came through the door and stared at all of us as if to say "what do you lot want?" And offered no proper explanation or apology for the situation. What terrible and rude service. A complete waste of time!

Weekly Food Promotions

Weekly food promotions used to include Alpenfest on a regular basis, which was great and we always found lots of interesting food items to buy and try. Nowadays Europe seems to be mostly Spain and more Spain, and now and then Italy. Instead we now can buy Korean food (cat or dog flavour pot noodles???) or American food (culinary pinnacle). Off to ALDI!
