Rubbish liquorice allsorts.

Lidl really need to review the quality of some of their sweet confectionery. The Liquorice Allsorts are worse than the cheapest rubbish I’ve ever tasted. They are disgusting. Hardly any liquorice taste, the fondant part is hard, brittle and every one of them tastes the same, and they are like a bag of mis-shapes. Tiny broken pieces, no uniformity bits of sweets in the bottom of the bag. Whoever is responsible for Lidl quality control needs sacking!

Faulty tin opener-offered £10 as a good will gesture by head office to be put onto my Lidl Plus account but hasn't happened yet. Got refund of £2 at store. So going back to head office

Faulty tin opener-offered £10 as a good will gesture by head office to be put onto my Lidl Plus account but hasn't happened yet. Got refund of £2 at store.

So going back to head office to get the other £8.

The tin opener had a three year warranty just lasted less then 13 months. Store Manager at Stanningley Leeds store put it through as a garlic press that would of been £3.49 for that but the tin opener was £1.99.

Updated I was told to call by the Store Manager that she can't even put the correct item in a returns recepit.

So I put an email complaint to the CEO of Lidl. I've now got the £10 onto my Lidl Plus account.

It's not arguing to get back an amount that has been promised by Head office. That this so called Store Manager can't even do her job correctly.

It's called The Consumer Rights Act 2015 that clearly she doesn't understand.

Parking is bad, stock delivery

Parking is bad, due to Arrow valley country park next door users, using lidl car park. Stock can be often missing even though stock that is ment to come in today in your adverts. Staff said not had delivery try the Bromsgrove store 10 miles away. Lidl was better when it was in Redditch town by the police staton, better stocked.

As extended family we all spent around…

As extended family we all spent around £1000 per week in store until they ditched the 10% scheme and replaced it with a system not worth much at all. The staff secretly said it was to save money. They were not giving a massive amount. You needed to spend £250 each month excluding alcohol etc and in the same month you needed to spend a further £200 to get the maximum £20 discount. So in total to get £20 discount one had to spend£430 per month. That insensitive has gone and with it our custom

Cancelled Interview

I was invited to a store interview with the store Manager, following a phone screening interview. I received a call just as almost arriving at the store, 20 minutes before the interview was due to take place, advising the interview had been cancelled due to an issue at the store. No actual reason other than this which is shocking, and advised they would be in touch to re-arrange a date and never heard back. Absolutely awful communication between the recruiting team and Manager of the store and certified for me that I have certainly had a lucky escape. This is not an employer I would want to be working with and the communication leaves a lot to be desired!

The Tondu store has just had self checkouts installed. No assistant till available when I finished selecting my shopping.
As a mature shopper these tills are not my idea of a great experience.
Im going to shop elsewhere if this happens again.

I’ve been a loyal Lidl Acton Town but I think they refused to improve

I’ve been a loyal Lidl Acton Town customer for almost 5–6 years, and my Lidl Plus account can easily prove how regularly I shop there. Unfortunately, the store has declined badly over the last 3 years and the quality management has become completely shambolic.

Fresh produce is consistently in poor condition. Most salad packs are already rotten even when the expiry date is still 3–4 days away. Bags of apples, apricots, clementines and other fruit almost always contain at least one spoiled item. When grapes or other fruit are placed on promotion, they’re often uneatable. It’s extremely disappointing to see this happening every single week.

Stock availability is another major issue. Lidl sends offers through the app, but the items are never available. I went for 5 consecutive days — sometimes twice a day — trying to use a 50% voucher for black grapes or tangerines. Nothing. I even checked Lidl Alperton and Lidl Hammersmith, and still couldn’t find either item. Why produce vouchers for products you cannot honour?

The fruit and vegetable section is always messy, with shelves looking like they’ve been through chaos. I’ve shown these issues directly to staff multiple times. They always say they will “look into it,” but nothing ever improves. As someone who shops almost daily (except when abroad), I’ve seen the decline clearly.

Over the last 2–4 months, I’ve started shifting my daily grocery shopping to Sainsbury’s and Morrisons because Lidl Acton Town no longer feels reliable. After years of loyalty, I’m now seriously considering boycotting Lidl altogether unless standards improve.

I visited today in the morning just to…

I visited today in the morning just to swap or change my duvet cover king size to double size but the man at the till named Anees or Anas what ever his name was, his behaviour was very disrespectful and disgraceful. He did not use the machine to check the price he argued with me that double cover size price is £9:99, I know two pounds is nothing but when you earn it’s a lot. This person continued to argue with me for 5 to 10 minutes I don’t know why this type of person was hired in Lidl. I have noticed every time Lidl hires really competent people but this person was not one of them. I do not understand why you put this person on the till? I think Lidl manager was also involved with this type of person please do take a stand on this type of behaviour this is not good.

I would like to see machine like to…

I would like to see machine like to take returns and receive money compensation and I would like to get compensation!

And better scan machines and Lidl points scanner! I would like to now know why they couldn't do this for me to take back the groceries that I didn't want!

I love going to my Lidl in Patchway

I love going to my Lidl in Patchway, Bristol, the shop is always well presented, fruit and veg quality is always good, and I can always find what I am looking for.
Staff are super friendly and always willing to help if I need it. They are really helpful when I need to do my big camp shops.

Lidl crazy self checkout non staffing

My local Lidl, in my East Midlands market town, recently introduced a self checkout area. At the same time they reduced the number of the old style isles being operated by their staff.
I have no problem using self checkouts, they can be very speedy and efficient, like they are at my local Tesco, also in my market town,
What I have found with Lidl, though, is that they are often unmanned. Which seems unbelievable . Worse , there is a barrier preventing you leaving without scanning a reader with your receipt. So if you need assistance with a problem or a product that needs authorising , you are trapped ! Quite astonishing. Often, the guy on the only open ‘normal’ checkout isle, has to stop what he’s doing and go to the self checkout area to deal with the issue !
Clearly , Lidl have introduced this change in order to cut costs, reduce their already wafer thin staffing levels and get their customers to do the work instead of them. Unlike my local Tesco who’s self checkout areas are always manned 100% of the time and often have more than one staff members in attendance.
Tesco have learnt the lesson of the importance of customer service ; Lidl have not . Which is why I am now switching to using my local Aldi in preference to Lidl !

disgusting

I have a few particular things I cannot eat from when I was a child. A type of OCD if you will. I do not eat paper, I do not eat plastics. It's not a choice, it's a disgust thing.

I got blackberries from Lidl, a couple of days later, as I'm opening the box, I see they're filled with the paper underneath them. The dark paper had turned white and all those little paper dots are all over the blackberries.

You know how expensive blackberries are in general, right? Healthy food is more expensive than unhealthy food.

Well, I almost had to throw the whole thing out because of the sheer disgust I felt looking at paper filled blackberries!

So now I have to choose between eating something I never wanted to eat or throwing away money.

Thank you so much Lidl! Maybe learn from your competitors and change what's underneath the berries. There shouldn't even be paper and coloured paper as that sticks to the fruit. It's common sense, you know!
