Evaluating 226 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently complained about unhelpful customer service representatives, excessive phone wait times, and frustratingly long delays when trying to get broken household appliances repaired. Consumers also experienced poor product durability, with major electronics and kitchen appliances malfunctioning shortly after the standard warranty period expired. The minority of people were satisfied with their purchases, noting that certain washing machines and televisions worked well initially. Some reviewers also appreciated exceptional customer support, efficient technician visits, and years of reliable enjoyment from their electronic devices. Buyers noted that specific television models and washing machines met expectations upon arrival.

Still awaiting 1K refund for a product I never received

I purchased a monitor from the LG online shop on 27th November and subsequently cancelled my order on 17th December due to the issues caused from persistent logistical errors between LG and their logistics provider AIT Home Delivery.

I'm currently awaiting a refund of the purchase amount and after numerous calls to LG customer services, I'm yet to receive my refund or have any indication that a refund is being processed.

In summary, I've had over 1K GBP taken from my account and over a month later LG are unable to tell me when I can expect a refund...for a product I never received in the first place.

Browsing other reviews, I can see this is a common occurrence, and there is no logical reason as to why customers should have such a difficult and exhaustive purchasing experience. Therefore, negative review is fully justified.

Review is of a LG Dryer from LG Washer/Dryer Appliances in the USA

Review is of LG Washer/Dryer Appliances in Huntsville AL, USA at www-lg-com

LG Appliances sold me a gas clothes dryer Model DL X408 without the parts for an important feature to work.

LG is not living up to the printed words in their Owner's Manual. Page 10 lists about 15 different dryer models covered by the manual. A distinguishing feature of the models is that "some" include a clothes steam feature and "some" do not.

On page 11. it is very clearly states:

"Included Accessories:
Y Connector (some models)
Drying Rack (some models)
Inlet Hose-Short (some models)
Inlet Hose-Long (some models)"

None of the listed Included Accessories were included (all are required for the steam feature to work on my "some" model with the steam feature).

My model DL X408 is included in the the "some" models group on page 10 that require these Included Accessories for the dryer to function as described in the manual.

Now LG is saying effectively, we sold you an appliance, but it will not work as promised with what was delivered to me. I have to buy the "Included Accessories"

This is a bit like marketing a car that "has air conditioning," but the air conditioning will not work until you buy the drive belt and pay to have some one install the belt. No one would rationally say the car came with AC unless it actually worked. Same goes for a dryer with a clothes steaming feature that cannot steam.

LG has failed to deliver a working version of a key feature I thought I was buying (to be able to steam the clothes).

Interestingly after complaining twice to LG, they shipped me two of the required "Included Accessories" when all four are required for the feature to work. God only knows what logic LG used to choose just two of the four items required for the steam feature to work.

I believe I am entitled to make a warranty claim that the entire dryer does not work as promised. Does LG want to incur the expense of satisfying my warranty claim by taking the whole dryer back for a fix. Or, is LG willing to ship two inexpensive hoses (LG has already shipped the drying rack and Y connector).

I suppose my next option might be reporting LG to the California Attorney General's consumer protection's office for not delivering what was advertised and what is an implied promise that is the steam feature I paid for would actually work. All I need are the required "Included Accessories" for some models which I read as those models listed on page 10 that include the steam feature as opposed to those dryer models that do not include the steam feature.

I purchased the dryer at Costco. I do not think Costco should allow LG to deliver an appliance without the necessary parts to make the dryer function with all the features advertised.

New LG fridge does not hold temperature

I bought a new LG GBV3200CPY fridge/freezer in Germany, hoping to use it for normal duties plus overnight fermenting bread, as a hobby. Unfortunately, three weeks in on my purchase, controling the temperature of every shelf with mini-termomethers, I have realized that the fridge does not have the ability to hold the temperature properly even if closed for hours without any warm food inside. The temperature is constantly up to four degrees celsius above the expected. The temperature controls have no influence whatsoever in the fridge operation, up to the point that they seem gimmicky to give the impression that there are actual controls. I contacted the customer service, which seemed to give an automated answer and asking me to look for an authorized repair shop, but the last thing I had in mind when buying a new fridge was having to deal with repairs three weeks in. I cannot recommend LG fridges because of this.

I wanted to buy my wife a Christmas…

I wanted to buy my wife a Christmas present. I purchased a steam closet from this company. I gave them $2000 because they said that the product would be delivered on December 22, which was important because it was a Christmas present. It’s now December 22 and they haven’t even bothered to ship it. Of course I can’t get anybody on the phone and their chat is a joke. I wish I would’ve checked the reviews before I allowed this horrible company to ruin Christmas.

What a QUALITY

I bought a fresh new tw in the local tech shop, and whoah, I have never seen this kind of quality of the video. Here is the name of it: LG 75 Class 4K UHD 2160P. Like I know about 4k, but having one in my living room is a whole different story. I already tried playing PS5 on it, and yeah, this is it! God Of War ragnarok was absolutely stunning, the colours, the lines, the brightness… Can’t really compalin about it, the whole family is happy to have such tv. I just hope the quality won’t become worse by time, maybe I will update this review one day.

Customer service is terrible to non existent. I’ve spent over $2000 in the last 2 months on 2 LG products and when you finally get connected after 3 days of trying and get with a text operator and tell them you’d like an owners manual sent to your home, you’ll never get a response. They hang up on you. LG will never get another dollar from me.

I have mixed feelings about LG

I have mixed feelings about LG. On one hand, their products themselves are generally solid. The build quality is good, performance is what you’d expect from a well-known brand, and when everything works as intended, the experience is fine. However, dealing with LG directly—especially around ordering, delivery, or support—can be unnecessarily stressful. Communication is slow, updates are unclear, and you often have to follow up multiple times to get basic information. Customer service representatives are polite, but resolutions don’t always happen as promised, which makes the process feel inefficient and drawn out.LG clearly knows how to make good electronics, but their customer service and order management don’t match the quality of the products. If you’re considering LG, I’d recommend buying through a reliable retailer rather than directly, as that may save time and frustration.Overall, decent products held back by inconsistent service—hence the middle-of-the-road rating.

ZERO stars for customer service

ZERO stars for customer service, timeliness, delivery, issue resolution.

Almost 4 weeks since I placed my order, and 3 weeks since cancelling because of extensive delays and lack of communications, I have been notified that my REFUND will be processed in the next 7-10 days for my cancelled order. Nothing with this company happens with purpose, efficiency, follow-through, professionalism. LG isn't doing consumers any FAVORS, they are a PROVIDER whom we PAY for merchandise. Their failure, repeatedly, to provide any communications, refunds, etc is abysmal. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY on this garbage manufacturer.

Awful experience.

Terrible. Ordered an oven direct from LG on Nov 2 with delivery date of Nov 12. Credit card charged on Nov 8. They rescheduled twice, then never showed up. After hours sitting on hold and countless calls to them asking where my order was, I finally cancelled the order on Dec 2 and they told me 7-10 days for refund. After 3 more weeks asking for my refund I had to report this to my credit card company who then reached out to LG on our behalf. The matter was not settled until January 29th. CS is super polite when you call, but they do nothing. We have called countless times, emailed various places within LG, but nothing. If you don't want to deal with this kind of nightmare than don't buy from LG.

Literally lost my order after taking my money

Tldr update: LG does not have the means to deal with actual logistical mistakes they make and their customer service reps have absolutely no way to resolve those problems. Anytime you have an issue with LG.com, you should call them to say you tried to call them, then immediately do a bank dispute if you can. When LG.com says they are looking into a problem, they really are not. At all. Like literally the definition of literally: LG. Literally. Does. Nothing.

I've ordered appliances and TV from LG in the past and have no problems with delivery, service or the product. Still love my OLED after 4 years.

This time I ordered a computer monitor direct from LG. They printed a UPS label, marked it shipped and marked the order 'completed'.

***UPS NEVER received the item***

I waited a week and sent an email to Customer Service.
Waited another week and no reply. Called CS who then stated they would open an investigation. Will take 72 hrs.
5 days I called back and the friendly LG CS person said its most like a lost item and they will have to enter a claim. And investigate, which will take another 72 hrs. (Zero mention of the prior investigation and any updates).

They never replied. It's been weeks since that last call. After being ghosted by LG, I chose to do bank dispute.

This ended my fandom of LG. Error happens, it's the way they are UNABLE to deal with an error that flips me out. It's so horrible that it will confuse you: "but I'm ordering direct from the manufacturer...how is this worse???"

The CS folks were all nice but they can only do so much.

Update 1/1/26:
After a MONTH, I received an email reply to my original first email, before I called CS. That reply doesn't seem to acknowledge or know I already called CS twice. The email just acts like it's a new inquiry and oh, they are going to 'investigate'. Oh, what happened the other 2 times a CS rep told me they were investigating? You know, the thing they said they'd do TWO WEEKS ago and then never contacted me. Even more hilarious is how I received that email weeks after iniating a bank dispute.

I won't even buy LG outside of LG.com now. I went to Best Buy a week ago and bought a Samsung monitor instead.

Last update: With 2 weeks before my dispute was suppose to close, I received an email from LG with like 10 people CC'd on it. The email contained a shipping label for ME to print... to RETURN the item I never received. I firmly believe LG only sent that email to gum-up my bank dispute, so they could try to claim they took care of the issue, even though their response was totally nonsensical. I won that dispute and got my money back, but that last email from LG only drove it further for me: I do not trust LG at all and wont be buying any of their products anymore.

UK user, user agreement error on new TVs

I bought a TV/monitor for my daughter for Christmas. I had the idea of setting up and doing any updates so it be ready to go on Christmas day. The best part of 5 hours to get it to work. User agreement error, literally you can't do anything without doing this first. Unfortunately the device I got had this error, the average person would have returned the device to the store. I found online the error dating back to January 2025, a whole year and still sending out defective devices?? I did the first fix and it didn't work, second one was to change the DNS settings, my background is information technology so I knew what I was doing but the average Joe Bloggs would have been no and return the device. My fiance left for work at 18:00 when I opened the box, 23:18 she called me because she hadn't heard from me. Thankfully I did it before hand and it's all mostly working apart from app store was refusing to open, I was too tired to carry on. Imagine her excitement on Christmas day and me fumbling around to fix said issue?? Saw they got an award for best reliable TV award, they must give themselves awards as I can't see that happening

No communication and poor customer support.

This has been a whole ordeal that I would have preferred not to go through at all.

November 12th, I order an 83" OLED TV and Soundbar from LG. There's a bundle deal that cut the soundbar price in half plus the TV was already on sale. The site showed both items in stock and delivery by November 24th.

November 20th, the soundbar arrives and the same day I get a call from the party that is supposed to deliver the TV that they received the order confirmation and would call back as soon as the TV arrives to them.

November 24th comes and goes. November 26th I call the party that is supposed to deliver the TV and they haven't received it yet. The site shows the whole order is complete even though the TV hasn't arrived or even shipped. I proceed to call LG support and wait on hold for 45 minutes. I finally get someone, and they tell me that the TV was backordered when I paid. I email them the screenshot showing the TV was not backordered when I paid. They proceed to tell me there's nothing they can do and it's going to be 6-10 weeks before they'll even know when the TVs are back in stock.

I ask what the options are and they state I can either wait or they can cancel the current TV and order a TV that is in stock.

I proceed to order the next model up in the same size, while on the phone, verifying all of the steps with the support person. They process the transaction and confirm that it is in stock and should ship in 2-3 business days.

About 4 hours after the phone call, I get an email stating that they've cancelled the first purchase and refunded enough that I am now paying full price for the sound bar and then processed a brand new transaction for the TV without any discounts.

Another hour on hold calling support and they confirm that there was no way to keep the deal and the only way to get the discount is to return this soundbar and buy a new one with the promotion and the TV.

At that point I have them cancel the new TV purchase and refund it as well as process the return on the soundbar.

I ship the soundbar back the first week of December after they finally emailed the return label.

It is now December 12th. They have had the soundbar for 6 business days and are stating that they can't process the refund because I'm outside of the return window.

Damaged Oven and Terrible Customer Service

opened the box, I discovered the bottom oven door was broken and the interior metal was bent. Since then, I’ve spent three days trying to get help—three hours on hold, four emails sent, and a 45-minute chat where I was assured someone would call me back. No one ever did.

This level of customer service is extremely disappointing. Not only was the product delivered damaged, but LG has shown no urgency or accountability in resolving the issue. I expect a prompt and professional response, and until then, I cannot recommend LG to anyone.

Been trying to get service for a dryer…

Been trying to get service for a dryer that’s not getting warm consistently, sometimes it warns & sometimes it doesn’t heat at all. Bought in 2024. They ask you to run tests for them before they will send a technician. Even when they say a tech will be calling/texting you, it’s a robot NOT a real person. Been going around in circles for a week. Finally called LG again, spoke to a live person, ran a process with dryer, now waiting for 1 hour then calling them back. I see all their reviews are bad.

Title

Title: Extremely Disappointing Service — Warranty Not Honoured & TV Potentially Lost

I am utterly disappointed with the service I have received from LG Electronics (LGE) regarding my faulty LG OLED TV. When I purchased the TV for almost £2,000, it came with a registered 5-year manufacturer’s warranty. The TV is only two years old, so the fault should have been fully covered. Instead, I was told I had to pay £250 as a ‘repair and collection fee’, which was never properly explained and makes no sense for a product under warranty.

My TV was collected on 1/12/2025 after I paid this £250 fee. I was assured that the collection and repair would take 7 days. Since then, I have not received a single update regarding the repair, status, or even confirmation of where my TV is.

I have contacted LGE three times, spending 30–60 minutes each time on the phone, being passed around from one agent to another. I have explained my situation repeatedly, but whenever I ask the most basic questions—Where is my TV? Has it been repaired? When will it be returned?—no one can answer. Agents avoid the questions entirely.

At this point, I strongly suspect that my TV has either been lost or damaged, which would explain why no one will provide written confirmation or even acknowledge its location. I have asked for managers to contact me and requested email correspondence regarding the collection, repair, and whereabouts of my TV—nothing has been sent.

This is far from the level of service expected from a brand that claims to be one of the world’s leading TV manufacturers. The entire experience—especially for a TV under a 5-year warranty—has been appalling. LGE has used every excuse possible to avoid resolving the issue, honouring the warranty, or providing transparency.

I have now lodged a formal complaint with the executive team, and I am still waiting for the return of my TV in working condition. I am shocked that I had to pay £250 for a repair that should have been covered, and even more shocked that I have been left completely in the dark since the day of collection.

I cannot recommend LGE based on this experience. Their customer service and warranty handling have been unacceptable.

Extremely disappointed with LG and their installers

I recently purchased an LG ThinQ washing machine and the entire experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. LG sent contractors to install the machine, but they did not install it correctly. The first time I used it, the machine caused a major flood in my kitchen, soaking the floors and leaving me dealing with a massive mess. The cleanup alone took over 3 hours, and to make things worse, the installers had damaged my cabinet fittings by forcing a tube/pipe through the units in a way that clearly wasn’t correct or professional. What has made this situation even worse is LG’s response—or rather, their lack of one. I’ve reached out multiple times, but LG is now ignoring my complaints entirely. No offer of compensation, no acknowledgment of the damage caused, and no support to resolve the issues created in my flat. This has been a terrible experience from start to finish, and I’m extremely disappointed with both the product support and the customer service. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend LG to anyone.
