Cancelled my insurance without warning. Said I did not give proof of NCB, but I was never asked for it. No refund. This is a scam!

As a new customer to lexham they handled my enquiries and new policy process with professionalism and sent paper policy as requested next day .will definitely deal with them again although their setting up fee not cheap it was still the best deal around .

Very easy to deal with. All details are available in the portal and easy to make changes if necessary.

Easy to purchase online. Easy to get in touch via phone for an alteration to the policy. Customer service advisor was really helpful.

Poor insurance company. The company required proof of no-claims from me, but didn't inform me in any way. Three months after I took the policy out, they called me to say they needed the document, apologising for the delay. I cancelled my insurance on my other bike, spending £££'s, to then be told by Lexham that the no-claims evidence needed to be dated before the policy was taken out, so Lexham are charging me £££'s too. If they asked for it at the start, I would have been able to get it, and saved over £300, yet their answer was that it is in the small print. Also, the app doesn't work on android, the online portal doesn't warn you that you have documents that are required, and you have to wait over 20+ minutes for them to answer the phone. I'd give ZERO STARS if I could!!

My son took out a policy on Thursday morning with Lexham and his circumstances changed so we requested to cancel it through the portal and by email about 2 hours later. We lost our deposit of £76.00 and had to pay another £30.00 as Lexham said the amount paid did not cover the time he was with them! I did receive paperwork by email but if they had responded earlier to our request, this was not necessary.A company to be avoided at all costs.

I'm pretty sure this company does dodgy practices and is a scam. If any changes are made to your circumstances, they will force you to cancel your insurance so that you lose your year's no claim bonus, even if it's a minor change, for some reason they are not able to amend, charge you more would be fine, but no, you have to cancel, which is unfair as people's circumstances can change, but doesn't mean you force them to cancel, with threats of invalid insurance. I have had to lose my NCB because they will not amend.

A company of jerks. For 3 years ncb, I still had a lot more to pay for my insurance for my new motorbike, even though the older one had a bigger engine and less safety measures, and the insurance was cheaper. The thing is, they haven't requested proof of ncb when I signed and pay the insurance, but only after several months. They gave a 7 day notice to send them the proof, otherwise they will cancel my policy. It happened to the worst moment, while I have been away in holiday, where I have poor internet or no internet at all. They could at least try to call or give a longer notice...

Best value for bike insurance

So many problems over the years with low service standards elsewhere so the Lexham level has been refreshing. The app is easy and the access to documents etc miles better than other bike insurance agents. But a special shout to Dani at Lancaster Gate the Lexham claims agent which was phenomenal in my no negligence claim issue today. Most (all!) other bike insurers I have had would have moved on but they followed up to ensure all was good. Thanks.

I renewed my motorcycle insurance by telephone. This was a very frustrating experience because during the process the operator had to read out a lot of the stuff that was in the renewal letter. This took a lot of time even though the operator was talking as fast as possible. I didn't bother listening. All I wanted to do was give my payment details and finish the renewal process.

Wouldn't give this rating if I could take it lower. Motorhome recovered to a garage for a failed clutch. Returned as work not fit for purpose. Fraudulent change of vehicle details and disappeared from garage. Immediantly when informed of vehicle disappearence, cancelled my insurance. Lexham insurance has now refused to pay out as they are blaming us for leaving it with the garage. Still hasn't refunded remaining policy payment.

I had a renewal payment and they didn't offer any discount.
