We always have the best time in Legoland - no matter if it rains or shines. I love that it always feels welcoming and open, no matter how many people there is.

Turist trap. Stay away. Over crowded. Waste of money.

LEGOLAND enjoys punishing customers
My family and relatives 33 people booked 4th July LEGOLAND Billund hotel (yes that super expensive one) 9 rooms in early April 2019 and we bought LEGOLAND "two days" tickets for adults and kids.

Now LEGOLAND Billund announced kids don't need tickets and refuse to refund us the ticket we purchased before, not even a discount or something. We contacted LEGOLAND several times but always reply: not possible.

I think LEGOLAND Billund enjoys punishing their customers who booked in advanced. If there is no refund then we are going to tell everybody how LEGOLAND Billund treated their customers.

This is what I wrote to Legoland and they have not done anything yet. I wrote to them for 2 weeks ago....

My money is not in my bank yet. It has been the worst experience ever to be in legonland. The pesonal is just lying in your face without shame. You have charged me dobbelt and promised that the money will be back within 2 days after. And then when I went personally to ask you why the money was not in my bank yet and again happen the same with another payment. Then you said that it takes from 7 to 10 days to get the money back, I said to you that it was unacceptable and that I was sure that when that time was passed you will still change the answers about how long it takes for you to send me the money back. Now it's 15 days ago and my money is not yet back in my bank. It is so dissapointing that there is not even a phone number to call. The worst is that your employees does not have any form they can fill out when these mistakes happen so we can feel that you actually are doing something about it. I have these ridiculous tickets that can be erased anytime because of the bad quality.

We had a lot of fun. We have seen many interesting things. Every year we visit Legoland and we always find new things.

Its an great amusement park for small children.
I would recommend to go out of season.

The sixth man was Italian and the first was French.
I think racism is a virtue!
And the question was which number was the man who play with legos and what was his nationality?

Accommodation and food:
Extremely expensive. Both accommodation and food is extremely expensive at Legoland.
Eat outside Legoland. It doesn't take longer time, tastes better and is a lot cheaper. It takes forever to get food inside Legoland, despite the fact that they only serve fast food.

The park:
It's ok, but not more. We have been there three years in a row and during that time we haven't seen anything new, at least not for children below 7-8 years of age. Thus they charge very high fees yet dont seem to invest in new things. I still recognize meny things from when I was young, during th 80:S... At Liseberg, the theme park in Gothenburg, there is a number of new rides every year.

Weather:
Although Legoland can't be held responsible for the Danish weather, during the past three years we had rain on 5 days out of 6. (more than half the days). Fun killer. Should be reflected in the prices which it most definitely isn't.

Legoland is a fantastic place for both kids, parents and even grandparents. There are plenty of things to try and even more to pleasure the eye. Legoland would deserve 5 stars if it was not for the prices inside the park, and for the too many people in there.

BUT...

- Thousands of DKK can easily evaporate in Legoland. Prices for food, drinks, candy etc. inside the park are EXPENSIVE. Also the shops... You will probaly always be able to find a better deal online somewhere.
- Good weather means LOTS of people and lot of waiting time. You won't be able to try many things. You will spent the day waiting in lines - sometimes up to an hour for the most popular events. (If you have PLENTY of MONEY!!! you can purchase a Q-bot that will allow you to go in front of the line). If you have a disabled child and documentation for that, you can ask for a bracelet (for free) that will allow that kid + an adult helper and a few followers to go in front of the line many places. Thanks to Legoland for that arrangement :-)
SO... Dress for the weather and go there on a cold cloudy rainy windy day - It will be so much more fun.
Make a good lunch pack and drinks from home. Bring drinks in a cooler bag and some kind of trolley, stroller or like to carry it. Also bring some sweets, crisps and whatever you need. It can easily save a family more than 1000 kr.
Search for free tickets - they can be found if you do some research ahead. Free tickets are usually for kids - and will save you around 250 kr. per kid. Google "Legoland fribilletter"

I can not recommend anyone using their time and energy to visit Legoland. Legoland is a sad sad shadow of what it has been 20 years ago, and is no equal to the image LEGO has built and modernized through stuff like Ninjago and the LEGO-movies.

Legoland has NOTHING to do with LEGO – it is very important to understand this before you go an throw your money at them, just to come out with a huge disappointment.

 The entry prices are absolutely ridiculous. If you are paying full price you are basically getting robbed. If you absolutely want to get into this sad place, at least buy some of the Adult tickets you can get through different organizations to around 230 kr. and kids can get in for 0 kr. if there have been some voucher events like there was from Shell stations.

 Good staff is hard to get for any company, but you would expect that a place like Legoland would be able to get absolutely the best staff and employees available, both to support the brand and to support the prices. This is not the case. Staff is unfriendly, looks like they are not having a good time and don’t know anything about what service and making a good time for their guests means.

 You stand in ride queue around half the time of your total time in Legoland, and the rides usually takes a couple of minutes – they provide Q-bots which sets you back 600 kr. if you want to skip these crazy queues.

 They let far too many people into the park – it is really crazy.

 Everything is old, sad and mostly in bad condition.

 EVERYTHING in the park and around it is priced to the sky. It feels like you are being taxed with a 100% Legoland tax as soon as you enter the gates of the park. Parking is 50 kr., a hotdog is 50kr. a 1 person main menu at one of the restaurants is 165kr. and so on and so on – oh yeh, and a picture from the Zafari ride, which is a kind of stupidly simple and slow ride, costs you – yep – 85 kr.

The problem around prices is that it is extremely non-family friendly – it is obvious that if you come into the park as a family of 4 and just want a quick hotdog, its 200kr. If you later on want late lunch in one of the restaurants, it will quickly end at around 800kr. Once everything is paid for a family of 4, assuming you don’t want to hold yourself back due to thinking of money all the time, you will have easily paid 5000-8000kr. when you get out.

Save yourself and your family and your money, and do something else. Get a quick and cheap vacation flight to a warm place, go buy your kids new bicycles, buy your son a new computer, your daughter a new tablet.. hell, do something else to use your money and to give your family some good memories.

Beautiful park, but I wouldn't recommend ANYONE going here. If you are here when the park is at their busiest hours, prepare for a living hell. Every ride or carousel got no less than 1 hour waiting time. If you are lucky you might get to ride around 4 carousels in a day. And the fact that you wait 1-2 hours to take a ride that lasts for 1 minute is absurd. The park should make a limit of how many people they let in. Because there is WAY too many people here. You are constantly walking in a crowd, the only place where you are alone and get privacy & personal space is at the toilets. Where there usually is a 10 minute waiting time. The owners of this park is mad r
ich. Why they don't try to make a fun park for everybody without crowding the park I don't understand. The only thing they care about is money. Also the official Lego store is in the park. The things there costs WAY more money then it would in a regular store. This amusement park got so many things to improve on I can't even list them all.

Nice park and attractions, but not all the staff was smiling and energetic as you should be in a park like this full of kids.

The things you can buy are the most over-priced things you can find on earth. 100% money-hungry company, nothing else.

The estimated queue times are a total lie, you have to add +15 mins on a busy day.

There's only 1 single-ride queue in the whole park (polar x-plorer) which is quite sad. Xtreme racers and the Dragon should have too, since I've seen so many rides take off with 1-2 seats available, which could easily be filled by us, who actually don't mind sitting next to a stranger.

Wealthy people are able to jump the Q with extra payment!!! i.e. +600kr Our family will not visit Legoland anymore, and we will look for alternatives regarding Lego toys. Done.
This park and company belongs to the wealthiest family in DK, so be less greedy!!!!!!!!!

I organized for the staff club of my working place a day in Legoland. We were 40 persons and rented Legoland Event area. Legoland Event people did not help made a great day for my colleagues and me. Bad service, poor gifts, almost no animation for kids. And the worse is when i called a couple of days later to giv my feedback to Legoland Event people, they would not listen and kept shouting at me. Legoland is a nice place, but Legoland Event is not a good service and is far too expensive!
