We came for my 7 year old son's birthday. Unpleasant experience, dirty room, dirty carpet not vacuumed, Unpleasant smell in the room, hair in the bathroom, stained bedding, dust, the windows had cobwebs. some of the staff were very rude. They forgot to put my son's birthday card in the room. we stayed in one of the Adventure rooms. Worst coffee ever, dry breakfast. Not worth the price paid.We will definitely not be back.

Queues, Dirt and disappointment

We travelled to LEGOLAND for our son’s 5th birthday with our daughter and friends with their son - we spent £250 on tickets and parking. This was our first time visiting the park and were so excited!

Needless to say we were extremely disappointed - we only managed to go on 3 rides the entire day 10-5 as queues were absolutely insane, not only for rides but also food.
We paid £25 for 2 small boxes of chips and 6 chicken strips! - insane.

Then when we finally resigned ourselves to the fact we couldn’t get on any rides unless we paid £150 more for basic fast track we thought we would visit the shop - guess what - MORE queues! To get into a shop and then queue to buy things… couldn’t make it up!

We visited the toilets as soon as the park opened and half the sinks weren’t working - neither were most of the soap dispensers. Also I see other have complained about dirty exhibits - I agree - the Ferrari had visible grime - being the first day the park was open of the year you would expect it to be cleaned and refreshed.

I wouldn't recommend it unless you have loads of money to spend on fast track passes and food.

Not worth the money!

I would have loved to rate this higher, but to be honest it was not worth the money.
First game I spent money on, and it didn’t even work…
The queues were unbelievable, averaging about 40-60 minutes. We were at the park from 11am until 4pm and went on a total of 3 rides. We even had to queue for the shop at the exit 😳
The food prices were extortionate , and very very basic.

Well done LEGOLAND Windsor …

Thank you Legoland Windsor for making out short break so enjoyable ..we had a great time x
Special thanks to Jodie who helped with the accessibility passes and Hayley and Lily who assisted us on the day x
I took my three grandchildren 13 10 and 4 on my own all the way from Lancashire x everyone was so helpful even at the hotel ..everyone couldn’t do enough for us.
My middle grandson has SEN and needed access to the toilets .. they gave us a key to a family room so we could all go in together at the park honestly they couldnt do enough x this made our day so much more enjoyable without that extra worry ..we had a fabulous couple of days.
Our trip was back in July 2025 and I have praised them ever since.
We will be back next year and I’ve recommended this trip to all my friends x
If you tell them at the ticket office when you arrive that your on your own with the children , they will help you out with things that you may need to help you whilst your at the park.

Complete Rip-Off. 75% of main rides closed.

Attended Legoland on 29 November for Santa Special and also child’s birthday.

Bought the Reserve and Ride Ultimate so for 2 adults and 2 children nearly £500 spent on tickets. Barely any of the main rides were open.

I understand that at this
time of year there may be a few rides closed for maintenance but the park is either open or it’s not. I suspect it was mentioned somewhere but when tickets are bought several months in advance it should have been made clear this was the case at the time of booking. Apparently they closed the majority of the rides a week earlier. We would happily have come the weekend before if we had been made aware but clearly Merlin are still happy to take your money when 75-80% of the main attractions are closed.

Left very disappointed after a 6 hr round trip. Save your money and go to another attraction.

SHOCKING Staff zero customer service skills!!!

Short breaks customer service are SHOCKING. Extremely cocky and couldn’t care less. Liam as a manager, Denise and Tyler on the team are awful and that stems down from Ella’s poor overall management. I’ve never experienced such bad customer service in my life. Cancelled our holiday as they are SO rude and patronising. I see many others have had the same experience of this too. I will not support businesses like this.

BRING A FAST PASS

Me, my three daughters, my sister and my niece came to LEGOland windsor on the 31st December and the 2nd January. We very much enjoyed our most of our 5 hour stay and my daughters and niece had very much enjoyed going on the ‘Dragon ride’ and ‘Autumn’s adventure ride’. Although my second eldest daughter ( who is ten years old ) was able to get on the ‘learner driving school’ on the 31st December as she was 2-3 inches below the maximum height but she was unable to get on , on the 2nd January so I am almost convinced that she has not grown 3 inches over the last 2 nights.

Unfortunately, on 31st my daughters only managed to go on around 4-5 rides/attractions as of the long queues. But on the 2nd January 16 rides/attractions which was very much possible from my sisters fast pass .

The food was quite expensive
.Hot chocolate £4.75
.Latte £4.25 (which my sister does not think it is worth)
.Doughnut £10.00
.Ice cream £5.20 ( which we did not have as it is winter )
.A refillable plastic bottle £20.00 ( which is not worth it )
And there are much more ridiculous prices for food products

Overall, I would recommend coming to Lego land WITH A FAST PASS and to bring your own food and beverages . Also recommend to go on the Dragon ride /attractions.

Don't go in the winter

Dear LEGOLAND Windsor Customer Services,
I am writing to formally complain about our recent stay and park visit during the Christmas period, which was extremely disappointing and fell far below what was advertised and what we reasonably expected.
We are a family of four with children aged 4 and 9. We booked two days in the park and two nights in the hotel, (as we have been told this is a fantastic park and we would need this time) specifically because LEGOLAND heavily advertised the Christmas experience as festive and family-focused. As a teacher, I am unable to visit during term time, so this holiday period was our only opportunity, and it was also our first ever visit to LEGOLAND.
Unfortunately, on arrival we were very disappointed to find that a significant number of rides were closed, which greatly reduced what we could actually do over the two days.
Having never been before I believe this is poorly advertised and on booking we should be warmed that a percentage of rides will not be on. Although you are able to check this on the app, I was not of the impression half of the park would ever be closed. When I have paid for park entry.
This made the value of a two-day ticket and hotel stay feel extremely poor. Had we known that so much of the park would be unavailable, we would not have booked for this time.
In addition, the advertised “festive” experience was very limited. Other than the Elf Academy show and the Festival Flurries show, there was little else that felt Christmassy. The Santa visit was an additional £60, and there were no other meaningful festive activities included.
We also purchased the digital photo package, but due to ride closures we only received two photos in total, making this purchase feel completely unjustified.

I do feel disappointed and feel there are areas you could improve on. For example give each child a height sticker on entry, so a family doesn't queue for 45mins + to be told the child can not go on, if families have a sticker at the start it is one check.

We were also not the only family to feel like this during our period, so advertising and more details on bookings about the number of rides total and how many will not be available should be prioritise
Overall, this experience felt misleading. The level of advertising around Christmas suggested a full, festive park experience, yet the reality was that much of the park was closed and the additional Christmas elements were minimal or came at extra cost. For a family of four, this represented a significant financial outlay, and it is upsetting that our first LEGOLAND visit was so underwhelming.

An expensive disappointment

Arrived at the park on 28 Dec with my 3 great niece's aged 5,9 and 12 expecting a fun day out and was very disappointed. Only 7 attractions were operational and only 3suitable for the 12 year old. The numerous Christmas tree lined the routes but not a bauble in sight or any kind of decoration. It would be better to leave the trees in the soil and select maybe 20 and decorate them like it was Christmas! Lunchtime and we tried all the advertised restaurants and all but the pizza/pasta buffet were closed. The price advertised outside was £15 for adults and £9 for children. Pretty expensive to sit at a bench table and help yourself from a not very appealing display of food. But worst was to come because when got inside we were charged £22 for adults and £15 for each of the children!! My niece is dairy intolerant and was told sorry everything contained milk so all that was available to her was the salad bar! No discount on the price though.
The only highlight of the day was the mini village that all the girls enjoyed.
All in all a very expensive disappointment. I have no intention of going again and will be advising my friends to think twice before they do so.

Probably the worst paid for experience I have ever had

Probably the worst paid for experience I have ever had!

We got here at opening for an Xmas show, which was 4 blokes with trumpets looking hungover

We walked though miniland which was broken down, most of the stuff didn't work and it was so old and worn you couldn't read the labels

The park was rammed, I could barely move all day, and half the rides are closed for winter

I can't believe they sell this many tickets, we qued for 45 mins to sit in a pirate ship for 3 minutes, then we qued for ninjago, it said 55 min wait but after 1:45 hours in the que the ride broke and we had to leave, went to lunch at pirate burgers where the que was half way round the park, they had 4 tills for 1000s of people and 1 ketchup dispenser 🤣

So at this point it's 2 pm we have done 1 ride and every rides que is 60 mins so we can do like 1 thing before it closes

For 5 of us we spent £210 to get in, then evey drink or bite to eat costs £50+ and has a que

Genuinly I think we'd have had more fun getting all that money in £1 coins and throwing them in a fountain

The only positive think I can say is I actually think the staff were exceptional, totally overworked and overwhelmed with eveything breaking around them, they were kind and polite and doing thier best, but the park honestly was atrocious, the owners should be ashamed of themselves

Kind of annoyed Google makes you do atleast 1 star because the park doesn't deserve it, so my 1 star is for the staff x

16 rides/attractions were closed on the day!!

16 rides/attractions were closed on the day!! And when I complained as my seven year old waited for months to go on the Flight of the Sky Lion ride, to name one, I was met with indifference & insouciant attitude! Absolutely shocked by the attitude towards their customers. Could just be the bad apple but I will be pursuing this. They may have a niche market but this shoddy customer service will not do & I will not tolerate it.

Legoland disappointment

Well LEGOLAND how disappointed we all were. I visited your theme park over 10 years ago and I loved every second of it. I was sooo excited to go back and bring my family to see this amazing place. But what has happened to the place!! Legoland has turned into a money making scheme!!
I thought going at Christmas time be so magical, but how wrong was I. Half the park was closed and it felt quite deserted walking around. The Christmas world was only for people paying extra to visit santa. The rides that they had opened meant that the queues were between 40 and 60 minutes wait each! Which made it longer was people could pay and reserve rides, this completely devalues a already expensive entry ticket to then have to explain to your bored and fed up children that the reason people are going ahead of us is because they can pay more money to jump the queue. Which is just encouraging a bigger divide between class of people. We only managed a few rides yesterday as the queues were so long and with 3 young kids it just makes it a miserable experience. Also I remember 10years ago being amazed with the amount of LEGO built figures and statues, but they're seemed to be very little to look at. Also when we went on the hill train, when you are nearing the bottom into the main park, they'res an old water ride, which the water has been left in for looks like many years and the smell of the stagnant water was absolutely disgusting.
They're was hardly any food places open and the places that were open, the prices was absolutely ridiculously over priced. £11 for a doughnut!!!
The only bit I enjoyed was seeing the miniland lit up at night as it looked so pretty.
But I was also quite shocked at how dirty and run down the miniland looked. I think you guys need to do some more cleaning of the LEGO!!
Also the prices you charge for your hotel rooms is an outrage. Who do you think you are charging these prices, it's obsurd. Also you have to pay to park!! What the hell!!
Sorry but we will not be returning and I will not be recommending this money greedy company. Merlin you should be disgusted with yourselves.

Lots of people smoking and vaping

Lots of people smoking and vaping and the staff did nothing about it.
One person was vaping next to a food stall with the plumes of smoke going into the stall so there is no way they didn’t notice it.
Other staff walked past people vaping and did nothing.
When I raised this issue with customer service all they said was they would send off the comment to the appropriate team.
Lots of rides closed so this coupled with the smoking and vaping didn’t make for a great experience.

Don’t waste your money!

Don’t waste your money. Not with going to unless you have under 3’s. I went a week before Xmas with my 8 year old and there’s nothing for him to go on! Loads of ‘baby rides’ suitable for 1-3years olds but all the main rides were closed for maintenance - ALTHOUGH THIS WAS NOT MADE CLEAR WHEN BOOKING TICKETS!!! There were literally two rides suitable for him. The Ninjago ride wasn’t working properly and it’s really difficult for children to use their arm to throw the discs! He was so disheartened. The whole Kingdom of the Pharoahs area is shut off and the new big double rollercoaster is all closed too. We went primarily for the Mythica ride (it’s the only really amazing ride!) but it’s closed during the slow season. Whilst I understand the reasons behind this, it’s very unfair to not make this very clear when people book tickets. The Miniland area is all looking very tired and dirty - it’s been like that for years. Staff were unhelpful all day. Toilets weren’t especially clean and at 11am there was on soap in toilets to wash your hands. Really disappointing day - Legoland get your act together - this is awful for a large corporation.

Technical issues, rides closed.

Half of the rides were closed/temporarily closed.
2:00 I lined up for the dragon. when I was nearly able to ride it in the queue, they said unfortunately, because of technical issues, it will be temporarily closed. so I went on other rides. Came back at 3:30. Queued up and once more, because of technical issues, it was 'temporalily' closed again. It didn't open again. My favorite ride, 'Flight of the sky lion', was closed this whole day. Wouldn't recommend.

Dogs at Legoland - Avoid on certain dates if you don't like dogs

On 12th December I was just about to book a trip to Legoland for 28th December when I discovered by chance that Legoland is admitting dogs to the resort on this day (along with 30th November and 7th, 14th, and 21st December).

It was not made clear on the usual booking form that dogs would be in the park on this day. THIS NEEDS TO BE MADE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR on the booking form because a lot of people do not like dogs or are uncomfortable around them or allergic to them.

I suspect that this is a trial run for admitting dogs into all Merlin theme parks. If this happens we will never visit again and it will be problematic for many people with young children.

Fortunately I found this information about 'Paws in the Park' (for goodness' sake) before I parted with my money, but many won't realise and will have their day ruined.

Don't bother

They literally do not want your business. Go anywhere else. Impossible to book a stay in their hotel or upgrade your day tickets to an annual pass. It's so confusing, complicated and the helpline are anything but helpful.

Take your money to Disney Paris or someplace else that is interested in accepting your £1k of business. Shocking.

What an extremely disappointing visit…

What an extremely disappointing visit to Legoland on Saturday 6th December. At least half of the rides were closed, including the eagerly anticipated Mythica (this whole section of the park was closed). The father christmas visit was a joke, Father Christmas looked like a jobbing teenage actor and even my 6 year old questioned his identity. It's pretty clear that Legoland have no respect for their Winter visitors and prioritise only the main Summer season.
