Avoid this firm at all costs! If I could award 0 stars, I would! The buyers of our house chose to use this firm and it was horrendous from start to finish. The incompetencies and delays caused our onward purchase to fall through as they failed to complete our sale in time. We ended up having to break the chain to complete on our house sale and move in with parents until we could find another new house to buy. Our solicitor and estate agent chased and chased Legends for updates and did everything they could do to keep things moving but this firm is set up like a call centre and you can’t speak to anyone that knows anything about the case. A call handler may eventually answer the phone after many repeated attempts, but will just tell you that someone will ring back and then no one ever will. The solicitor raised the same enquiries multiple times, after they’d been answered. For example, asking if there was a service charge 4 times, right up until completion, despite being told there was no service charge every time.
There are so many bad reviews for this firm so I’d have never picked them but unfortunately our buyers did. They regret their decision wholeheartedly and I would advise anyone to stay well away from this firm. If your buyers or sellers are using this firm, you would be wise to refer them to the reviews and hopefully they’ll reconsider. It is a miracle that our house sale finally completed but I believe this was only possible as our solicitors were brilliant and therefore chased Legends so much.

We were involved in a property transaction where Legend acted for the seller. Throughout the process, our solicitors repeatedly struggled to obtain clear answers to straightforward enquiries. Queries that had been outstanding for months often received responses that did not address the question being asked, resulting in yet more rounds of correspondence and delay.

As the transaction approached exchange, matters became particularly frustrating. Our solicitor made multiple attempts to discuss issues by telephone in order to reach a practical resolution, but was unable to have meaningful conversations with anyone empowered to make decisions. What should have been a straightforward exchange of information became endless email tennis.

The most frustrating aspect was that many of the eventual solutions were entirely predictable. Indemnity policies that were resisted for weeks were ultimately provided anyway. Significant time, stress and uncertainty could have been avoided if practical decisions had been made earlier.

The consequences were real. We came dangerously close to losing our buyer due to mortgage expiry deadlines, had to consider breaking the chain, and spent weeks dealing with uncertainty that affected multiple families.

Eventually the sale completed, but it felt as though it succeeded despite the process rather than because of it.

I would not choose to use this firm.

In my personal experience, dealing with Legends Solicitors during our property transaction was extremely frustrating and disappointing.

Communication was very poor throughout the process.

We often found it difficult to get clear updates, responses were delayed, and it felt incredibly hard to speak directly with someone who could answer even fairly basic conveyancing questions.

Most communication appeared to come through generic contact details rather than a consistent point of contact, which added to the confusion and stress.

As sellers involved in a chain, we were relying on timely communication and proactive progression, but unfortunately that was not our experience. The lack of clarity and delays caused significant anxiety during what was already a very stressful process.

This is only my opinion based on my own experience, but I personally did not feel reassured that conveyancing was a core strength of the firm, despite their wider legal services.

I appreciate every transaction is different, but sadly I would not feel confident recommending them based on our experience.

We had a very positive experience with Meenakshi and her teammate Vipanchika. They were both very approachable, professional, and helpful throughout the process. They took the time to explain things clearly and were always supportive whenever we had questions or concerns. We truly appreciate their assistance and would happily recommend them to others.

However, there was one issue during our experience. One of the staff members who answered the phone provided us with incorrect information, which caused us some distress and confusion at the time. Aside from that unfortunate incident, the service from Meenakshi and Vipanchika was excellent

The most unprofessional, uncommunicative, unhelpful conveyancers i have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Everything thats said on these 1 star reviews is true. Being ignored, phone ringing out, not responding to emails, no one available to speak to, phone being put down, impossible to escalate an issue. ***So to prospective clients- ring the phone number and see how far you get- this will tell you everything you need to know*** They made the whole conveyancing process a total nightmare for everyone concerned in my chain, primarily down to their total refusal to communicate when trying to resolve issues. Pay the going rate and appoint a professional firm instead, a couple of hundred pounds saved upfront is not worth jeopardising the biggest financial transaction of your life for.

Very disappointing service. I repeatedly asked whether I needed to take any action and was clearly told not to, as everything had been handled and the refund for my withdrawn visa application would be processed. After waiting a long time, I am now being told to contact the Home Office myself regarding the visa withdrawal refund.
