⭐ 1 Star – Absolutely appalling customer service

I ordered an ARC TERYX jacket from LD Mountain Warehouse on Tuesday 4th August, paying an extra £10 for next-day delivery because I needed it for an upcoming hiking break in the Peak District.

What arrived the following day? A pair of Salomon shoes that I had never ordered. No jacket. No explanation. Just the completely wrong item.

Of course, mistakes can happen. What is completely unacceptable is the way LD Mountain Warehouse have dealt with it — or, more accurately, failed to deal with it.

I have repeatedly tried to contact them by phone, email and their online messaging system. I have spent time going through their telephone options, only to get absolutely nowhere. Customer service has been virtually non-existent, and trying to get someone to actually take responsibility for resolving the problem has been incredibly frustrating.

After numerous attempts to contact them, I have finally received a response saying they will arrange a courier to collect the incorrect order next week and, once they have received it back, they will issue me a refund.

And that’s it.

No apology. No urgency. No offer to send the jacket I actually ordered. No attempt to put the situation right.

So I pay £10 for next-day delivery, receive the wrong product, spend days chasing customer service, and then get told I have to wait for a courier to collect their mistake before I can get my money back.

What should have been a simple solution has turned into a ridiculous amount of inconvenience, wasted time and frustration.

The whole point of paying for next-day delivery was that I needed the jacket. A refund several days later is not a solution when the company has failed to supply what I ordered in the first place.

Absolutely shocking customer service from start to finish. If this is how LD Mountain Warehouse treats customers when they make an error, I certainly won’t be using them again.

I would strongly recommend thinking twice before ordering from this company.

Bought a few things in the past and always had good service but was about to purchase a Cap but they want to charge me £14.99 delivery to Aberdeen! Classed as Highlands and Islands which is ridiculous.
