Superb

Superb, high-quality product at an excellent price. I chose one of the most secure doors available, complete with a locking system backed by a £5,000 guarantee , that is, if anyone can pick or cut through the lock, you receive £5,000.

The fitter was excellent: polite, friendly, and carried out a perfectly neat installation. He used colour matched silicone on the outside, caulking on the inside, and even brought his own hoover to clean up afterwards.

I would definitely recommend this company.

Poor service

Poor service , poor communication . Poor experience . Very disappointed in a company that charges you good money for their products . We got a door installed a few years back , every time summer comes around the door/ locking mechanism becomes stuck . On numerous occasions we have been locked in or out the house . A danger hazard for the family . But Lancashire double glazing couldn’t care less. Takes them 3 weeks to respond to an email . Absolutely shocking service . Once again the locking mechanism is stuck . We can’t get in our out the front door . Still awaiting on someone to come out

I had an absolutely outstanding experience

I had an absolutely outstanding experience with the sales team at Lancashire Double Glazing, and I feel compelled to share just how impressed I was.

From start to finish, one team member Thomas in particular went completely above and beyond. His customer service was nothing short of exceptional — professional, friendly, and genuinely caring. He took the time to listen, answered every question thoroughly, and made what could have been a stressful process feel easy and reassuring.

Nothing was ever too much trouble, and his attention to detail and commitment to getting everything just right really stood out. It’s rare these days to come across someone so dedicated and passionate about delivering great service.

Thanks to him , I felt confident and well looked after every step of the way. A real credit to the company — I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lancashire Double Glazing to anyone.

Thank you again for such a positive experience!

Absolutely stunning new front for our…

Absolutely stunning new front for our shop! From start to finish I can’t speak highly enough, professional and obvious that it matters to them, the fitter thought more support was needed and they came back and added that later free of charge, I wouldn’t have known either way but there own personal quality and pride meant they went above and beyond. Not enough companies doing that these days! More than happy to recommend and they have my loyalty for life!

The glass roof has certainly improved the room
The fitters Phil, Kieran and Drew should be praised for an excellent job

This is the third time we have used…

This is the third time we have used this company but after this fitment we won’t be using them again, we had a front door fitted in Irish oak and when you stand away from the door it looks like a kick panel as been fitted to the door at the bottom look awful.
We contacted them which it took nearly 3 weeks to come back with a scientific reason why the door is different colour at the bottom, we were never told this at the part we’re we were parting with out money that it could look like this, never use them again
Also the door was draughty I had to wait a week for someone to come and have a look, so I adjusted it myself , very poor customer service for a repeat customer

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the appearance of your new door and the service experience.

Regarding the colour difference you mentioned at the bottom of the door, we raised this with our supplier’s Quality Team. They confirmed that the effect you are seeing is due to the textured wood-grain finish used on Irish Oak doors. Because the grain runs in different directions on certain sections of the door (for example horizontal vs vertical), light reflects off the textured surface differently depending on the viewing angle. This can sometimes make panels appear slightly lighter or darker, particularly when viewed from a distance. This is a known and normal characteristic of this type of wood-grain finish rather than a fault with the door itself.

That said, we do understand that this was not the look you were expecting, and we are sorry if this wasn’t something that had been explained clearly during the ordering process.

With regard to the draught issue, we apologise for the delay in attending. Doors can occasionally require minor adjustments after installation as they settle, but we appreciate that waiting for a visit is frustrating and we’re sorry for the inconvenience caused.

We truly value that you have used us previously and we’re disappointed to hear that this experience has affected your confidence in us. If you would like us to arrange for a further inspection or discuss this in more detail, we would be more than happy to help.

Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.

Problems from start to finish

We've had problems from the very beginning to the very end. We were promised to have the works done immediately, only for the works to be delayed by 3 months. The contractors who were supposed to do the job rang in sick twice in a row, which meant that the works were delayed even further and the company did not take any responsibility nor did they apologise for the inconvenience caused. We've had lintels installed and we were advised that the works would be external only, which was a lie as we ended up with a hole in our wall and a lot of plasterwork removed as a result. The glass panels for our door were manufactured to wrong sizes; we were promised the contractors would return within 24h with the correct sized panels but they only returned 48h later, which is unacceptable considering our front door was only put in situ temporarily. We were also made to believe that the window cills were included within the quote, which apparently they weren't in the end. The contractors did not provide any form of flooring covering at all.

Customer service is shocking and truly doesn't exist, as no one wants to take any accountability for the wrongdoings on the company's part. You have to constantly chase them if you want to receive some kind of answers and it takes 10 working days for a manager to respond to an email! I would never never recommend this company to anyone!

Dear Wanessa,

We are sorry that you feel dissatisfied with aspects of your installation. However, for transparency, we feel it is important to clarify the factual position.

• The installation date was rescheduled due to installer illness. While unfortunate, this was outside of our control. The works were rebooked at the earliest available opportunity.

• The front door side panels were incorrectly manufactured. This was acknowledged immediately, and replacements were ordered without delay. At no point was your home left unsecured — the door was fully installed, lockable and safe.

• The angle irons (lintels) were always included within the installation scope. Structural installations of this nature require internal plaster to be removed so that we can install the structural steel work securely and safely.
• This is standard practice. Our contract confirms that we plaster make-good only; redecoration is not included.

• The contract specification reference to “150mm cill” relates to the external window cill supplied with the window system. Internal window boards were not listed within the agreed quotation and were not included in the contract price.

• Plastering attendance was offered promptly to complete internal making good. Appointments are always agreed in advance with the customer.

• We have responded to all correspondence and provided our formal complaints procedure.

We remain committed to completing the installation fully in line with the signed agreement and to the correct standard.

We believe it is important that reviews accurately reflect both the issues raised and the actions taken to address them.

Fantastic service from start to end

Had a new front door and side panel fitted in beck brown (black) and couldn't be happier with it. The whole service from initial point of sale with Owen, to the surveyor, and finally Harry the fitter was fantastic. We're very happy with the product and service and are now planning to use them for our windows too.

Shambles

We recently employed Lancashire Double Glazing to fit a bay window, bedroom window, 2 cover boards and a new front door. The work was carried out in one and a half days. After completion of the work and on closer inspection we were stunned to see the complete mess the fitters had left our new windows in. Parts of the bay window missing. The cover board in the bedroom not fitted at all. Sealant spread over the new frames and the cover boards ends not fitted. a gap at the top of the window frame.
Following a phone call of complaint a staff member came out to inspect the work. We requested that they send different fitters to make good the original work. Our wishes were ignored and the same fitters arrived back. We didn't let them in and again requested different fitters. No such luck. LDG were insistent on sending the same fitters. It took them as long to put right all the mess as it did to fit the window and door originally. It took another visit, this time by the installation manager to finally finish the windows as sealant had been missed, letting in a draft. All the work has now been rectified. We will never recommend LDG to anyone. We felt totally ignored concerning our wishes. I have posted this review along with photos on Google review. As for their promise to look into it I'm still waiting. Not holding my breath,
