I can’t believe the last review I had a very professional service infact I would say 5 star service, and would totally recommend them.I had rats coming from the main drain, into the house, they
found the source and fitted a rat trap door and we know longer have issues.

They also explained quite clearly their fees upfront
Unfortunately I wish I had seen the other review before booking this service. We called up to report seeing rats in our living room and that we'd heard scratching under a skirting board. We explained we'd had mice in the past in this same place. We were told that we could pay a site survey to identify if it was mice or rats (£78) and that this fee would be offset against treatment costs. This sounded like the right option as either way we'd get the right treatment, so we went ahead. When the contractor came he immediately told us that we would never have rats AND mice and that he was there to tell us "you have rats." Which we knew...which was the first red flag. When we asked about treatments, he said he 'vehemently avoided' treating rats by putting rat killer down as the smell can last for months and 'causes more problems'. Then he said we could have a drain survey BUT this cost would be from another company. We found the guy to be half hearted, he just seemed to want to go - after telling us what we already knew. I wonder if he felt we were being ripped off? When we followed up on email, we were told in fact that our initial survey cost would NOT be offset against this drain survey as it's a different company. NONE of this was explained in the initial call. The owner denied that we even mentioned rats (!!) Which is quite frankly a blatant lie - why would we call to talk about mice when we SAW a rat? It was THE reason we called them. They then said we'd asked them to ONLY find out if we had mice. It was serious back-tracking to avoid culpability of what was, quite frankly, a rip off from the start - which they knew. The tone of the emails was defensive and aggressive with no concern for customer service or reaching an agreement - which should have been a refund or at least an apology and offer of a part refund. As they did neither of these things we felt others should tread very warily with this company. They also have a surprisingly aggressive policy of emailing their invoice every day with demands for payment in red ! Steer well clear.

Heard scrabbling and scratching noises in the ceiling and called Lady Bug. Had two visits: first to establish cause and second (following day) to survey drains. Rats were entering house via washing machine drain. They did a thorough job, explaining what they were doing. Finally they fitted a one way valve to the washing machine outflow in the sewer so water can pump out but rats can't get in. Would recommend and use them again but hope I never have to!!
The owner's unprofessional behavior at this firm was truly astonishing. When I attempted to book a moving-in survey, I was met with hostility and a complete lack of engagement from the person who turned out to be the owner. Despite this, I proceeded with the survey, assuming it was just an issue with a staff member who wouldn't be directly involved in the work. However, even a simple request for a specific time slot seemed to set off the staff member, who claimed it was impossible. I politely asked for a courtesy text due to the fact that we were moving into a new house and needed to coordinate other arrangements, but the response I received was dismissive and unhelpful.
During the survey itself, the person on-site was pleasant, but it took a total of 15 minutes to complete, which seemed excessive considering the price we paid - £102. To make matters worse, the survey report stated that we needed woodworm treatment, even though it hadn't been discussed or observed during the survey. Thankfully, when I sought another quote, a different company confirmed that woodworm treatment was unnecessary, and the price we paid for the survey didn't make sense.
In terms of pricing, Ladybird charges £95 for a similar service that other companies typically charge hundreds, and sometimes even thousands, of pounds for, especially when a guarantee is involved. We decided to proceed with Ladybird despite our concerns, simply because we wanted to move in. However, when I called the firm to inquire about a quote for the full works, I was met with rudeness and aggression from a staff member once again. Not only did she shout at a child in the background, which was incredibly off-putting, but she also responded to my request in a condescending tone and promised to send the quote before 5 pm. When I followed up via email to ask about any guarantees, her response was once again rude, stating that the company didn't offer any guarantees and that it was entirely up to me whether I took their recommendations or not.
Overall, I am shocked by the unprofessionalism of this firm, especially considering that I later discovered I had been dealing directly with the owner. I highly recommend avoiding them entirely. For reference, I chose another firm who provided professional and polite service. During their free on-site survey, they spent a thorough 45 minutes conducting a comprehensive check. In comparison, the service provided by this firm was terrible, overpriced, and of poor quality. I leave it up to the reader to decide how they interpret these comments, but personally, I would strongly advise against engaging with this company.
