LA Kitchens

I discovered that LA Kitchens and bedrooms make great wardrobes.
They designed my wardrobe which maximized storage space and also looked great. Thank you David and Leslie.
The design transformed my bedroom into a beautiful sleeping space.
I traveled to LA Kitchens in Monaghan because they were better value than anywhere in Dublin whilst still maintaining excellent standards.

Our Dream Kitchen

Very attentive until the balance was paid, then went downhill. Had to chase them up on delivery, then kitchen came with parts missing. Took up to five weeks to get the flooring delivered, this was after many visits to show room, e mails and telephone calls.
Communication was very poor from them.
Still waiting on a leeman corner unit.
Good points
Kitchen is fabulous, well worth the price.
Just a shame about after sales service, would make us seriously think about recommending this company.
It is a shame we had to write this review as we believe it could have been a whole better experience if la - kitchens handled the situation better
We are now in May and still waiting on a refund for a part they couldn't supply, after umpteen emails, with the promise ( I'll look into first thing) reply, they have left us no option other than contacting the credit card company for the refund.
Just a pity LA kitchens aftersales is nowhere near as good as the purchasing experience.
Buyers be aware.

Company completely dishonest

Company completely dishonest. Alan informed me that he "had lost more money running for a bus than you have made in life". Wrong sink, wrong handles, damaged units and poor customer service. I could go on. Buyer beware. Look elsewhere.

Avoid at all costs (which will spiral)

Horrendous experience from start to finish- and still not finished 8 months on. After packing away kitchen/laundry to start we were told will be 2 week delay only the day before. Alan Love (owner) also owns Kitchens Direct and the factory producing the units in Coatbridge. Used his ‘best’ joiner that fitted his new showroom in Birkenshaw. Shook on £32k for kitchen/laundry/flooring. Find out first week that does not include appliances. Find out half the doors not been made or painted. Upon delivery it became clear nothing sanded or painted correctly. All sent back but again only delivered in dribs and drabs and quality no better. Work stops. No cooking or sink facilities for approx 3 months (family of 4 eating out a microwave and washing dishes in shower). Then told didn’t include all of the stone worktops in the 3D design or any work top in laundry at all. Wrong sinks and door handles repeatedly ordered incorrectly by his staff and then Alan himself, myself blamed for changing design despite having sent links to the correct products. Design never wavered from original 3D plan made with Alistair his designer. This appears to be a theme on the real reviews for Kitchens Direct over last 2 years. Kitchen not measured right and cupboards rub and scrape each other. His designer resigned, his factory staff resigned. Then his joiner walks off. Another of his joiners came for 2 days work and wanted to be paid £1500 for badly fitted shelving, and mismatched brass fittings. At 5 month mark I had all cupboards at least in situ and nobody came back. Cupboards deteriorated rapidly and 2 Independant reports have slated the units, the design and the paintwork. Paid for a luxury experience, got a botched job with awful customer service. Other companies have had to step in and I’m pretty sure it’ll be a rip out job in a couple of years when I can bear it. Should have done my research, as there’s enough to find online if you look.
