Car has been sprayed for past 10 years and have a rust spot on rear hatchback near license plate , went to dealer in Bathurst NB To have it looked at for warranty ?
The business is a tire shop they had a tire changer come out to check car (all of 1 minute ) and automatically said no not covered ( surface rust ), I already had a body repair man check it and was not surface rust but rusted from inside out and should have been covered . Called krown rust and was told they would have a rep contacted me , still waiting .
Bottom line is it may help protect car but do not look for warranty once you see rust .
Now that being said maybe other dealers are more professional and helpful with a claim .
Had other car treated with rust chek and was able to get spot repaired when it happened .
While the service was prompt, efficient and on time, at no point did they advise me that there would be dripping of the product for up to 48 hours after. Now my driveway has "oily" spots on the interlocking and more in the garage. It is the driveway appearance that is an issue and I would have placed discarded cardboard under the car to protect the surfaces. Apparently they sell product to remove the spots. Either way, I should have been advised.
My recent rust proofing done at Krown Kingston Ont cost be $1542.00 as a result of their indiscriminate spraying under the hood of my 2018 Mazda 6. They killed my PCM( powertrain control module) by plugging a breather port for a barometric pressure sensor on the bottom of it with there product. It came as no surprise that they then tried to blame Mazda for a "manufacturer's defect".....and would assume no responsibility at all. I will NEVER utilize their service again and advise others to BEWARE! Your vehicle may also have sensitive electronic components that could be damaged by their carelessness. It’s good to know how little they value their customers.
I contact Krown rust control to confirm that having the Krown rust proofing applied to my vehicle would not affect my cars manufacturers warranty And while originally it seemed like they would be willing to respond as they responded with some general information and they requested some additional information just to confirm everything however after providing that additional information they completely went silent they have flat out refused to respond I have made several attempts to contact them however they have flat out refused to respond I have even called there customer service department however they just hung up on me.
I have made several attempts to contact them and have them address my concern however they flat out refuse to respond
