I’ve had my windows and doors for over 5 years now and still get compliments as to how good they look still.
I was incredibly happy with the service I received before during and now after the installation. Chris Jones has always been incredibly helpful.

Lee Bowers has been amazing at all stages of the process. From following up on the initial query, to supplying a quote and checking he understood it all. Provided great feedback that shaped our final design decisions and has been politely persistent to see if he can help. Had a problem with our ‘Funky’ front door, unfortunately the multi locking system failed. The door was under guarantee so contacted Kloeber who after asking for some photographs quickly got the process of dispatching a spare underway and said if we felt confident that the fitting process was a DIY task. Unfortunately the spare was faulty, but the service department again quickly sent out a replacement. My son in law contacted the technical department to check details of dismantling/fitting and they were excellent. Things went a little off course at this point, as we discovered that we had not been sent all the parts, but again service was excellent and technical help the same. All OK, but then problems with the erurocylinder, so speedy replacement sent. Stripped everything, ready to reassemble…, but the lock was the wrong size. We sorted that one ourselves, and with an out of hours call to the wonderful fitters the door was back in working order. Yes, we had a few problems and ended up paying for a new lock, but dealing with the staff at Kloeber was a pleasure. Clearly some issues at base, but thank goodness for the staff, particularly the fitters who are a credit to the company. Would I use Kloeber again, yes without hesitation. Compared to some of the dealings with dreadful suppliers in the past this was yes a bit frustrating, but staff saved the day.

Great team, nothing was too much trouble. Logistics perfect window carrier provided to get windows into a Victorian property with all the challenges of a tight space.

Would not buy windows from any other company as my other windows 6years old look brand new and glade perfect.

I don’t want to argue, I will just state two facts.

First, before making the door, you did not take actual measurements of the Structural Opening. Instead, you only estimated the dimensions based on the finished floor height.

Second, the fact is that my door was larger than the actual door opening, and the size did not match. In the end, you had to break a layer of bricks below the door just to fit it in.

Despite these undeniable facts, you still refuse to take any responsibility. I have never experienced such poor service before!

What’s even worse, I found out that this company is merely a middleman. Both the door manufacturing and installation are outsourced. As a result, their costs are high, their prices are high, but their quality and service are extremely poor! No one should ever choose a company that takes no responsibility for its work.

To your unreasonable reply, here is my response ：
We have emails as evidence regarding the issue of providing dimensions, and at that time, we emphasized that as customers, we are not responsible for measuring the dimensions. This cannot be denied!

Your service is inconsistent with standards. For example, during the first installation, a door lock was not installed due to incorrect dimensions. During the second installation, a lock of inferior quality was used, which does not match the quality of the previous one.

The company’s principle is that all problems should be solved and taken responsibility for by the customer, not by them. All emails and evidence are available, and we will further pursue your responsibility!

The process from start to finish the was excellent. The communication from Kloeber was fantastic. All carried out in a very professional manner. Any questions asked were soon answered either by email or call. The completed order soon arrived. Installation by Tony,Sam & Matt went incredibly well. Despite the English winter weather! They were always on time. Any problems were soon sorted. Rebecca & Grace in the office were great too. I will certainly use Kloeber again & would certainly recommend them.

Called up last week as had a little issue with my door and spoke to Lee, he was very helpful explaining to me how to adjust my front door. Would highly recommend.

Be prepared if you decide to buy from Kloeber, i purchased their external timber folding doors which do run very nicely however be ready for appalling customer service and a company with no quality control either at their factory or installation. I have had 6 visits so far to put things right and after 7 months still have water ingress delaying my project further which the technical director is trying to blame on external factors rather than the competance of his installation team.
There are further problems with quality and specification, the doors are sold as 'bepoke' however what they should say in their brochure is 'made to order' (as 95% of external doors tend to be) a wooden panel with 8mm of mastic filler on the inside is not a bespoke product, other agreed specification details have not been met.
I have an unresolved situation after 7 months leaving me a difficult decision on what action i should take next. Its a real shame the company operate in this way after you have paid in full, i would rather be recommending companies than having to give 1 star reviews.

We had a terrible experience with Kloeber, on so many levels.

The fitters continued the installation of our UberFront door despite knowing the door was not going to work. Due to an unusually low cill, the door hit the inside floor at the height it was installed. Kloeber never mentioned that the UberFront door had an abnormally low cill which required special attention. This fact had to be inferred from the drawings, which were not at all clear. The essential detail was contained in a tiny graphic bubble in the bottom right-hand corner of a drawing which required you to zoom in 500%, no sign of any advisory note which you would expect for any critical information.

To add insult to injury, the UberFront door had a visible bump on the front where a screw had been over tightened during installation.

We were originally told that we’d have to pay £600 to have the door removed so that we could raise the lintel and rebuild the opening to accommodate the low cill. The door should never have been installed in the first place, and even after it had been fitted, it had to be removed anyway to rectify the damaged caused during installation. In the end this was waived as there were so many issues over the following months.

The second issue, potentially more worrying, is the French door that was installed at the same time. The installation, wasn’t great, horizontal bands were left bowed, and there were some other lack-of-attention snagging, but that wasn’t the main problem. We were told by the fitter that we would have to fit our own external doorstops to prevent the door handle from smashing the glass if it were opened fully flush, or if it was caught by the wind. We were reassured that we could buy the (ugly) external doorstops for £3 at Screwfix. Doors which can smash themselves are clearly lacking in design. When we raised this with Kloeber we were told “we can’t possibly know where/how to fit the doorstops, because there are so many design options”. I pointed out that they had all the information they needed as they manufactured the door. This fell on deaf, uncomprehending ears. The final twist is that we were told that if we did fit the doorstops, it would invalidate the warranty. Unlike the front door issues, this remains unresolved 6 months later, and we have no clear idea how we can safely use these doors.

These doors were eye wateringly expensive, and the showroom presented very high quality, attention to detail, and responsive service at the pre-sales stage. I now feel I have paid top dollar for a third-rate product, with zero customer service. A red flag should have been that the entire sum for the doors and installation was required BEFORE installation. Of course, once the doors are installed, damaged and not working correctly, Kloeber have your money, and you have no leverage.

I would urge extreme caution be taken, or just buy your doors elsewhere, there are plenty of other suppliers to choose from.

RESPONSE TO KLOEBER REVIEW OF THE SITUATION:

We were never told this was a premium door. Expensive, like most of Kloeber's products, but nothing to indicate something 'different'.

We did provide the builder with the technical drawing, and like us, failed to notice the small technical bubble.
He did build the the perfect aperture - just too low for your unusually low cill.

We could not go for the survey as this would mean we would have the house open and unsecure for up to 9 weeks while the door was being made - a worse scenario than waiting for a week for the builder to adjust and make good - extra work which we had to pay for.

No-one should have to zoom in 500% to an important part of the technical drawing - that is just absurd! How could we be aware there were clearer technical drawings when they had never been suggested to us?!

We have been unable to fit the doorstop as we don't want to damage the patio door / glass - as this isn't covered under your warranty.

Oh, and no mention of the several bowed bands on the patio door that took several weeks to come and fix - Kloeber only wanted to do that when the door was being sorted - you're only a 15 min drive away!

I was nervous when ordering because they want full payment prior to install. There were some issues with the installation, but for me it has been the aftercare team that have excelled in ensuring I am totally satisfied. Georgina in the office was fantastic communicating and organising everything, Mark and Dan where very thorough in their assessment of the issues and finally Tony, Matt and Sam resolved everything and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy.
Beautiful product, friendly and helpful staff, so I would use them again and recommend them highly, especially knowing if I had any issues afterwards they will take care of me.

We were looking for a stand-out, feature front door to finish of the front phase of our extension when I found the “funky fronts” from Kloeber.
I’ve had some aluminium windows from Kloeber before several years ago so I know the quality is there. I contacted their showroom in Huntingdon and arranged a visit.
We opted for the supply only option which suited our project as we had the builders/carpenters on site happy to fit, so really easy to organise timescales.
The guys that installed the door were really impressed with the quality commenting on how they had never had a door before that went in and didn’t even need adjustment it’s so solid.
Kloeber provided very detailed drawings for the builders to work to and the door and window fitted perfectly.
We were given an estimated delivery date and contacted when ready. They held in their warehouse for a few weeks until we were ready and then delivered when it suited us.
The Team in the showroom were really helpful (and the coffees not bad either😉) from the first call the sales team were great I felt like they were there to help and any questions were answered quickly.

The service from choosing to installation was first rate. A special mention to the installation team ( Tony, Sam and Matt) who made the installation of our Uber Slide, Windows and doors seamless. Our 2nd uber slide our other one been in a year… no issues and looks wonderful

It’s shocking how many of these reviews reference installation issues. Even the positive ones seem to be about how problems have been rectified. Unfortunately we haven’t been so lucky.

The Uberslide door is stiff and heavy and has been poorly installed by Kloeber, proving poor value for its premium price. It has a malfunctioning lock and doesn’t move without extreme force meaning it can’t be used by our children.

5 months after installing a 2nd floor top hung window without a restrictor for my 8 year old daughter, I have been offered a £15 Jackloc as an alternative for the in built safety catch i was supposedly sold.

Installations were delayed and customer service was terrible. Emails go unanswered and they took months to come out to look at installation issues, in the end determining the defects were “within tolerance levels”. If they think the Uberslide is operating “as expected”, lower your expectations - this isn’t a quality product.

We purchased a Kloeber front door as part of extensive renovations to our house in 2017. The quality of the door is great and we have been really happy so far with the longevity. A small rubber seal started to wear off in the threshold so I contacted Kloeber to check if they sell replacement parts. After a very efficient communication with Daniel Davidson, a replacement was posted out to me the next day (free of charge). Hadn’t left a review when purchasing the door but wanted to emphasise now that not only the product is great but the aftercare many year later was first class! Thanks Kloeber!

I fulfilled my self-build dream in Shropshire in 2014 and searched high and low for a high quality British Company and so glad I found Kloeber. Toby Zimmerman and the team were superb. I have used my hardwood Klassic front door and 6.4m patio every day for 10 years. They still work perfectly. This week I contacted the company for some dark oak wood treatment to touch up the front door sill to find Toby still working there and he supplied some of the sikkens microporous matching dark oak 009 wood treatment immediately. Outstanding service. Highly recommended.
