Bad tour and customer service experience

Took my first tour with KKday to Tagaytay in the Philippines. KKday sided with the tour operator who was ignoring our concerns all day when we expressed that we didn’t get a guided tour in English, as advertised on the listing. We only got a driver who didn’t even know the itinerary for the day. We had to show it to him. We went with the experience all day without understanding what’s going on. Kkday refused to issue a refund.

Car rental from KKday seem like scam. It shows SGD62 per day. But after selecting 5 days and the total shows SGD 23007.58. App error? Better to be aware before booking anything from their page.

Good place to find great deals!

I’ve used KKdays for a tour in Taiwan and Japan plus getting a pocket wifi for Taiwan! It was reasonably priced and great overall!! Very good prices and the process is easy and smooth! Also customer service is very responsive whenever I need to contact someone! My most recent purchase was the
[Guaranteed & Daily Departure for Solo Travellers] Kyushu Day Tour From Fukuoka: Takachiho Gorge, Amanoiwato Shrine & Amanoyasukawara with Akaushi Beef BBQ. The tour guide was excellent and the lunch seat was DELICIOUS!!!!

Tour guide did not show up!

I booked a day trip to DMZ Korea. The tour guide did not show up at the time scheduled (7:30am, 20/11/2024)

Kkday app did not offer supports to contact the tour guide until after 9:00am. The tour guide did not contact me at all. They wasted my whole morning to walk them through the behaviour of tour guide and arrange refund. I still have not received any confirmation of refund.

Do NOT use KKDay!

Is there a ZERO out of five stars…

Is there a ZERO out of five stars option?
I experienced the horrific customer service on Thursday 12 September 2024 while I was talking calmly, they hang up on me mid-sentence. I messaged them of my disappointment, they said it was due to phone line issue. Then I asked why didn’t you call or message me back on the same messaging platform that i am messaging them on- do they have an answer? nope! This is not just a disgruntled customer because I didn’t want my money back…all I ask was to move to another date because I am PHYSICALLY not in the country! I have my flights to prove, my passport to show that I am a foreigner trying to book for an activity with the incorrect month. Did I apologise and admit my mistake? yes. I called within minutes that I booked and realised the wrong date. They refused to listen and just hang up. I’m so disgusted- why don’t they just let AI answer the phone, at least they have better tone and manners. Is this what you call CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE?!?!!! Disgusted, horrified, disappointed, trying to rip off your money- please beware 🤯🤬🤯🤯🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Wow, this company is so bad. It is a scam.

Wow, how should I begin? I had never seen a company with such bad service, bad design of apps, and bad management. I bought a travel package from them through Taiwan High Speed train official website called THoliday. The trip involved return train tickets from Kaohsiung to Taichung, and with two nights at Fullon Lihpao resort. However, they messed up the departure location. Instead of departing from Kaohsiung, it was departing from Taipei. I caught it early, so I informed them to make changes. Initially, they told me it was not possible to change, so we went back and forth for a few days since they are hard to reach by phone and the apps communication was slow. I tried to call them, but they were hard to reach. Then It took them about a week to get back to me and proposed me to pay for the surcharge for the change of departure location. I did that, but then for some reason the surcharge was in Hong Kong currency. Meanwhile we bought our own train tickets and ready to just go and stay at the hotels. Then someone from KKday reached us through apps message offering to cancel the entire order and rebook trip. We did that on line, but then they asked us to pay again without cancelling the previous order. Things were getting very fishy. They could not provide us the tickets in time for our trip. So, I reported the incident to my credit card company and asked them to stop the payment. Do not use this company´s service.

Ticket did not work - no ticket

Ticket did not work. There was no ticket essentially. After they swiped the ticket they could not scan anything and verify my purchase. Out of pity - they let me in. Thankfully we got in as I had bought tickets for my mates bday. Would not use again. They had not even heard of KKDAY when I presented the tickets.

KKday is misleading customers

Update below.

Original review: KKday is using misleading commercial practices and is selling products pretending they are something else. We booked a service called “Round-trip pickup/drop-off Taoyuan International airport ↔️ Taipei” and now they tell us that we picked a one way option. As it turns out, we went through all the options available when you book with a fine-tooth comb and you can never get a round trip based on their logic.
We did not ask for a refund but requested they change the title of the product to avoid misleading other consumers and they just do not acknowledge the issue which leads us to think it is absolutely intentional.

Update: KKday did in the end change the name of their product to reflect its one way — it’s a satisfactory outcome for future customers. The transportation service itself was good.

We booked tickets for washuzan highland…

We booked tickets for washuzan highland through kkday as the park only accepted cash which we didnt' have. The tickets were never issued through the app, kkday sent a QR code which didnt work and caused a lot of confusion for staff, and it took nearly an hour post booking for us to get into the park. We were only allowed in because the lovely person at Washuzan spent 20 minutes helping us and ended up calling KKDay directly to confirm the booking. By the time we got in half of the rollercoasters and all of the sambas had already finished. No compensation or help from KKDay, worst booking experience i've ever had.

Selling sold out experiences and cancelling last minute

Sold me a ticket on a cruise ship in Paris that was apparently sold out already. They did not send the voucher and when asked, they just gave me automatic responses like "they are on it" and "the internal team is looking into it" but did not answer any of my specific questions. Then, no surprise, they cancelled 1 day before. It was too late, the other options i had were also sold out in the meantime. They should have cancelled it right away, not wait 5 days.

Life/Death Situation Abroad via Unreliable eSIM Customer Service

They requested that in order for me to get my refund, I needed to provide them screenshots of my problems so they could have strong evidence. I replied saying that I did not trust them because in order to give them screenshots from my phone through their chat/app, I had to grant them permission to access my photos and screenshots, which I did not feel comfortable doing, and denied, as one of their methods earlier led me to a certification_error and notified me that if I proceeded to continue to the unsafe website, attackers could gather my sensitive information, so I did not proceed with the method and did not allow them permission to my photos and screenshots. They persisted with this as a reason to not give me my refund in the end.

Background:
I followed their instructions for "How to Redeem Your Purchase" which required me, the customer, "to install the eSIM after arriving in Thailand to avoid calculating the validity period in advance". It then goes on to show installation steps: method 1 asks for the customer to scan the provided QR code, method 2 asks the customer to manually add SM-DP_Address and Activation Code. I attempted both methods multiple times and consistently ran into these problems: method 1 takes me to a general website in Chinese where there's no further instructions nor any clear indication on how to proceed from there to install the eSIM as directed from the instructions before. As a result, I attempt Method 2 as described for my phone type (Android, Samsung) and cannot do so as the steps shown to navigate my phone menu do not align with the steps they have provided me in their screenshotted phone menu instructions for Android, Samsung users. This method also led me to an unsafe website and I was notified about potential attackers able to gather my data if I continued (certification_error). In conclusion, as I'm traveling, already on my third day into this back and forth dispute with their customer service, all the while trying to enjoy my vacation, I've already told them I've gone on with another service already as I'm in need of internet phone service to rely on to travel and communicate with family and friends tagging along, which their service did not meet already from day one of my arrival as promised and decided upon already during purchase. Despite this, they have said they would not refund me, even though I've already expressed to them multiple times that I could not even install, activate, and use their service at all, as both methods I've followed and attempted several times, on my own time during a once-in-a-lifetime event, at multiple, free public WiFi locations, have not worked since day one of arrival. I've not even had a chance to use their 10-day-service, as they've requested to be install and activate only once I've landed in Thailand, and now, I'm already three days in. I've expressed multiple times I did not want their service anymore (there's no point to do it for ten-day service from now) and have already moved into a different one that is already serving my needs for survival purposes that they couldn't do so, as promised when I bought their service/product. My once-in-a-lifetime vacation has turned into a living nightmare because of this and the only thing I requested is for someone to help get my refund back... I'd just like to see my money back for something I did not even get to see nor use; is this not theft? How about other customers who have experienced similar situations? Are they also not being scammed for a product or service they did not receive? Are they also not being put into danger while arriving abroad with no phone service they paid for and unable to install and activate?

Tours were unavailable after booking

I had booked two separate tours in Barcelona through them, Sagrada Família and Monserrat. A day or two after each booking they regretfully cancelled them due to lack of availability. By this time tickets were sold out everywhere and we missed going to them. Will never use them again.

Horrible company, deceptive tactics

Horrible company who hides behind their ‘no refunds’ blank statement even when they have provided a product and service that is not usable to a consumer. Upon numerous attempts to reclaim my $1000aud that was paid for universal studios japan express passes to super Mario world, they have done nothing to help me even though they gave me tickets for a time I won’t even be in the park. They do t tell you they won’t give you options for your area entry time like all of the other booking sites do and upon ordering I kept waiting for the section to come but then my transaction went through with no choice. The random time they gave me is later than when we will even be here and they refuse to give me a cancellation or refund. I am fighting this and will dispute with my bank. When you buy a service or product that is not usable you are entitled to a refund. Get off your high horse hiding behind stupid ‘policies’ and help me.
