I just paid a service company over $600 to repair our double oven. Turns out the 2 rivets holding the door-close switch failed presumably during a self cleaning cycle. The rivets appear to be aluminum... See more

Kitchen aid not giving aid
I purchased a 23.8 counter depth refrigerator in Aug 2020 that cost 4700.00. Sept 2025 it was no longer maintaining its temperature. A service call was performed and we were notified that the compressor no longer worked and the repair would be 1800.00. I called customer service and I was on hold the first time for 2 hours prior to speaking with anyone, then transferred to 3 other departments that could not assist me. I was transferred to the fourth department that had a recording saying it was closed. I called again the next day, again on hold two hours then requested a call back that took another two hours. The stated the only thing they could offer was a 20% coupon on a new appliance that needs to be purchased within thirty days. I just want to say I am so disappointed in kitchen aid. I have believed in your products as my entire kitchen had kitchen aid appliances. 1 month after the warranty expires there is absolutely nothing you can do? I think you should start by making sure you are selling good and reliable products. Four thousand dollars is a lot to invest into your company to have you sell faulty products and not stand behind their performance. I had a old Kitchen aid refrigerator that lasted 20 years no issues. I bought the new model and it breaks in 5 years with no accountability on you behalf. No more Kitchen aid for me.
my refrigerator is not making ice
my refrigerator is not making ice, i have had several repair men out and they all said defrost it for 24-48 hours, emptied and defrosted several times and still not making hardly any ice, this refrigerator was my first new refrigerator after 30 years of hand me downs, supposed to be "top of the line" french door refrigerator in black stainless. for what it cost i would have expected better performance
Kitchenaid Mixer
I have a modern mixer that works very well! I use it often and it always gets the job done.
I tried buying the attachments for the mixer however they were a huge let down. While this was a key feature in why I purchased this product, it didn't turn me off so much so that I wanted to return the item. I still use the mixer with no issue whatsoever.
I enjoy and trust kitchenaid products and will continue to be a loyal customer.
KitchenAid no longer stands for quality - DO NOT BUY!
Spent $2200 on a side-by-side refrigerator. After a few months, discovered it was not cooling properly due to a faulty auto-defroster. KitchenAid customer service is non-existent. Although they have sent a repair company out 3 times, the problem is still not corrected and they REFUSE to REPLACE their product. Now that the problem has gone beyond the 1-year warranty period, KitchenAid told us to file a new claim with our extended warranty purchased through the retailer and start over. WHAT? KitchenAid is not accountable at all and DOES NOT CARE that we have lost hundreds of dollars in food and medication. RUN AWAY.
Cooktop Model KCGS956ESS05
Purchased the Gas Cooktop KCGS956ESS05 to convert from natural gas to LP gas. Included was the conversion kit W10676662. I call customer service to get the instructions for LP gas conversion (after being on hold for 50 minutes). There is conflicting information regarding the orifices to be installed for LP gas on the burners. The cooktop itself has dots of paint color that represents the color of the orifice to be placed with the burner. When ignoring the paint dots on the cooktop, the colors in the instructions will match to the burners except for the center burner. The LP gas conversion instructions has placement of the colors for the orifices different than the instructions. The center burner has no paint dots, but the instructions states to use a blue orifice and light blue orifice (there are two orifices for the center burner and right fron burner). However the kit sent does not have a light blue orifice. In talking customer service they stated there is no substitute orifice for the light blue desinated orifice and I need to talk to a professional gas person whom they no recommendations. My recommendation is to STAY AWAY from Kitchenaid. They have absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.
KitchenAid Double Wall Oven
KitchenAid Double Wall Oven. KOED530PPS00. Horrible. Bottom blower fan is warped and won't start on it's own. We rarely use the bottom oven. We have had it for 14 months. $240 part from them $120 on black market.
Ridiculous Customer service
Ridiculous Customer service. Curt service rep.
Replacement parts for a 5-qt stand mixer only 2 years old, not available anywhere
Low Quality Parts and Unhelpful Customer Service
I recently discovered that the beater of my KitchenAid stand mixer had oxidized. When I contacted KitchenAid about a replacement, I was told that since my mixer is over a year old, it is no longer under warranty. I was also informed that the aluminum parts included with my mixer (purchased about six years ago) are prone to oxidizing and was advised to clean them with certain sudsy materials. This was very disappointing to hear, as I believe parts should be more durable than this.
I ended up throwing the beater away and looked into purchasing a new one, but KitchenAid only offered me a 10% discount. That hardly feels reasonable given the circumstances.
Do NOT buy a KitchenAid product
Do NOT buy a KitchenAid product. You will regret it. I spent $3,900 on a KitchenAid refrigerator in April 2024. I’m three months out of warranty and received a $803 bill to repair it. I came home to a puddle of water on the floor. The ice had melted and the fridge had stopped cooling. If you want anything covered, you have to use their service which takes a week to get someone out there. Thinking surely with it being three month out of warranty, they would cover something or some parts would be covered for more than a year. Not so. They were so rude on the phone I found out quickly that they just don’t care. I looked at all the reviews and I was just shocked. I am not alone. How can a company survive with 1,000’s of reviews about their crappy products that break in 1-2 years? It was never like this before. KitchenAid was a great product at one time. The high end of appliances. This will catch up with them at some point. Perhaps it already is. As far as the repair, I needed two of the circuit boards to be replaced. If it breaks again (which based on other reviews it will), I’ll need to look at replacing it. I’m actually starting to wonder if their business model is repair and parts. Really sad. I feel for all the folks that got swindled with this junk. Good luck to all, you’ve been warned.
Kitchen aid dishwasher never worked…
Kitchen aid dishwasher never worked right from beginning. It would stop washing and blink. Service has been out several times. We got a new motherboard and some other parts. That made it a little better but not completely fixed. It’s gone crazy again with blinking lights. I’ve done what I can do. The manual is useless. Going to go buy a new dishwasher.
I bought a Kitchen Aid dishwasher…
I bought a Kitchen Aid dishwasher several years ago. Unlike any dishwasher I have owned/used over the last 60 years, never have I had one fill up with thick, orange, greasy compound all over the plastic, primarily the bottom of the dishwasher, but the racks as well. Several weeks ago, tried to ask someone in Customer Service by phone, however, that is NOT an option in the VRU selection so I created an on-line request for help. Their eventual response was to provide all sorts of information about the dishwasher. I responding promptly, however, I didn’t get a response for weeks, not until I copied the president of the company on my response. Their subsequent response failed to address my issue, but instead, told me to call a technician. Based on this experience, I strongly suggest that anyone thinking about a Kitchen Aid appliance, to think twice for reasons previously stated. There are much better products out there, especially ones where the company stands behind their product and will help.
I would give them no stars at all if it…
I would give them no stars at all if it were possible. I had a terrible experience with kitchen age. I have a refrigerator and there is mold coming out of the compressor. I’ve spoken to three or four people there and they are completely unhelpful. They sent me to a repair service Who came out once and now I can no longer get in touch with them. Appliance repair specialists in Los Angeles. I will never buy another KitchenAid appliance and I would highly recommend that no one else do either
How the mighty have fallen.
When installing dishwasher, had to replace main unit 4 times. Later had to replace main unit under warranty.
Baskets broke. Depending on Chinese QA is a disaster. I will not buy a KitchenAid (or GE) product.
Had a much better experience following the NY times Wirecutter recommendations (got a Maytag dishwasher).
I returned the product almost 2 months ago and have not received a refund.
This was by far my worst online shopping experience.
I made a return over 45 days ago and haven't received a refund yet. Every time I call, they give me a different phone number and never resolve the issue.
They always say they will send me a check by mail, but that check has never been issued and every time I call to ask the answer is the same: "soon"
I don't recommend this to anyone!! Be careful! Make a little research on Reddit and you'll never by directly with KitchenAid.com.
Kitchenaid Diswashers have gone way down
After over 50 years of only using kitchenaid dishwashers, I’m very disappointed in a new one 2-3 months old. In the past I’d use the china setting if I was in a hurry a things always came out perfectly clean. No more. Today I used the express setting and 2/3 of the dishes weren’t clean. I’ve always told everyone to get kitchenaid dishwashers, never again. It’s expensive junk. I’ll tell everyone Not To.
KitchenAid Sucks
I have had my KitchenAid refrigerator/freezer installed for less than a year, but over a year since purchase. So no warranty. The freezer seal is bad and condensation is dripping on my hardwood floor. The repair cost is going to be over $200.
Great quality kitchenware
Great quality kitchenware! I really wonder why people are so pissed about the quality here.
Where do we start
Where do we start.
Large house, mostly kitchenaid appliances since they are (sorry, we’re) pretty good appliances. Wow, was I wrong.
Purchased dual dishwashers for the house. One broke within 45 ish days. Now they have us scheduled for two weeks out. Okay, a little slow. I read the reviews on the service dept. 1 star. You spend thousands and have worse service than an Amana. Never again.
Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever! Be prepared to be put on hold for upwards to 30 minutes to talk with a representative, and then get prepared to be put on hold again for at least another 30 minutes while they "supposedly" help you. Representative are rude! My Kitchen Aid ice maker is less than 60 days old and doesn't work. It is under warranty, so why can't they help me? I guess so many of their products don't work that they are busy answering so many calls. Beware when purchasing Kitchen Aid product- incompetent customer service!
15 Month Old Fridge - broken with no help
We had a kitchen aid refrigerator that we ordered in December of 2017. It broke in April of 2024. We got home from vacation last night and guess what's broken in July of 2025? We contacted the warranty department where we were told that no, it was not a 2 year warranty and even if it was, we didn't pay for the upgraded option to have emergency services on our warranty plan. So here we are with a broken 15 month old fridge. Horrible customer service. Horrible product. We just had an appliance repair guy out and likley need a new refrigerator. Will not be buying Kitchen-aid or any of their other products again. Not sure what TO buy but this is not what we will be purchasing.
