I had booked my Kerala trip through Kerala Holidays and I was very disappointed with the experience. I had already emailed them all my concerns more than a month ago and I received absolutely no response. They clearly do not care about customer experience but I see that they always reply to online reviews to protect their reputation. If you are a foreigner, please stay away from them.

I had been promised an English speaking driver but this was not true. I had to act as an interpreter the whole time and it was exhausting. The driver kept pushing us to do certain activities and refused many places we wanted to visit even though we had paid for a car and driver for the whole trip. Local people were shocked when we told them what the driver said because regular cars can reach many of those places. It felt like we were being pushed towards commercial activities rather than enjoying our holiday.

The driver kept taking us to shops where the sales people were extremely aggressive. It felt planned and it was very uncomfortable. On the last day he refused simple requests and kept encouraging us to just stay at the hotel pool. I also had to arrange my own transport for a short trip because he refused to take us. The car was old and stained and struggled on steep roads. The driver also answered calls while driving which is unsafe and illegal.

The hotels were good and the basic arrangements were fine but the lack of communication, the pressure to do paid activities, the resistance to our requests and the complete silence when I emailed my feedback made this a very disappointing experience. I will not be using this company again.

My family and I booked 16 days package with Kerala Holidays Pvt, in the beginning they were helpful and very forthcoming. Payment by credit card was so difficult, my credit card company had to block my CC and this meant going through a process of security.
The driver and the car was okay, although the battery died during our travel I had to help the driver to push the car, and he had to get a new battery eventually. But the worst part was all the Hotels were not to our standard, although the list of hotels were provided to us prior to our travel, viewing online is very different to actually being there. Most of the bathrooms were with moulds on the shower surrounds. We were promised 4 to 5 stars hotels I believe they were 2 to 3 stars. So before you book any package with Kerala Holidays Pvt, please ensure that you have confirmed 4 to 5 star hotels.
