Perfect product but slow and uncompletedelivery
I ordered a bagpack which arrived with 2 accesssories missing. It took 15 e-mails, 3 new deliveries at the wrong adress and a final successful one with the wrong name, for me to have a complete order, 2 months after the original payment. Exhausting considering the price.

I have a really old Kapten & son-wrist watch and finally the strap gave up. I guess that the straps are out of stock because I couldn’t find any on the website. But I contacted the customer service that tracked down two straps and sent them to me without charge. True heros! I’m really grateful!

Nice design, but terrible quality and zero response
At first, I was drawn to Kapten & Son for their nice designs. But the quality turned out to be shockingly poor: weak stitching that lets in water, and a zipper that broke after minimal use.
What’s worse, they didn’t even bother to answer my message about it. For a brand charging above-average prices, this level of quality and total lack of customer care is unacceptable.
Won’t risk buying from them again and looking elsewhere from now on.

I’m not sure how many stars to give. I’ve had my products for a few weeks only so I’m still trying them out. What I can say:
Customer care: Super quick to respond and very efficient into fixing my shipping issue. 10/10. Shipping was fast (within a week), no issues there!
Helsinki Pro backpack
The pros: It seems to be made out of really good quality materials. I have another roll top backpack made of a similar material (10€) from a low cost store. Compared to this one (only comparison I can make), the outer material seems to be of better quality and it’s softer. The structure of the backpack is quite sturdy and seems quite resistant. It has a lot of very convenient pockets which also seem to be built out of long lasting materials. Good quality zippers too. It’s a gorgeous design. Looking to see how it holds in the long run.
The cons: It’s a bit bulky and heavy when carrying and handling around. Really my biggest and only issue so far is that the shoulder straps are not built ergonomically at all. The backpack lies on the outer part of the shoulders making it heavy to carry and easy to slip off. A 20 minute walk felt quite long with the Halsinki Pro backpack filled at 70% capacity. My 10€ backpack feels much more ergonomic when carrying, which is a shame. For reference, it’s been tested on male and female built of 1.69 - 1.72 cm.
Trevi sandstone pouch
Pros: Very cute and soft. Lovely look. Has a lot of handy dandy little compartments inside and outside.
Cons: Don’t really have any. The zipper feels a little iffy but I’m sure it’s just me and it will hold just fine ;).
So all in all, lovely products and aesthetic. Good quality. Just a shame the ergonomics of the backpack weren’t studied better ….

It was a birthday gift and it took too long to arrive, 14 days…
But as a product I believe that is a good one :) sadly they don’t pack the backpacks on fabric bags, but more like recycled plastic ones…

Customer service ignoring me after raising faulty product
Ordered the tote backpack, which I absolutely love all the features to it. Sadly, faulty item that needs fixing or replaced. Customer service responded once but has since ghosted me which is such a shame. Not a trustworthy company.

Awful service
Their website says delivery takes 3–5 days, that’s been and gone, and I’m still waiting. I messaged them on Instagram and got told the bag hasn’t even been dispatched yet, but might go out in the next 48 hours. After that, they’ve got no idea how long delivery will take. Bit of a joke really.

Order on 6th June, it’s now end of June and no sign.
Ordered bag on the 6th June, mid June I was told they lost it in transit, sent another one out, it’s now 24th June and Royal Mail have messaged to say that they have it but have been instructed not to post it.
This company is a joke, you can’t get hold of anyone, they take 3-4 days to respond on email - the year is 2025 and this company is in 1990 - why does it take the best part of a week to respond? Where is your customer service to resolve these issues quickly? Why’s it take a month to post a bag? First time I’ve used them but won’t use again.

I have been purchasing items from Kapten & Son for years, I absolutely love their products. They are really good quality, stylish and such a wide range of luggage for any kind of travelling! I always get complimented on my Kapten & Son bags.
I recently ordered the Lisbon Duffle Backpack in black, for a going away on a camping trip. However, after a couple of days customer service reached out, as I had forgot to add my mobile number within the delivery details. (Completely my fault) but unfortunately this put a delay on shipping.
I was speaking with Amine, from their customer service team and they could not have been more kind and helpful. I informed Amine I needed the bag by a particular date for my trip, and Amine was very honest in telling me it would now not arrive on time. (I don’t feel you get that level of honesty or transparency from other companies out there, so it was very much appreciated.)
Amine kindly offered to cancel the order for me, but we were a little too late and it had been shipped. Knowing I would not be home for the delivery, and wouldn’t be back for some time, Amine arranged an extension on my return period, so I had plenty time to return the item when I got home.
When I got home from my trip I received my package, and I loved the bag so much I decided to keep it anyway. It’s given me the perfect excuse to book another trip!
Like every other bag I’ve previously purchased, the quality is fantastic, super spacious, lots of pockets and the fact I can change this from a duffel bag to a backpack is great!
In the 6 plus years I’ve been ordering from Kapten & Son this is the first time I’ve had any issue with delivery and it was due to my own mistake. Delivery has always been super efficient and reliable. Overall, the products and the service is excellent, I would highly recommend Kapten & Son to others.

Company is a Scam.
Giving 1 star because they failed to deliver my bag in the time frame they had given and now they have failed to give me my refund in the time frame they have given. Returns will also cost you almost €5 even if you send it back within the 2 weeks they suggest. A scam of a company. They claim to give refunds in 10 days so why have I been waiting 32 days to see mine? Complete scam artists.
