In the few years I’ve had my son enrolled in this virtual school we have learned a lot. And with the help from the staff and teachers we are grateful. We have even had help with the tech department.

We're in our second year with Pine Springs and preparing for our third. Our son is excelling in school, has made friends, and loves his teachers. This has been an excellent choice for our family!

I enrolled my daughter into homeschool because a teacher has it out for me.Yet my child was excluded from alot of activities,and mrs s always used the excuse something must be wrong with our system.Brought the issue to mr.b,thought the issue was fixed but if activitites where meant for that day ,my childs camera would be blocked off untill it was time for reading.Then her camera would work normally,Mrs p was an amazing teacher,the few times I did see her,mrs.palmer was always doing right by her students.I may not know her but she had a big impact on my child and made her feel welcomed!

Improvements needed for communication
My son enjoys his activities, and the school sent us everything we needed! We love it. But it is nearly impossible to communicate with my son’s teachers.

I love the flexibility for online…
I love the flexibility for online learning, how the teachers give students chances to catch up on their work when they fall behind. My student doesn't communicate well with others in person so she does better online.

Teachers are great HOWEVER ...
Teachers are great and very willing to help your child. However, my daughter was withdrawn and no matter how many times I called I could never get anyone or a call back. I had no idea she was being withdrawn. Actually the week she was locked out I emailed her home room teacher, who responded and nothing was said about being withdrawn. Granted her teacher may not have known either. After that and not getting anywhere, I sent two more emails to her homeroom and nothing back and then I realized I had not gotten any emails from any teacher so they must have severed all ties with all her teachers once they removed her. I did not check this schools reviews when I was enrolling my daughter b/c I assumed K12 they would hold a certain standard for participating schools. Apparently they do not. I do not recommend this school. Now I am requesting her records so I can get her into a public school somewhere else. Very frustrating. K12 support has been great, but even with me on the phone they can't get anyone at PrineSprings. 5 stars for the teachers though. 2 for the school as a whole is being gracious.

I've been trying to reach out to someone for two weeks, no response about my child being withdrawn, because she was behind in class work and attendance, because it took over a month to receive new laptop. I've sent over 15 emails and called numerous times still no response from "the only person who can help me" with getting me child back in school.

We love the flexibility of online…
We love the flexibility of online learning we have been at this since Covid started and we never realized how much of a benefit it was for our kids to be able to do school from home. We know they are safe and can learn without having to deal with bullies or nonsense that distracts from the task at hand. We would love for more options close to the Steel Creek area to get the kids out with their peers for socialization activities. I can say that the communication with teachers was lacking and one teacher, rather than actually teaching, he just put slides. He spoke at the beginning and then at the end but there was not good communication. My hope is that all the teachers understand that we appreciate all of their hard work and effort. We know your job is tough. Thank you
