I am delighted with these duets. As a private instructor, I am often frustrated with duets that are too hard to master or too easy. But Dolly, Op. 56 is wonderfully constructed and has both ‘not-too-hard’ beautiful duets as well as quite challenging ones. All the pieces are excellent. After mastering one of the less complicated pieces, every student becomes motivated enough to work on the next one! For the educator, a one-book of multi-level duets that have the enthusiastic motivation to continue built into it, is a big win for any teacher’s duet repertoire!
