I love this app

I love this app - as a photographer who shoots thousands of photos each month - this allows me to save so much space, while compressing very large images without losing vibrance - saturation - or any of the original look. I wish I had discovered this app a long time ago. Highly recommended.

Software plugin stopped functioning

After an issue with their software, I was left out to dry without any support. CaptureOne issued an update which caused JpegMini's plugin to stop working and refuse to re-enable. After standard troubleshooting, I was told to contact CaptureOne and the person helping me, Evgeny, stopped responding.

So now I'm left with non-functioning software because it was too much work to troubleshoot.

Edit: they literally just sent the follow up AFTER I wrote this review. At least own your failings.

We did send a detailed follow-up with several additional troubleshooting steps, including a fallback option to revert to an earlier plugin version that should bypass the issue. It's possible that message landed in spam - we've seen that happen with our support emails before.

Always reliable for photos

Always reliable for photos. Less useful for photos as it only seems to switch the format fro H.264 to H.265, which can actually be problematic when videos have to be in H.264 for compatibility reasons.

JPM definitely works as advertised

The program definitely works. I have taken photos with my D800 & 50mm/1.8D that have a great deal of detail and run them through JPM with no loss of detail. Some images of textiles show individual fibers. There was no loss of clarity in any of the images when blown up and viewed before and after side-by-side. I think the user interface should be normalized to windows borders and menus, and there could be some added features, such as file renaming, but as for its core function, it just works.

A must have.

I have been using JPEGmini for years now and I cannot imagine working with images without it. A must have if you are dealing with tens and thousands of photos.
