Very poor service

Came all the way down here from Rotterdam to the showroom for being told they were closed for some reason. No willingness to help or still show us around whatsoever while there were quite some people around.

Not flexible, not honest.

Unfortunately another unpleasant experience for me with an online shop.

I ordered a wooden dinner table. No, I did not read the supply conditions. That is true. That was my mistake.
However, I did read the 'before you order' on the website which contains important information you want to know before you order. Not a word is mentioned about what you read below.

So, once the table was finished, they sent me an email that my table would be delivered but the driver would only bring the table to the front door. For Insurance reasons the driver would not come inside. For me, single female, it is very hard to get a wooden dinner table inside on my own. So I asked them for some flexibility, explained my situation but all I got in return is: In our supply conditions we clearly say....

Again I tried explaining that I live alone and that its probably not hard to imagine that a woman cannot get a wooden dinner table inside on her own? can we please talk like human beings to each other? I'm sure I not talking to a machine who can only say 1 line? Again: No, in our supply conditions we clearly say...

So I told them if this is their wish, they would have to deliver the table in the evening so I can get a friend to come over to my house and help me get the table inside. I specifically told them to deliver after 18.00h. They confirmed with: thank you for accepting 18.00. We cannot promise it will be that part of the day but we will try. (really? you still make a problem? After I offer you a solution?) So again I told them that it will have no use being at my house before 18.00. The driver will have to wait at my house till 18.00 before I have support to carry the heavy table.

Delivery day. 17.00 the driver calls me: I will be at your house in about 30 minutes!

You can imagine this is not pleasant for the driver either. I explained to him the situation that he would have to wait till 18.00 because (again) I am a single female and simply, by laws of nature, not my own, I cannot move a wooden table on my own.

So I called Jorg Steigerhout to ask them why they still sent a driver to my house before 18.00? They simply told me I never mentioned a time in my emails. I would only have said: 'in the evening'. I was flabergasted. Not only did I mention a time, they confirmed the time and (if I'm not mistaken) 17.00 is afternoon and not evening. (If I were to have said 'in the evening'). So that makes no sence either.

So I resent them the email in which we both confirmed 18.00 and they stonecold replied: nope we never had that email.

I was done. Told them to keep the table and call the driver not to come to my house as I will not accept the table anymore. Such brutallity, and lying. No flexibility regaring a woman living on her own and just delivering furniture in front of the door?

May-be I have weird expectations. I dont know.
